For me, personally, as one who is in pain this is yet another gift from God. Jesus allows me to understand better when He say's "take up your cross and follow me." I have more than one cross to pick up. I carry crosses for my loved one's and for the world. I offer up my prayers for these intentions of good. The one that get's so much of my attention though, as it refuses to be ignored, is my chronic suffering from pain mostly caused in my case by spinal and spinal cord injury.Jesus provides me, a sufferer, a blessed purpose and a tangible grace from my suffering. I don't know the supernatural specifics, I just know that it is true. I am continually encouraged to offer up for non-believers.
Why does God let us suffer? The higher power provided us with all the necessary things to survive. Tree's for oxygen, food for nutrition (enough food to last us forever.( Everything that's not men made) , the sun, the moon , the star's etc... BUT most importantly we were given FREE WILL. Unfortunately with the help of the devil and man's own selfishness we made this life so hard ..misusing our free will by destroying our own world (natural environment) and giving authority to the 'RULER'S OF THE WORLD' the one's that create the law and control everything. If you wanna blame anyone for this suffering, its the devil and his worshipers. THE RICH DEVIL'S THAT RUN THE WORLD BEHIND CLOSED DOOR'S. why put money on unlimited food? why destroy the natural environment to make bloody gold necklaces and many of these useless assets? My wise friend once said 'HUMAN'S ARE THE CANCER OF THIS WORLD'. I now understand what he mean't. God bless his soul.
I have a hard time accepting my pain as a gift. I wish I could because it would make my life a lot easier. It's hard to enjoy life when I'm constantly in pain.
+Brenda LouHoo I do too. My technique is to every day before my head is off the pillow to thank God for my life. It is extra hard in the morning as this is when the pain is most intense . I hope you can get more relief than you are now. Constant chronic pain is exhausting and defeating. It will almost always cause a clinical depression. I try to just offer it to God telling him I don't understand the why but I will trust him with it. I have a positive hope that it is useful to him. It still sucks mightily.
Best video I've seen on TH-cam. Doesn't come from a televangelist out to make some money; it comes from the Bible. "If you would be my disciple, pick up your cross every day and come follow me." Many apostles suffered and died. For a follower of Christ, are we greater than the apostles? Or of Christ himself? If the world hated Christ, it's going to hate us. I thank God who comes to me at the Supper of The Lamb that is fulfilled every day at every mass at every Eucharist, and again for all eternity in Heaven.
Jesus never takes off from human suffering...He shows us how to go through the shatter of all that hurts. His heroic example leads our minds and hearts to what sanity really is.
Thanks for the good points on a deep subject. "Suffering is both a reminder and a guide. It stimulates us better to adapt ourselves to our environmental conditions, and thus leads the way to self improvement. In every suffering one can find a meaning and a wisdom. But it is not always easy to find the secret of that wisdom. It is sometimes only when all our suffering has passed that we become aware of its usefulness." - Shoghi Effendi, Baha'i Thought
Thanks Chris for being sharing the wisdom god has given you. You are truly a Saint in the making! The world needs to hear these messages! Thank you for your courage to share them! -
If I had not suffered so intensely, I probably would never have become dedicated to my Catholic Faith. The only thing that kept me from suicide was knowing the Church taught suicide is a mortal sin .
Thank you very much for making this video. I watch it whenever I'm feeling down and suffering, and wondering why God lets my suffering happen. The message is profound.
I did search for ' Why does God let us suffer? and it bought me here. Thanks be to God. Sometimes I feel that the choices I have made in life, led me to a great deal of suffering, but I know now that I was not alone and God was with me and led me back into the light.
By far the best explanation for suffering in this worlds as a Christian. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this video as a great reminder of why a loving God allows suffering as Christians. Thank you Chris!
I just stumbled across your videos and I can't tell you how uplifting it is to hear the truth of Our Lord's teachings being proclaimed so passionately, and with love. God bless you man. Please keep up the good work, and I pray Our Lord continues to bless you and guide you.
