well from 1:33 --> 1:34 you can see that they made a cut and calibrated the guardian already, so i guess thats why it just takes a couple of sec to calibrate the thing?
You can clean it with their cleaning kit or take some 1500 grit sand paper and wet sand it until you see just a small amount of the carbon start to come off.
There is no calibrating function for EC on this meter. Bluelab has a 2.77 conductivity solution in which you can test to make sure the probe is dialed in. Regular cleaning and checking the probe once a week is best.

what happens when your ppm readings feel way off? can the ppm probe be recalibrated? or can you only clean it?

When i press calibrate it flashes 4/10 ph and then once i get 0000 it says ERR
