This is Thai dress, please wear Sampot.
Stop being so annoying Siam. Do you hear her calling it Sampot? This is Khmer Sampot. What you are thinking of is called " Chong kben". Another type of Khmer traditional dress. Our ancestors wore this way before your ancestors copied it and claimed it to be yours. Thai dress is different. The pleats are sewn onto the dress not hand pleaded like this. Make sure your mind isn't blind. I know your culture likes to name everything Thai, like Thai basil ,Thai chillies, Thai fish sauces while these are used or available all over Asia. But your time and list must have boundaries for you do not own everything in Asia. Remember that you are culture from China. And what you have today is all thanks to the Khmer Empire. So yah don't become such an annoying culture.
This is sompot (khmer sompot) not Thai dress
@@kimtaekookie4591 Sampot wear with chongkraben or skirt and sampot have sleeves so please don't make confusion. Cambodia wear a lot of Thai dress pattern but it's not your culture. and don't make any cement sculpture to claim Thai.
@@tatcha3801 ahemmm trying to teach us khmer our own language? Everything we Khmers women wear over our lower body is called sampot for your information. And there is sompot Chong kben the one you are talking about , sompot bot ( the one you fold to one side), and there is sompot cholabap which is the one in the video. All different styles and ways khmer people wear. And don’t tell me the textile patterns of Thai silk is the same as Khmer. Go take a sample and compare them with open eyes and even better open mind you will be astonished on how different they are.
@@babyhummingbird111 open your eyes or see Sampot at Cambodia museum. Most of dresses in Cambodia were import from Pahurat Thailand. Many Cambodian designers came to Thailand and bought fabrics. Including the Cambodian beauty pageant buying fabrics in Thailand. How can it not be the same pattern? when produced from the same place And I'm talking about the cutting pattern, not the fabric pattern.