"Thus says The Holy One, your Redeemer: Beloved, My treasure, My most beloved ones, here I am! Hear Me! I am poured out like wax before the fire; like a candle, I am dripping with tears! Yet you have not come to Me! My love was poured out, My spirit fell like rain upon the nations... Tears and great mourning... I poured Myself out to heal the nations! Blood and tears, pools of blood, the agony of My passion, My love put on open display! Yet who is healed in My love? Where is the harvest among the nations, according to the latter rain? It withers, blighted wheat waning in the heat of the noonday sun, planted in the hard and cracked ground, revealing the broken roots thereof; the rains have ceased and are withheld from the land, the hand of The Holy One removed. Captive children, held fast by the pride and arrogance of men whose hearts remain far from Me, shackled to a world of bitter enmity against God and His Messiah, refusing My Letters of Love, stopping your ears to My voice... Weeping and many tears... I had set you free! Behold, I have freely given! I have not ceased from calling to you through My spirit and by the pen of My prophets, yet you will not listen, nor will you give heed! Even you, O churches of men, will in no wise hear Me, nor are you able! - Arrogant assemblies! DEAF CHILDREN! Bitter children, amiss in your dealings with Me, I love you, yet you refuse Me still In favor of your own way!... Peoples of this world, and all pastors And teachers and leaders among men, You are forsaken, given up to the fire... The fires of My own correction, The harsh discipline of The Father, The day of refinement and tears. I love you, yet you have not known Me; neither do I see of Myself in you... Our hearts torn. For I see your hearts, beloved, I see and know. Behold, I have searched, and have not found even one tittle of that which is of Me! Cry out, therefore! Call out to your Savior! Call upon your Maker in My name! DIE TO YOURSELVES! Forsake this world and run to Me through the fire, and I shall abide with you in the heat of its burning, until that which must be done is finished and you emerge purified. Humble yourselves! Cast yourselves down! I am your Father! I LOVE YOU! Yet you have departed from Me, wasting your inheritance in a world of unbridled sin, a world which even now hates you, a world which you have loved more than Me, even yourselves! And so I have written to you page after page by the pen of My prophets, shouting to you by all manner of speaking and devices, calling to you across the ages, speaking to THIS generation with many tears and much sorrow, warning you of My wrath which must come and is now here and shall quickly overtake this world. And still you push out the hand! Do you not understand?! I have seen it; nothing escapes My eye! Churches of men, I have seen it! Modern Pharisees, you fight against Me! You fight against The God of your fathers, The One and Only True God! And whatsoever you do to even one of these I have sent to you, whether in word or by deed, you have done it to Me!... Yet I love you still... My heart is torn, a rent which widens, a rent which you have made! Why do you tear yourselves from Me?! For apart from Me, you can do nothing! Apart from Me is darkness, thick darkness and death! The time has passed, beloved ones; My bride is chosen and the first election is made; the bundles are prepared and set in their places. Therefore I tell you, when you look for Me in the Day, look no more to yourselves, nor in man-made churches; behold, they shall all be torn down! For in them I have not dwelled... I dwell in the hearts of men! And when darkness has fallen and your tears well up, a bitter rain brought forth from a heart severely broken, from a spirit crushed by the weight of realization, run and seek out My beacons, My witnesses. For they shall lead you through the fire, and I shall abide with you, accompanying you on your journey... A journey of service and great hardship, of many tears and great sorrows, suffering on every side; a journey of love and hope in the midst of great adversity, the end of which shall bring a great multitude into My love, with every servant washing the feet of his neighbor until death comes and sets you free; caught up into My love, healed in an instant, refashioned in glory, remade in My image, partaking of My life fully. For as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, Bringing forth much thanksgiving To the praise of My glory... As it is written, so shall it be done... Therefore trust in My ways, For I am The King alone; Apart from Me, there is nothing at all."
I needed to hear this SO badly right now! Thank you for this beautiful video with a great reminder that God is always with us, even when everything seems so dark. This brought me to tears and reminded me how much Jesus loves me!
Mencintai Tuhan bukan di lihat dari kita orang benar dan suci, tetapi, mencintai Tuhan di lihat dari pengakuan dosa dari kesalahan kita kepada Tuhan 🙏✝️
Maybe suffering is the most beautiful gift that God can give us after Jesus himself, maybe suffering with Jesus is the most beautiful moment we can enjoy in this world.
