    I don't think Minato was from a country other than the Land of Fire. He believes in the Will of Fire, and at just 6 years old, he wished to become Hokage to protect and serve the village. He was willing to die for his country and village. He also said, 'We are a shinobi family' when sealing Kurama into Naruto. So, it wouldn't be wrong to assume that his family (parents) were shinobi too. We know that Konoha is the only shinobi village in the Land of Fire, so he couldn’t be from both the Land of Fire and another shinobi village at the same time. The Land of Fire is very large to be protected by just one small village, which is why I think there might be small shinobi villages connected to Konoha as 'sub-villages,' and Minato could be from one of them located on the coast. Although this was never mentioned (and we know only a small bit of Naruto’s world, so it’s not a problem), it could explain the absurd number of shinobi in the Fourth Great Ninja War compared to the size of the villages. There could be many sub-villages spread far apart across the country. I think there’s nothing that invalidates my theory.

    • @riluna3695
      @riluna3695 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      A lot of your argument depends on the idea that it isn't possible for a child adopted by another country at the age of six to fall in love with that country, support their ways, and consider himself family with them, and that just....is simply not true.
      Nothing I'm aware of proves Nick's theory as definitively true or your replacement theory as definitively false, but this argument against the Land of Rivers idea just doesn't hold water, so I would say it stands as a valid suggestion with a lot of supporting evidence.

    • @ijya6413
      @ijya6413 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And alot of ur ideas are based on treating Minato as a normal konoha guy. Minato was Itachi before Itachi became Itachi. Also if he was from another village, he took will be politically and socially outcast like Kushina. Kushina couldn't became hokage because one of reason she was from another village. The best theory is namikaze were just senju whose woman married a no name clan like namikaze. @@riluna3695

    • @togo389
      @togo389 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@riluna3695 I didn’t say it’s impossible, just unlikely. Sure, it could be as you mentioned, and there isn’t any direct evidence to support my theory. But hey, it’s just a theory! I’m having fun and letting my imagination run wild. I think it makes sense and helps solve another story problem at the same time. That said, I do believe it’s very unlikely to be correct, since nothing in the original Naruto series directly supports my idea. However, if there are any remakes in the future (which I hope for) to fix the inconsistencies in the original story, or if the story in Boruto develops further, it could potentially align this way. Thanks for your comment!

    Please do a video talking about the possibility that there are more continents in the Naruto world. This may imply that the main villages where the Naruto story takes place in represents Asia in the real world.
    This may also talk about why Minato is blonde and the hidden cloud ninja may have come from the African equivalent of the ninjas. This would be really cool and may pave way for a lot of world building.

The hidden cloud might just be the Cambodians of the Naruto verse, but they certainly aren't African looking.

    Minato's name is probly a reference to the same trope that is in a lot of anime, which is based on actual historically based legends of orphan white kids in Japan due to soldier who died while their family was there cuz they were stationed in japan... this is the same legends you see hinted at in street fighter, loosely dbz, mha, demon slayer... literally all over the place where you have a character who is a white kid living in Japan, and is undisciplined but has a hidden power due to this wild side... naruto and street fighter being the best examples I can currently think of... sasuke is far more disciplined and knows more techniques, but naruto has a hidden power that comes out with anger, and in street fighter Ryu is more disciplined and truly lives a life searching for strength and tranquility, while Ken is brash and fights with a rage that ignites his fists, Ken later finds out who his parents were and inherits a large business and moves back to America, and the discipline he learned in Japan helps him make that business even more successful... so it would make sense that Minato Namikaze would mean ocean port child, cuz he is an orphan of soldier from another land who stationed at the port temporarily.

    I'd also add the idea maybe as strong as kamikaze clan was what made them difficult to attack them and win is that they have a geological advantage since they are familiar with the region especially if you consider the fact in the real world alot of countries near the coast line or a large body of water within the territories like rivers etc... it's easy to predict the attacks from the water so they could focus the surrounding areas. Any nation stacking knows this so it makes it more about the strategy than the power itself. And thus can also open the door for more conversations into the kamikaze clan and their battles

    I recently realized something interesting about Naruto.
    It's confirmed that Naruto has more chakra than Kurama, as he survived Baryon Mode while Kurama didn’t. This could be due to his Uzumaki heritage, but no known Uzumaki comes close to Naruto or Kurama’s chakra reserves.
    When Minato sealed half of Kurama inside Naruto, Kushina questioned why he didn’t seal all of Kurama with the Reaper Death Seal. Since the jutsu works as a chakra tug-of-war-where the user needs more chakra than their target to win-this suggests Minato had chakra at least equal to half of Kurama’s, if not more.
    Now, if Minato had that much chakra, and we go off of nick's theory about the namikaze, that would explain how a small village like tanigakure could stand against Konoha, the strongest village. It also explains Naruto’s immense chakra, as he inherited traits from both the Uzumaki and this potentially powerful lineage.

    it happened with the uzumakis, it happened with tanigakure and it happened with amegakure.
    it almost seems like konoha is the bad guy in naruto history.

