One problem I have with the game is that grinding Primogems is too exhausting plus missions and puzzles etc barely give you anything compared to HSR or Wuthering
I wouldn't really consider Honkai Star Rail or Zenless Zone Zero competition as they're made by the same company. Money is the game for Hoyo and I honestly don't think it'd be a stretch to think they'd stop making Genshin if it just stopped being a viable way of making money, which it won't. The honkai games and ZZZ are just bonus money This is all my opinion though
To me Genshin is not dying but more in a unending loop of sort. QOL that should have been there from day 1 are not being added, resin increase cause of WuWa, Natlan being released will help but it's disappointing to see what they are offering, endgame doesn't exist, new characters look so dull, not enough free pulls, etc. And players just let them get away with it just cause. Excuses after excuses to justify such a greedy company, a free ten pull won't hurt.
@@francescoettwedda-1875to play a gatcha game means to pull for the characters, even though Genshin manages very well power creep it’s actually disheartening to see that not even with blessing you can’t get one pull a day. Also a big bonus HSR has over Genshin is the auto battle feature that makes resin spending much more easier for someone who has a busy lifestyle such as myself, while in Genshin I have to actively take at least half an hour to spend my resin and do a little bit of exploring in order to get that wish a day I was talking about, bottom line is the rewards don’t match the time you have to invest in the game each day and it’s sad because I love Genshin I’ve been playing it for 3.5 years and I still want to see it’s conclusion
@@andreiclaudiu1759Half an hour? If you spend 180 resin daily on average, it means 5 actions at minimum and 9 actions maximum which shouldn't take more than like 8 minutes tops. It sounds like you don't even wanna play the game, you just wanna gamble simulator.
@@erdemoztarhan6376 Half an hour it’s dailies (5-10 minutes), farming (10-15 minutes), even longer if I have to wait for world bosses to respawn, and another 10 minutes to explore, do achievements, etc. Everyone moves at their own pace and my point still stands
Honestly, since wuwa came out, I can't bring myself back to genshin... I love it, but things are just not happening towards the things i like there, if that makes sense... It was starting to get tiring, but i still do visit so i can check up on my mains or sum, cause ofc i do miss them, but the game itself...
All of these changes should have been added sooner but they didn't until on until now. Even simple changes such as mats required for characters could have been added since day one the game design for this game is horrendous and the story telling is just as bad.
Although I agree simple changes like the one you listed could’ve been made years before, I’m interested in what you mean about the storytelling, do you mind elaborating?
@@SirEpicTM I've always had a problem with the game's earlier story telling though it has gotten better recently but it is still an undeniable problem that needs improving. This is all my opinion but hear me out. One of the problems that players always have is the story has a "show don't tell" problem. A major example of this is Paimon a major character that always tells you what's going on and it's always Paimon talking instead of the main protagonist of the story. Some have excused this as Paimon simplifying the story for us in a digestible way but she has done this way too often for a lot of players liking! (But I'm glad they toned it down later on) The game constantly tells us the story without showing and I have an issue with that because of its bloated and stupidly long dialogue that drags on way too long because of Paimon. Another issue that I have is the pacing and Inazuma is an example of this it sucked for me and the pacing sucked even harder. It comes off as rushed to me and nonsensical and I keep asking questions on why should I care and why certain characters didn't do this and that the whole "war arc" made Kokomi look like an incompetent leader I didn't care for Teppei because they didn't give more reasons for me to give a damn about him or why his death is important I don't remember if his death made any significant impact on the story but that's just me. What's even crazier is that the artifact's lore told a better story than the majority of the actual game itself. This is all my opinion I hope you understand.
To be honest, I’ve been choosing love and deep space over genshin since its release .You’re guaranteed one pull every time you log on, there’s no energy cap, it keeps count for you on the gacha pool to see how many pulls you need for a guarantee. After seeing this video, I might come back though…I’m just worried about the burnt out from all the grind. Love the characters, hate the shipping, enjoyed the lore.
Has any live service game not lost on average players over the years? Genshin had a huge Hype at the beginning and it's wearing off, there is almost nothing they can do about it. Except "massive changes" that will annoy other players causing them to leave.
That’s very true! This video was more of an investigation as many complaints over the years have insinuated that if certain QoL updates were given to the game, a certain player, or player base would return/prevented from leaving, whereas what I’ve shown in the video seems to contradict that theory but also it’s impossible to fully know how much other “competing” titles have against the game itself
this reminds me of hi3, except that it never had huge hype they tried to take on a gamble (part 2) which didn't really get them any new players and the old players just got disappointed and now the game is kinda at its lowest
people are leaving cause gameplay is still the same. and seeing that mount will be tied to specific characters is ridiculous. character designs are unappealing specially the new characters.
They do add tons of story, exploration and TCG content, after taking a hiatus those are definitely the things to count on the devs to have a ton of work into when coming back!
I’ve personally been really disappointed with their banners. Going over 10 months releasing only new female 5stars. They teased few male characters on Nathan teaser but it has started to feel like Genshin turned into Honkai Impact. Like the devs have stopped trying to make the game interesting for a wider range of players and just go the pretty women route because that’s safe and easy. A new Neuvillette would sell just as well and give at least some equality in the cast. -Cue the inevitable “go play otome games you dumb girl. Waifus forever, they are the ones that sell.” comment.- 😅
Other games in the franchise are giving so much more love, care and attention compared to genshin, the rewards we get are abysmal and the amount of time needed to get a few primos feel like it sucks the actual life out of me. i still like the game but man the other games feel so much more rewarding compared to genshin..
Those change are implemented far to late for genshin to recover. This is what you get when dev team doesn't give a f*ck about people who are playing it.
Thanks for watching! More unique content on its way!

It's a bit sad that other gacha games had to be created for Genshin to finally add some QoL features.
And now they're paying the price for it.
