@ 01:33 In my opinion, L = m . (1/2 . wavelength) is the more intuitive version for this equation. All allowed modes of EM-radiation in a cavity L are multiples of half their wavelength. @ 26:01 He meant to say: "where amplification A exceeds the losses L." Thus, gain G = A - L.
wow i was almost gonna pass up this vid because i see an indian and i never could understand what they say or the way they teaching using too many formulas, i want to commend you sir for speaking in clear english voice and using laymen term to explain this stuff that im finally starting to understand a bit, still a bit confusing about modes and nodes or the different TEM but very good so far and i hope you doing more vids like this
This lecture series is quite good and mostly covering all the important points about the lasers. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Best laser class ever take!

Excellent lecture, only complaint is that there was no explanation regarding how the transverse modes are generated
Awesome sir
I would like to think you for the good lectures Sir!!!
Thank you, very good explanation!
A.oa plz explain clearly about TEM pq i realy dnt understand about pq
standing waves results from two identical waves (destructive interference) so , why and how he described that as constructive interference>>>???
sir, your lectures helps me a lot. Thank you very much.
Very good class.... understood well
Thanx ! Outstanding lecture series.
Thank you sir 😊 very helpful✌
Amazing lectures Sir!
thanks professor
Thank you!
In this lecture Prof. said that he will share some notes on Transverse mode, has anyone got that?
Thank you
How to write mode for doungth shaped profile?
Thank you sir
Sir Plz let me know the proper book for this topic to learn seriously of MSc standard.
Lasers by Anthony E Siegman.
superb!!!