Chris, you are absolutely incredible!! I saw you at SEEK 2013. I noticed the shirt in this video too. Keep up the great work man, you are a true inspiration to me. You have such a great way with words expressing God's love and plan for all of us. Keep up the great work, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I look forward to your next video. God Bless you!!
Wow. This is really, really well done Christopher. Great job. I'm showing this to my confirmation class on Wednesday!!!! Chad Starfeldt - Lutheran Pastor
+Dank Memes He loves you so much you do not even understand, BUT! if you don't like him he sends you to hell for eternity and watches you burn. But he loves you.
All I know is that I am really, really, really, tired of this world with all its ugliness, hate and mud slinging. Please pray that Jesus comes back soon to take his children home.
My father passed away the 2nd of January of 2022 COVID and we were not allowed to see him the entire time he was there, 26 days. What you just spoke of Chris here is what we went through the questions that I asked why? Through this I've learned empathy because this has been happening for 2 years now with COVID, the nursing homes, the hospitals. It just breaks my heart. Every day I hear words either from God or someone I speak with that at times comfort me. This is not easy but you are right, Jesus did go through what my dad went through. I imagine there were many conversations between Jesus and my dad. Much alone time. I miss my father. But I thank God for my dad's healing, in heaven, and I look forward to when I can hug him again.
A good image for me of perseverance through suffering (besides that of our Lord) is that of the Old Testament prophets - all of which suffered, and some of which were martyred. They had no idea of the "big picture" in that they would point to the Messiah coming many generations after their own deaths.
God is just testing us if we will talk to him or not. That happened to the man ( I forgot the name) that almost lost everything, the guy with a freaking dragon. God said to Satan "do anything you want to do him, just don't take his life and he will still worship me"
I still cannot comprehend why God didn't protect me from the ill treatment that I received from my blood relatives and work colleagues. I deeply hurt and heartbroken.
You "atheist", seem to watch this video without listening. Leave your objections aside and listen with your ears and heart open. A human trying to understand the work of GOD. Not easy just takes a little faith to believe.
This video is wonderful! Thank you. Not only has it helped inspire me , it has reminded me to hold onto my faith and to trust the Lord completley as he has a great plan for all of us. It's just about doing our best to get through the journey and stay strong holding his hand. Amen!! :)
Present Suffering and Future Glory 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
We allow the suffering. Every time we see a homeless person in the streets we are all connected with it and recognize our accountability for it and all other suffering. Putting too much stock in money and not enough in our brothers and sisters regardless of station of life. Everyone needs an opportunity to contribute and utilize all this Earth has to offer as God gave us all
What about the fact that when you die and make it to heaven you will lose most, if not all, of your memories from this life?? What's the point of allowing suffering now only for us to not remember it happened? What's the lesson or 'greater good' in that?
You don't lose all your memories or most of them in fact you have to answer for your sins to God which brings back a lot of memories and you will still remember family as well
Great job..!! God Bless You. I stumbled here looking for a video that is for the non-believers.. Like the people of other faith.. Got any suggesstions?
The only way to destroy evil is with love, if u don't want believe, anything I say will not change your mind but look at God this way. During Christmas do u like to receive presents, I do. God is like that and he has given u the greatest gift, this life. So don't waste it. Be kind to yourself.
+Robert Jacquart let's extend that metaphor further. He gave all people the gift of life, but some of them the gift of cancer, or other disease along with it, meaning that after 3 years of this gift, god took the gift away
Chuck W If you ever feel like writing something that actually relates to my point let me know. Your sentence is just a massive distraction. The fact that god has done more good than me does not take away from the fact that god did create children with fatal and painfull diseases. Either that, or god did not care enough to help them get free of those diseases.
God gave us scientists with the freedom and intelligence to find cures for deadly diseases -- and they have. Scientists have also found answers to many of the mysteries of the universe. Hunger for knowledge is inborn in mankind.

Without choice, there is no free will. Without the tree of choice, there is no free will. Without free will, there is no ability to help the suffering.
Because how many animals in the wild go out of their way to help other animals that are suffering. This is a choice to love from the gift of free will.
