All I can say is, if the Pass was supposed to be a simpler and lower-effort project from a B-team, then the A-team better make the Switch 2 Mario Kart look GORGEOUS.
I doubt there was an A team or a B team, they simply didn't put effort on the conceptual design of these remakes because extra dlc content isn't really put to the same standard, and they preffered quantity over quality
@@babel_UV I'd agree if not for the original DLC from 8. Yes, there were less tracks there, but they were still created from the ground up and were base game quality. From what I can see, the Pass served two purposes: - To archive the tracks from Tour for when Tour eventually goes away (Pipeline WILL return I'm sure of it) - To tide players over with some bonus content that took less time to create compared to creating it all from scratch, while they wait for the Switch 2 Mario Kart to be completed.
@@real_abender it could still be the main team, but also that team might have had changes since it's been 10 years since they wrapped up mario kart 8 with the dlc, and they definetly spent remaining ideas they had for the base game. It's a concept issue why the new courses are more plain, not really a ability issue. They just ported the tracks from tour and sprouced them up a little
considering how long it’s been, i’m expecting a lot from MK9. great visuals with a striking art style, expressive animations, and an expansive track lineup.
yeah I can't edit the track itself for wifi safety unfortunately, though the concept of reforged is rather "look at what bcp could have achieved visually with the track as it is in the dlc", but i agree it would have been funnier to have some antigrav sections in the track
What about making a 2nd non wifi safe version? So you could do things like add the electrical pipes back in koopa cape or add an antigravity to this track?
That's Mario Kart 8 beauty right there, I really love the hills in the background as they make me think that is how the first world of Super Mario Bros would look like in 3D.
Mario Circuit 3 if Nintendo had locked in earlier in the BCP: This looks really good! I love how at some angles, the sunset makes the sky the classic yellow.
Gotta say, this is a MUCH better reimagine of this course. I respect what the original booster course pass was going for, but compared to Donut Plains 3, Bowser's Castle 3, and SNES Rainbow Road, this fits perfectly with them.
I really love that this isn't just putting MC3 into a Donut Plains 3-like environment! If I had to nitpick anything, I think the starting banner should've been kept as the original blocky design.
@RmoritaXD I agree. Nintendo could have at least added some texture to the hills and trees. The only few things about this track that stand out to me are that it is slightly longer than SNES Mario Circuit 2 and it has a couple of decorations in the background. But the decor is too minimal. If this is meant to be the successor of SNES Mario Circuit 2, then Nintendo should have included more decor and at least a gliding feature on the off-road portion to give it more personality
Wow that looks very nice Idk why, but i love that 8-bit mario at the beginning Just gives mc3 that extra charm it needed alongside the visual revamp Another win to your ongoing win streak 👍🏼
I was impressed by the other tracks so far, but this one genuinely floored me. This and shroom ridge are both incredible improvements over what we got in the BCP. Excellent work!
Oh. My. Freaking. God. Words simply cannot describe how amazing this remake truly is. Even the music feeling more Jazzy is awesome. This remake is genuinely a masterpiece to put it lightly.
Dudeeeee! It’s got such a modern feel while keeping what’s special about the original! I love all of the details in the background, all of the hills and cliffs, the way you created the classic Mariokart trees, and so much more. This is exactly what I would want out of Nintendo, but you, a single creator did miles better than a professional company. Keep up the outstanding work. Can’t wait for coconut mall no matter how long it takes ❤
Its so crazy how actually having things to look at can completely change how a track feels. You did an Zamazing job on this! love the 8 bit mario statue!
I am SNES Mario Circuit 3's biggest hater, perhaps. I used to play a lot of Mario Kart Tour, so when this course was added to 8DX I kneeeeeew, there were better, more exciting courses from Tour at the same time. Ones that still never got in! It baffles me that a SNES track that was left flat, was added into 8DX, when courses like Luigi's Mansion, Airship Fortress, or even the original course Piranha Plant Pipeline; were passed over. And because of that, I'm all the more pleasantly shocked, that this modification makes SNES Mario Circuit 3 look GOOD. It looks actually worthwhile, this is gorgeous! AND the actual track seems unchanged, it's still flat, and yet it looks like something FUN to drive here! Wow. I really look forward to seeing where these reforges go if it can make me like THIS track!
You literally took the Worst track in the DLC, and fixed EVERYTHING what it was wrong with it ✨️ ☆ Excelent Job dude! I loved the Mario 8-Bit Amiibo Reference👍🏼
Wow! One of the best works I've ever seen! No kidding, it's beautiful and detailed, this is as if Nintendo has put more love into the development, good job!
Amazing how much more interesting a flat track can be when the background has some actual depth and details instead of just using a "grass texture" that looks like toxic sludge
The Booster Pack DLCs were pretty solid all around but man were the SNES MK karts just lacking visually and music-wise. The marriage between the SNES MK instruments and the MK8D instruments is amazing and I love that more moderns jazzy kick, and the visuals just feel fuller as well. The sunset does a great job not only making things visually appealing but is a great nod to the original course, and the surrounding of Donut Plains like mountains with the Toad houses on top and the large NES Mario sprite is also an amazing touch too!! Just makes the world feel more lived in and wholee Amazin jobb
Nice reforge! It looks very pretty and outstanding. Mario circuit 3 in BCP is really funny to me since 8DX has a SNES circuit theme with battle course 1 but goes with the tour look in BCP...
And that's how SNES Mario Circuit 3 should have been in the first place, apart from the music also needed a new facelift and not do the same as they did with the OST of New Super Mario Bros 2, of using the same OST of NSMBWii and only making minor arrangements that are not even heard
😂 exactly they should be jealous that modders do what Nintendo don’t do but I kinda hate how they rushed it out the first two wave then slowly improved over time and it felt especially like tour where they rushed a few things out which was embarrassing enough
I also love how the characters shadow reflects RIGHT, cause in other fan tracks, ilumination is... wonky (No offense to modders, u also do a great job!)
I'm surprised SNES Mario Circuit 3 wasn't the first track you reforged since that track is the most simple track in the Booster Pass, but as always yours looks so much better.
Just found out about this project. Gorgeous efforts just like the original tracks and good attention to detail in textures instead of solid colors. I hope you can eventually redo all the BCP tracks but if you can’t I understand. Great job so far!
Funny fact, SNES Mario Circuit 3 in MK8DX is the only track in the entire game to not have anti-gravity, gliding, underwater sections, or any ramps to do stunts.
I give special props for the 3D 8-Bit Mario statue, the hills having the Super Mario Bros. ground texture and the lighting overall. There is neither Anti-Gravity or other uniqueness compared to other Mario Circuits that justified it's addition to the Booster Course Pass but all your additions not only feel like the Vanilla style, but those extras distract from how plain boring the track actually is.
All I can say is, if the Pass was supposed to be a simpler and lower-effort project from a B-team, then the A-team better make the Switch 2 Mario Kart look GORGEOUS.