    My "Danzo and the elders' involvement" sense is tingling.
    What if konoha was secretly behind the attack on Tanegakure?
    What better time to eradicate a power capable of waring with the leaf than after a ceasefire and their guard is down?
    Maybe konoha was the instigator for that attack. They'd only need to send a few elite ninja to give Kaguro village some information and possibly participate in the massacre to ensure the total wipe of this powerful clan and village

    Ok, so here are my fun thoughts to throw around:
    Tobirama died at the conclusion of the 1st great ninja war. Hiruzen became the 3rd Hokage with Danzo acting as the shadow hokage.
    Danzo was likely as enamored by the dream of the 1st Hokage and the more pragmatic approach by the 2nd Hokage. Thus, either Konoha needed to absorb and mix with powerful clans or those clans must be considered a threat.
    In this scenario, Danzo, not taking chances, would pull strings to eliminate the two most powerful clans before they could become an issue and while their guard was down: The Uzumaki and Namikaze clan weeks after the ceasefire was signed and they were least alert.
    He did this to the powerful clans nearby so they couldn't immediately take advantage of when the Uchiha Clan would inevitably need to be dealt with, but would at least keep the two kids alive for their usefulness and value of their genes, since Hiruzen was seen as such an inspiring Hokage.
    Danzo will have "done what must be done for the sake of the village" and Hiruzen would likely have been either unaware or unable to act due to the elders favoring Danzo's goals of "strengthening" the Leaf. He would only be able to strip Danzo of his root authority after the Uchiha massacre, since that was against a major clan within the village. However, Danzo was still given favor due to the knowledge that a coup was prevented.
    As per usual, I believe Danzo would be the primary driving force, desperately misinterpreting the intentions of the 1st and 2nd Hokage and finding Hiruzen too soft to actualize the dream.

      You do realize that both the manga and anime stated that the first Hokage captured all the tailed beast and gave them to the other villages, right. And let’s say that the Uzumaki did have all 9 tailed beasts, there is no way that if even if all the Great Villages, with the exception of the Leaf, teamed up they would have won. And even if I went further and gave you that those villages won, it would take several decades for them to regain their military forces and economy, which would led to the smaller villages challenging them as they would be much weaker.

He admired the 2nd so much he wanted to copy his jutsu and used Kushina's fuin jutsu knowledge to do so as a teenager.

    Devil's Advocate, I'll shoot an alternative that is probably less fun using similar logic.
    With a name like "Port Wavewind," the very first thing that comes to mind for me would be sailors. But not like a clan, that sounds like an occupation, like how most people named Smith aren't related they're just descendants of blacksmiths. If Minato was the son of a sailor and they recognized that he had a real talent for chakra control, they might have sent him off to Konoha just to give him a better life. In fact, given the nature of the war, it's entirely possible that Minato was an orphan who had parents in the war (even if he was born after the war, we know there was unease and bloodshed between countries for all sorts of reasons). Minato could have easily been an orphan working on a sailboat to survive, so they gave him an appropriate name and then eventually realized he was better suited to life as a Shinobi. Or hell, given Jiraya's pension for adopting orphans that might become children of prophecy, maybe Jiraya noticed Minato's latent abilities in his travels and urged his caretakers to send him to Konoha. Obviously, I have no idea what the truth is, but with a name like "Port Wavewind," ocean or coastal life makes so much more sense than river life.
    (Partial aside: If both Minato and Kushina were from clans that were destroyed after they were sent to the Leaf, then making them the Hokage and Jinchuriki would be woefully irresponsible. "Sure, let's take two people who are not native to our village, each instead from a village we failed to even try to protect, and let's make them the two most powerful people in the village. What could possibly go wrong?" If this narrative were true, both of Naruto's parents would have been foreigners with active reasons to hold grudges against the village they were put in charge of. Something tells me Danzo and the elders wouldn't have been keen on that.)

    I like this theory but have 2 different ideas from my personal head cannon
    1. If we go with your theory I would say Danzo orchestrated the slaughter of the village you mentioned

  • @kaychan7242
    @kaychan7242 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Only hole i can really see with your theory is a smaller village doesnt need to be on par with a larger village to have a ceasefire. It could have been that Konoha was scouting the the land of wind and the sand village but because the shortest route is through the Land of Rivers. Konoha may have been ambushed a few times by teams of shinobi that knew the area better so their were territorial skirmishes going on. While not strong enough to fight Konoha directly they had enough power to be an annoyance. So you would set up a ceasefire to say "Hey we are not going through your land to attack you, please dont attack us and set up some rules and resources up so they can go through the land without hinderance".
    US and Canada had many ceasefire agreements with Native Tribes as they moved west.... before they took their land and moved them on to reservations. Does mean the natives were as strong as the countrys military.