ELI ELI LAMA SABACHTANI Eli Eli lama sabachtani ! Is that what you think, My child ? calm down, trust Me, don't be riled I am always at your side, don't forget, also for you I died. The world makes a lot of noise those who don't follow, it gladly destroys. For you I don't set exorbitant expectations nor turn away when I see your frustrations I never promised you life would be easy more often than not it can be very cheesy. Stay with Me, My child, don't ever leave Me I hold you tight each time you want to flee you are so much Mine, I need you, I need you when it's difficult I pull you through. I promised you the victory which presently might seem contradictory but know My child that GOD NEVER LIES the way I will act will be a surprise. Come rest at My Heart while My Love is mounting and every hair on your head I have been counting. Walk in My footsteps it's your only security to continue your life in innocence and purity. This world is heading for total destruction 'cause it surrendered to the evil one's seduction. Offer Me all your doubts and hardships and I will turn them into Divine Worships. I wait for you, My daughter to refresh your soul with My Salvation Water. Your Jesus, Your Lord and Savior who loves you more than you can imagine. Rita Biesemans June 17th 2013
See the majority of people cant really explain God because he is limitless. he is time and beyond time, he is everywhere and nowhere. That's deep but think about the capacities that we all have in ourselves. We can love but we also can be selfish and sinful. I aint unlike you, I've gotten pissed off at God, told him I hated him, cursed the Bible, even questioned his existence. Even cursed my own existence. Lived 10 years in Depression, been a drug addict and now dealing with a Lust addiction. Even some the most holy of men and women questioned the existence of God. Take Mother Teresa she went 50 years without feeling the presence of God but she kept on being faithful to her calling. look at the men and women who made a vast difference in the lives of others because of their callings. Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, The Salvation Army, The Catholic Church, Malala Yousafzai, Nelson Mandela that's just to name a few. They strove to make the world a better place to live and they lived to serve others. See humans are not God, we may be made in the image and likeness of God, but we are not God. I use to wander why I cried so much especially at Catholic Mass but it is the closest thing to God, something about the gift of tears make me feel like God is like that. He see's how we treat each other, that loneliness, being judged by our fellow man, our mistakes, our failures, our sins, how men to seem to care more for money and power and fame, then for Love. Divine Love is not Human Love. See God loves you unlike anyone else, he only wants the best for you but the majority of the time we humans including Christians don't know what that is. Character and virtue. See were more connected to each other than most people think. Christians can be selfish to at times. But my God loves you even in your unbelief, in your struggles, in your difficulties, even when you succeed even when all seems to hit rock bottom, when life falls apart or some one dies unexpectedly, who may have been your
God is Spirit, but his attributes can be seeing by what is created. God is infinite, we are finite. Jesus was God in the flesh. To truly understand God it is religion u need to show u that God is mysterious. That God is good, that sin is what is disordered in man. It is man that uses God to destroy and kill in the name of God. Most men dont understand the concept of love so how are they going to understand the concept of God. If religion made up a God why would they make up such a demanding God. A God that says to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, be forgiving. Men who served God would die for Christ. Jesus even said his message is not popular to the world, if they hated me they will hate you. Jesus own words. God gives you freewill to accept his son Jesus or to reject him, it is a choice. But my Jesus hates one thing, sin. But he told his followers to continue preaching the word. My Jesus as sustained my life for 50 years. I have been through 10 years of depression, served my country in Desert Storm and was almost killed by a mortar round, I am a regular person just like you. I am a recovering addict also. Alot of people have had a bad experience in religion or been wronged in some way shape or form. I have also been judged by Christians because of my past. But I dont live for them, I live for God. To please God by loving u even if u hate me. i just read alot watch very little Television and help my elderly mother. Thanks for your time.
God is present at the mass through the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and since Jesus said “whenever two or more are gathered in my name I am there”
Most suffering is caused by man's own hand, I've heard many times before why is their war which causes so much suffering if we have such a loving God? God did not cause war, humans did. Humans are the reason why we have so many types of cancer and so many illnesses/diseases. God gave us this beautiful world which we took and squeezed the life out of by overusing it's natural resources and polluting it to dangerous levels. We tend to blame God for the things that are our responsibility for and the answer isn't blaming God but knowing what the problem is and finding a way to solve it.
