My strategy (I usually play 4s with my friends)
I get 28 iron, get pick and axe and 32 blocks
My friend get 28 iron, buys shears and start bridging to base
Everyone throw gold to 3rd person, buys iron armour and stone sword, become tanker
4th person stays at base to do a 2 layer bed defense and have extra iron to buy fireballs and blocks in case other people rush us
After the defense is complete, 4th person help clean the team we rushed, and went to the next base beside the dead base, basically doing a circle

i do 2 tankers, one resource collecter and 1 rusher

My strat in solos Is mainly rush and a little defense. With doubles, I rush hard no defense unless I really need too. My teammate plays all D (He sucks at pvp). I always get emeralds to get potions off the bat. So I can beat the later game defenses. I hope you understand.

I never used the first or the third. Maybe the first a little bit but I realized bed defense is important cuz several times I got destroyed if my bed defense wasn't decent. So you could say I use the 2nd almost 99.9% of the time.
The fact is if you are good at the game.

If I'm playing on a team than I play as a mix of aggressive and just camping but if I'm solo than it's all camping because I suck at Minecraft. Here's a fun story from yesterday when I played Treasure Wars (just Bed Wars but with a treasure instead of a bed and things are just a little bit different) for the first time on The Hive.
It was supposed to be Duos but there wasn't enough people and I was the only person without a teammate so I did what any normal person would do. I rushed to the middle and got emeralds and as soon as I saw another person coming to the middle I left to my base. I got a lot of gold and built a defense consisting of two layers of bullet-proof glass, two layers of wool, two layers of wood, two layers of concrete, two layers of andesite and two layers of end stone in that order, I also got a diamond sword and chain armor just to be safe but for some reason no one came to me. At this point it was just me and this other team. I thought that I could run and break their treasure and run back to my base. I sprinted over there and because I'm a parkour pro, I totally did not fall into the void and have to spend another few minutes to get five more emeralds to get a diamond sword. Anyways, I got their treasure since surprisingly they had one layer of wool. One of them saw me and started chasing me so I sprinted back. Their other teammate saw me and started chasing me as well. I made it across the map to my base and basically started running in circles around the map with one of them chasing me and the other trying to get through my defense. After they got through my andesite they left the game, I don't know if it's because they gave up, if they have bad internet or if it's something else entirely. The last person stopped chasing me and went to get my treasure and I kinda just watched because I didn't want to die to them but when they made it through my first layer of wool they left and again, I don't know if it's because they gave up, bad internet or something else. I won the game though.
Mid strat for me : endstone wood wool and then mainly diamonds after the first rush. Get mining fatigue trap prot and sharp as i go to other teams... works great

It comes down to your skillset. Today I played bedwars for the first time in a few months and i figured out its easiest for me to play defensivly and then attack the last guy at the end

I feel like rushing because I use to stay at my base and I lost every game. But when i started to rush I got like 100 kills and win almost every time. But I think it was just my confidence helping me.
1: Protect your bed PROPERLY, not with one layer of wool.
2:Get some prot and sharpness for sword and armor, and change your armor to iron or diamond if possible, and get a iron sword.
3:Buy too much tnt. Youll always run out.
4:rush em.
Strat 4: The Zyph strat. first, do a normal rush with tnt. Second, Bridge to middle to collect 8 diamonds, to then buy obsidian. Third, buy a kb stick, and camp mid yet again for 12 more emeralds to buy a punch bow and diamond armor. Fourth, eliminate any other team other than the most stacked one, in which you then prot 4 rush and get 2 invis pots and an enderpearl. Fifth and final, rush that last team, and its an EZ win as you can punch bow the final player to death. Bam, officially the best strat of all time. Unless someone breaks your bed on the second step, in which you just have to try to kb stick abuse to try and clutch. Its like a 20% chance you would be able to clutch the game.

i had an idea for bedwars (defend your island with obsidian and dig under and bridge under your island)
2 is good because you can eliminate some people and keep your bed and get a little stacked where they 1 you can easily lose your bed and die and 3 when you are getting stacked at mid u can get rushed and get fireballed off
Can you do one that's 4v4v4v4 or 3v3v3v3 I feel like solos and duos bedwars is a different game.

I'm personally a camper since I am terrible at pvp, and I feel better knowing that if I die my bed defense + mining fatigue will help me. Usually I will try and hide out untill the final player is left, and I wait for them to come to me. If they don't have a bed, I kill them and win. If they do, I will kill them and immediately go for them.
Camping isn't the most honorable strategy, but it works.

Wdym? Like he can look around in F5 without his characters head moving? That's called free-look / perspective.
You can use a client to use the mod. I recommend lunar client. To enable the mod on lunar just type "Free look" in the search and you should find it.

What I always do in Bed Wars is just get stacked and camp and wait until everyone else kills each other and then kill the 1 or 2 team that are left at the end.
1:protect the bed properly.
2:bridge and buy armor with prot.
3:buy 4 stacks of blocks.
4:buy fireballs and rush em.