Even though the course remains flat, graphically is a fantastic improvement!

@BCPReforged I like the new background. It makes it look more Mario Kart 8ish how it should be!!!!!
What about making a 2nd non wifi safe version? So you could do things like add the electrical pipes back in koopa cape or add an antigravity to this track?
This is laughably better than the crap that we got in the Booster Course Pass. Just insane work!
Yeah, when the Switch 2 releases, imma download magic and replace the SHIT nintendo gave us.
Nintendo: "We hate mods because they infringe Copyright."
Copyright my ass!
Fans do what Nintendon't!
The sunset and added landscape just makes it so much better.
This straight up looks like a DLC Track from the _original_ Mario Kart 8. Amazing!
That's Mario Kart 8 beauty right there, I really love the hills in the background as they make me think that is how the first world of Super Mario Bros would look like in 3D.

this looks so much more full of life, like you’re actually somewhere in the mushroom kingdom. so good!
THE MUSIC TOO ? ? This is so cool. Keep it up dude, or whatever you go by
The music is by Paulygon, by the way. I’m unsure why there seems to be no credit given (unless there is and I just missed it).
Well yes, he did. It’s in the description
@@BayExtra Yes, credit seems to have been added. Excellent.
THIS is how SNES Mario Circuit 3 is supposed to look!
Yeah, SNES circuit 2 on 3ds has more efford than the dlc of 8

I love how in terms of gameplay, nothing changed at all, but this beautiful decor alone makes this track so much better !
The work you do is astonishing. Incredible seeing fan tracks look the same quality as the BASE game tracks.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! YEAH BABY !!!!
That’s what we’re talking about ! That’s the Perfect clash between modern and rétro !
Amazing job !!! You are probably the best Mario kart 8 modder I’ve ever seen.
Now this is a real Mario Kart track. Absolutely stunning, as well as the soundtrack.

the transformation from a near lifeless expanse to a fun, full of life, go-kart track is fucking amazing
this would go hard as a real life attraction
This looks AMAZING! I can't wait to see how you do the rest of the BCP!
this is a masterpiece! (also rob is in this so that alone made this one of the best mods ever for me)

Its so crazy how actually having things to look at can completely change how a track feels. You did an Zamazing job on this! love the 8 bit mario statue!
WTF THIS IS SO GOOD, how did you yall manage to make such a basic track filled with so much personality and charm???

I really thought it was impossible to make this track look or sound good. Yet, you proved me wrong, you son of a gun. This is PEAK! 🔥
Looks way better than the version we got in the BCP. Wished Nintendo put this level of effort into the BCP's visuals from the start.
What a pleasant surprise!
I can’t believe a fan made is FAR superior to the official product 💀
The hills look amazing !

WOAH! TH-cam recommendations got me there, THAT'S AWESOME-looking!
I do have a question, on 1:00 is there collision on that little mountain? When I'm behind I like to throw bombs to the other side of the track

whoa!
so retro
I love the idea, but really don't like that the Mario statue casts such a large shadow over a drivable section of the course.