Saya berharap anda melakukan hal yang benar, jangan menghabiskan waktu berbicara, tetapi lakukan hal yang benar, sebab jika kita hanya memanfaatkan waktu hanya berbicara maka kita kehilangan semangat dan kepercayaan 😊
God would not be responsible for our decisions based on Free-will, however he would be if that Free-will is born in ignorance. Considering that we walked the earth for a few hundred thousand years aimlessly, I don't see how you could describe God as being compassionate.
Why does God allow suffering? If Jehovah God is all-powerful, loving, wise, and just, why is the world so full of hatred and injustice? Have you ever wondered about these things yourself? 3, 4. (a) What shows that it is not wrong to ask why God allows suffering? (b) How does Jehovah feel about wickedness and suffering? 3 Is it wrong to ask why God allows suffering? Some worry that asking such a question means that they do not have enough faith or that they are showing disrespect for God. When reading the Bible, however, you will find that faithful, God-fearing people had similar questions. For example, the prophet Habakkuk asked Jehovah: “Why do you make me witness wrongdoing? And why do you tolerate oppression? Why are destruction and violence before me? And why do quarreling and conflict abound?”-Habakkuk 1:3. Jehovah will end all suffering 4 Did Jehovah scold the faithful prophet Habakkuk for asking such questions? No. Instead, God included Habakkuk’s sincere words in the inspired Bible record. God also helped him to get a clearer understanding of matters and to gain greater faith. Jehovah wants to do the same for you. Remember, the Bible teaches that “he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) God hates wickedness and the suffering it causes far more than any human does. (Isaiah 55:8, 9) Why, then, is there so much suffering in the world? WHY SO MUCH SUFFERING? 5. What reasons are sometimes offered to explain human suffering, but what does the Bible teach? 5 People of various religions have gone to their religious leaders and teachers to ask why there is so much suffering. Often, the response is that suffering is God’s will and that he long ago determined everything that would ever happen, including tragic events. Many are told that God’s ways are mysterious or that he brings death upon people-even children-so that he can have them in heaven with him. As you have learned, though, Jehovah God never causes what is bad. The Bible says: “It is unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly, for the Almighty to do wrong!”-Job 34:10. 6. Why do many people make the mistake of blaming God for the suffering in the world? 6 Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming God for all the suffering in the world? In many cases, they blame Almighty God because they think that he is the real ruler of this world. They do not know a simple but important truth that the Bible teaches. You learned that truth in Chapter 3 of this book. The real ruler of this world is Satan the Devil. 7, 8. (a) How does the world reflect the personality of its ruler? (b) How have human imperfection and “time and unexpected events” contributed to suffering? 7 The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering. 8 A second reason why there is so much suffering is that, as discussed inChapter 3, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9) A third reason for suffering is “time and unexpected events.”(Read Ecclesiastes 9:11.) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. 9. Why can we be sure that Jehovah has a good reason for allowing suffering to continue? 9 It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering. He is not responsible for the wars, the crimes, the oppression, or even the natural disasters that cause people to suffer. Still, we need to know, Why does Jehovah allow all this suffering? If he is the Almighty, he has the power to stop it. Why, then, does he hold back? The loving God that we have come to know must have a good reason.-1 John 4:8. A VITAL ISSUE IS RAISED 10. What did Satan call into question, and how? 10 To find out why God allows suffering, we need to think back to the time when suffering began. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying Jehovah, an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question Jehovah’s power.Even Satan knows that there is no limit to Jehovah’s power. Rather, Satan questioned Jehovah’s right to rule. By calling God a liar who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that Jehovah is a bad ruler. (Read Genesis 3:2-5.) Satan implied that mankind would be better off without God’s rulership. This was an attack on Jehovah’s sovereignty, his right to rule. 11. Why did Jehovah not just destroy the rebels in Eden? 11 Adam and Eve rebelled against Jehovah. In effect, they said: ‘We do not need Jehovah as our Ruler. We can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong.’ How could Jehovah settle that issue? How could he teach all intelligent creatures that the rebels were wrong and that his way truly is best? Someone might say that God should simply have destroyed the rebels and made a fresh start. But Jehovah had stated his purpose to fill the earth with the offspring of Adam and Eve, and he wanted them to live in an earthly paradise. (Genesis 1:28) Jehovahalways fulfills his purposes. (Isaiah 55:10, 11) Besides that, getting rid of the rebels in Eden would not have answered the question that had been raised regarding Jehovah’s right to rule. 12, 13. Illustrate why Jehovah has allowed Satan to become the ruler of this world and why God has permitted humans to govern themselves. 12 Let us consider an illustration. Imagine that a teacher is telling his students how to solve a difficult problem. A clever but rebellious student claims that the teacher’s way of solving the problem is wrong. Implying that the teacher is not capable, this rebel insists that he knows a much better way to solve the problem. Some students think that he is right, and they also become rebellious. What should the teacher do? If he throws the rebels out of the class, what will be the effect on the other students? Will they not believe that their fellow student and those who joined him are right? All the other students in the class might lose respect for the teacher, thinking that he is afraid of being proved wrong. But suppose that the teacher allows the rebel to show the class how hewould solve the problem. Is the student more qualified than the teacher? 13 Jehovah has done something similar to what the teacher does. Remember that the rebels in Eden were not the only ones involved. Millions of angels were watching. (Job 38:7; Daniel 7:10) How Jehovah handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually all intelligent creation. So, what has Jehovah done? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has also allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan’s guidance. 14. What benefit will come from Jehovah’s decision to allow humans to govern themselves? 14 The teacher in our illustration knows that the rebel and the students on his side are wrong. But he also knows that allowing them the opportunity to try to prove their point will benefit the whole class. When the rebels fail, all honest students will see that the teacher is the only one qualified to lead the class. They will understand why the teacher thereafter removes any rebels from the class. Similarly, Jehovah knows that all honesthearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves. Like Jeremiah of old, they will learn this vital truth: “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”-Jeremiah 10:23. WHY SO LONG? 15, 16. (a) Why has Jehovah allowed suffering to continue for so long? (b) Why has Jehovah not prevented such things as horrible crimes? 15 Why, though, has Jehovah allowed suffering to go on for so long? And why does he not prevent bad things from happening? Well, consider two things that the teacher in our illustration would notdo. First, he would not stop the rebel student from presenting his case. Second, the teacher would not help the rebel to make his case. Similarly, consider two things that Jehovah has determined not to do. First, he has not stopped Satan and those who side with him from trying to prove that they are right. Allowing time to pass has thus been necessary. In the thousands of years of human history, mankind has been able to try every form of self-rule, or human government. Mankind has made some advances in science and other fields, but injustice, poverty, crime, and war have grown ever worse. Human rule has now been shownto be a failure. 16 Second, Jehovah has not helped Satan to rule this world. If God were to prevent horrible crimes, for instance, would he not, in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would God not be making people think that perhaps humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? If Jehovah were to act in that way, he would become party to a lie. However, “it is impossible for God to lie.”-Hebrews 6:18. 17, 18. What will Jehovah do about all the harm that has resulted from the rule of humans and the influence of Satan? 17 What, though, about all the harm that has been done during the long rebellion against God? We do well to remember that Jehovah is almighty. Therefore, he can and will undo the effects of mankind’s suffering. As we have already learned, the ruining of our planet will be undone by the turning of the earth into Paradise. The effects of sin will be removed through faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, and the effects of death will be reversed by means of the resurrection. God will thus use Jesus “to break up the works of the Devil.” (1 John 3:8) Jehovah will bring all of this about at just the right time. We can be glad that he has not acted sooner, for his patience has given us the opportunity to learn the truth and to serve him. (Read2 Peter 3:9, 10.) Meanwhile, God has been actively seeking sincere worshippers and helping them to endure any suffering that may come upon them in this troubled world.-John 4:23; 1 Corinthians 10:13. 18 Some might wonder, ‘Could all this suffering have be
God left us a long time ago. That is why you don't hear news of ordinary people, priests or preachers seeing or talking to God like they did during the old testament.
factoring eternity into the equation, God doesn't really need to give us every last ounce of convenience here on earth. besides, suffering can be used for good. So no, there's no problem of evil...