    Another bit of corroborative history to support Minato being sent to Konoha after the conflict, when allying or suing for peace with larger powers, it was not uncommon in the past for members of the ruling/noble families to be sent to the other as a way to ensure compliance with the terms. Aka, if you disobey, you aren't gonna have a kid/sibling anymore sort of deal.
    I could absolutely see Konoha doing this, especially since Kushina went through a seemingly similar arrangement.
    Also with regard to the war, what I believe happened was that after the 1st shinobi world war,, the great nations were weakened, and many took a while to get power back. This would be an excellent time for a smaller, uninvolved country to try and obtain more land by conquest. I imagine numerous small wars like this broke out with the other small nations and larger villages, and we just don't hear about these lesser wars. Tanikgakure wasn't gonna take land from the sand, so they fought thr leaf now that they were weakened.
    Eventually the fighting, while fierce at first, did eventually lean toward Konoha, and with their own losses to consider, Tanigakure sued for a ceasefire, and part of those terms were they had to send over "collateral" from the ruling families or clans.
    After the ceasefire, another power took advantage of a weakened Tanigakure and wiped them out for their land

    Tbh I think minato was a senju for various reasons. His genes are ridiculously strong. Minato managed to override uzumaki genes with naruto and also override hyuga genes with boruto. The only bloodlines this capable are either uchiha or senju. Plus it makes more sense for the reincarnation of asura to pick him as he has always appeared in senju before. Also he has talent in space ninjutsu and senjutsu which the senju brothers were famous for. Plus his talent really looks like another senju tobirama minus the forbidden jutsu. But who knows what he would’ve accomplished if he hadn’t died young and also had a clan supporting him. So I think all evidence points to him being senju, or part senju. Maybe that’s also why he fell in love with kushina at first sight. Senju and uzumaki marriages are a thing, they even had a close alliance

    Hey Nick can I raise you’re interest on the uzumaki clan, Boruto, the joagan and shibai. See I believe that shibai might have had children with one of the nomikaze women and therefore the joagan was either passed down to the following generations so that is why Boruto got the joagan! I also think that sometime during the first shinobby Great War one of shibais descendants used the joagan to separate him from his body and trapping him in a distant dimension as you may know the joagan not only has the power to sense darkness but it may hold the secret to how that power could’ve been used to separate shibai from his body and locking him up in another dimension. Also the joagan has the power to be able to detect other dimensions so therefore it explains how it could lock up shibai in a secret dimension! I think Amado is shibai without his power or true soul! So Amado doesn’t know that Boruto has the joagan and therefore it explains the reason why he would order him get killed via hallogram of ishiki to code! I think Amado or rather shibai needs the joagan to open the dimension where his soul is trapped and bring back his powers and erase the threat of ever being trapped again once he gets his powers back therefore would conclude in the finale battle of Boruto would be between Amado or shibai if you will, and Boruto! Let me know what you think? Thanks

    One possibility you missed is that maybe Minato was sent to Konoha as part of the peace deal, in the past it wasn't uncommon for peace deals to involve a leader sending a son to be raised in the nation of the other party. As for the destruction of Tanigakure, I remember seeing a video about it being implied that Omnipotence had been used to make everyone think it was Iwa, Kumo, Suna, and Kiri that wiped out Uzushiogakure, it theorized that it had actually been done by the Ōtsutsuki to prevent the birth of ether Naruto or Boruto, so maybe the same could have happened to Tanigakure.

    Just because two countries sign a peace treaty or pact doesn’t mean they were ever at war. It’s a symbol of friendship and cooperation as much as it is an agreement to end hostilities.
    Basing half a theory on this small village going to war with the hidden leaf just because they signed a peace agreement doesn’t make for a solid foundation.

  • @raducora7159
    @raducora7159 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    This theory makes sense only up to a point. What does not make sense at all is how Tanigakure was somehow evenly matched with Konoha, yet the truce they signed has put them in such a bad and vulnerable position. Because the position they were in only suggests they were in fact quite unevenly matched. The much more plausible reasons for the truce might be:
    - Tanigakure offering a sort of tribute in exchange for peace - this might even include the migration of kids with potential, like Minato
    - Other big countries pressuring Konoha into easing the aggression, particularly the Land of Wind - there are other instances that show them wanting to avoid having conflicts near their border, particularly when the lands of Fire and Earth were about to clash.
    - The threat of an invasion from elsewhere if Konoha were to dedicate too many resources to this smaller war - particularly the Land of Lightning with their aggressive Raikages
    All these kinds of truces happened a lot throughout our own human history between very uneven countries. If Tanigakure and Konoha were more evenly matched, so would have been their truce.
    While this would indeed explain the existence of a clan named Namikaze, it would also mean they were not actually THAT powerful, especially not on par with major forces like the Senju, Uchiha or Uzumaki. The 2 weeks span is waaaay too short for any sort of demilitarization, and the seniors of the Namikaze clan would not just forget how to fight and defend their village when attacked by such an obscure enemy.
    Finally, Minato NOT coming from from a clan with any special genes or features makes the whole verse better, as it gives a very strong example that exceptional talent CAN be born outside a few exclusive bloodlines.
