Maybe he thought if he can sleep Ed, he’d have a turn to cycle his Maid (maybe he was close to soul burn), and then with the revive he could’ve done enough damage in time. It’s not like the guy was waiting until the very last second before picking an attack.
he got pretty close tho... i let them play out sometimes just in case i over/underestimate. plus (to me at least) that was the most interesting match b/c it built a bit of tension. everyone else got steamrolled lol

Some people who are capable of building closer to 300 speed or close to 300 speed like it because of the interaction with his s3 and s2 So what can happen is: Closer s3's --> pushes the entire team plus himself --> other units cleave and hopefully bring someone down enough to trigger his passive ---> closer gets another turn [at this point just by himself he would be 70% on the cr bar and will have perception and his attack buff] and can use his hard hitting upgraded s1 to finish someone off. It will take some RNG to kill closer because his s3 will also give him evasion, which means he is protected from being one shotted before he takes his turn. I myself don't really reccomend this kind of closer charles unless you have really insane gear, but some people can pull it off to great success. Also you can trick people since a lot of people don't expect closer to be that fast.