I don't know what to tell you, but you can handle whatever you are going through. Trust me NO suffering is great when compared to the suffering of Christ.
Do we really forget how much sin still exists? How much cleansing we all need? God isn't done. Surely I know just as you all do that so many things can be better. Yet what are we truly doing about any of them. If we can't even let God completely in to our lives. How can we all impact people in need. True we all can still do much but without asking God or pursuing a relationship with Him how can we even know what is still needed. It's not like he's to why we all think the way we do. Yet do we just seek to ask questions or actually want answers. We all can do something but if there's no connection or reconnection with Christ what is there to be done? Just feelings that Change so frequently and thoughts without much direction. Take your chance and just acknowledge that these situations aren't in vain. The world isn't what God had originally made it to be. We've polluted it so how can it be all we'd want it to be if God is taken out of the picture we're in. The devil exists with his companions May God rebuke him. So really saying God doesn't care means your deeply hurting. Work on a relationship with God so healing can be done. I'm not God I can't answer all your questions or know exactly how your life has been, is or will be but know that God can make you into so much more to the point that you can change what hasn't been.
"Thoughts like, “this might be all part of God’s plan,” or “there are no accidents in life,” or “everyone on some level gets what he or she deserves” - these ideas are not only stupid, they are extraordinarily callous. They are nothing more than a childish refusal to connect with the suffering of other human beings. It is time to grow up and let our hearts break at moments like this.” -Sam Harris
Ah, Sam Harris. A scientist thinking he's a philosopher and theologian. He has no credentials to speak on theology, history or philosophy. Where's that legendary critical thinking you skeptics are supposed to be known for? Brb, I have a backache, so I'm going to go to my political science professor to get that looked at.
The metaphysical mysteries of what God does and what God allows and why are simply beyond our abilities to completely grasp. There is a certain amount of informed trusting along with a bit of somewhat 'blind' faith mixed in with personal experience that we rely on. All of this is integrated into what we understand as 'hope' and 'faith' which are informed by knowledge of what has been revealed to us through scripture, tradition and our own personal experience. . Thus faith is nurtured by grace and grows. Since this is 'Meta' physical we must be sensitive to this 'other' plane of reality if our faith is to grow. The ultimate goal is pure and perfect love, in relationship, that is there, revealed and available but we must choose it from free will or it isn't pure love. If there is a shortage of compassion in our response to suffering then we are yet spiritually immature. Yet there remains hope both for the sufferer and the observer. Does this make any sense?
+halomodtesters In the hopes of gaining an interest in an on going conversation St Paul spoke of the unknown God to the Greeks. He said that he was all things to all people so that he could develop a receptiveness to them hearing and considering the truth, who is a person, Jesus Christ. Your direct approach is of course the best approach in the best of circumstances but can be a bit like preaching to the choir. Sometimes the best we can hope for us to plant seeds and hopefully have an opportunity to water them and watch them grow.
I am wondering if we all came together in an extreme way if something magical would happen and we could mentally and physically overcome our selfish urges to make the wrong choices, Or at least enough of us to tip the scale towards truth and selfless living which sounds extreme but would be so much better than the horrible mess the world trudges through now. In a nutshell Give up what we percieve to be important and have the faith to just give ...maybe it would catch on like a domino effect and make its way into a full circle..I am not really sure how to word what i am trying to convey.. wishing something like this would catch on and i will continue to do my tiny part with progress each day...:)
Very meaningful video! But I think the music is overwhelming, maybe a little bit too loud, sometimes hard to hear the commentator! I think it would be more dramatic without the music. Just simple words reaching a hurting world.
Really? If he's the absolute power and he can do ANYTHING! Couldn't he just let his stories run smooth and without all those horrible pains in innocent humans? I wish I could believe you man... I really wish... But no...
@@Antboy4566 He has offered us eternal salvation from the mess we created. You’re seeing things through a wicked and twisted lens. I don’t recommend setting yourself up as God’s judge.
From my skeptical view, here is a question that I'd like to ask. On the day after Jesus died for our sins, how was the world any different?, people in other parts of the globe would know nothing about Christ's suffering on the cross for hundreds upon hundreds of years. And when Christianity did reach places like South America when the Spanish and Portuguese came, they forced Christianity on the indigenous people of those lands with the threat of death by the sword or cannonball. They didn't come with the peace of Jesus in their hearts, they came to plunder and subjugate the population, and to force Christianity on them.
It's curious why people that say God does not exist take the time to watch and comment on videos about God. Are they looking for some solace in their loneliness? Are they looking for some justification to living their life without any accountability? Maybe they're smarter than the billions that have and do believe. Maybe they just want to continue living their lives without care and responsibilities. If that's the case so be it but who are they to question others' beliefs. I believe and when I am right at the end of my life I will win everything. What will they gain? Nothing but they will lose everything after living a life of emptiness and despair without God in their life. I will gain everything living my life the best I can to please God. And that beats anything they can ever say.
At the moment in our lives when suffering seems to engulf us, when things seem almost hopeless, that is the time to turn to the crucified Christ. Contemplate Our innocent, loving Saviour, ask Him for the graces to shoulder the burdens that must be carried. Peace is what He promises, to know that there is a purpose for our suffering. If we are in Purgatory, it is then that we will wish we did our suffering on earth, to be purified while alive to enter Heaven at our death.
Can someone please answer my question when someone is near the end of their life and they are suffering in pain why doesn't the Lord end they're Life.. instead of watching he or she suffering in pain not being able to feed themselves not being able to walk etc.. on their deathbed
This is fine and all and not bad but have you considered that when you post a video about a topic that touches people at such a difficult and challenging place in their lives that you should be prepared to engage them with dialogue or at least answer their comments and questions with a thanks for watching at the very least?. I would suggest that you don't actually suffer to any deep and chronic extent thus perhaps you are not qualified to add your editorial voice to the topic,
This video doesn't explain why. It just shows you how people believe in an all powerful god that feels you should suffer so you can go to heaven. He he really loves us and wants us to go to heaven he should make sure he reveals himself in a way that's undeniable. So that we All believe in him and want to change the world.
And please ,Quoting scripture does not prove anything other than you've memorized what you were told and read, and are good at repeating what you were told and read .
Ok Here's A Question... If God Let's Us Suffer Because We Are Causing It, Many People Say That Their Love Or Something Like That Causes Them To Go To Depression. They Pray To God And Then He Helps Them And Stops Their SUFFERING. So Basically... If He Let's Us Suffer, Why Do People Say He's Real Because He Stopped Their Suffering?
If God was real there will be no more pain and suffering in the world and people will not be starving there would be no sadness but there is still pain and suffering and people are still starving because God does not exist
Thank you Chuck, I hope you get better too.
Agreed...Great video.
I watch and read many Catholic and Christian writings but this video is one of the best things I have seen. Thank you
Thanks Chris for being sharing the wisdom god has given you.
Thank You ..I Am Suffering..But I Thank God For It Anyway...I Needed This Tonight...Keep Passing It On!! Amen!
Be healed in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Brought me to tears thinking about how great god’s love is for us
Amen to that brother! Thy will be done. Jesus I trust in you. Thank you and God bless.
A christian is only in name I say you are but God knows himself the lamb that was not cast aside but slain!
I just stumbled across your videos and I can't tell you how uplifting it is to hear the truth of Our Lord's teachings being proclaimed so passionately, and with love. God bless you man. Please keep up the good work, and I pray Our Lord continues to bless you and guide you.
uplifting for your death and dying. wow uplifting. you sick.
Bitter children, amiss in your dealings with Me,
I love you, yet you refuse Me still
In favor of your own way!...
Peoples of this world, and all pastors
And teachers and leaders among men,
You are forsaken, given up to the fire...
The fires of My own correction,
The harsh discipline of The Father,
The day of refinement and tears.
For as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten,
Bringing forth much thanksgiving
To the praise of My glory...
As it is written, so shall it be done...
Therefore trust in My ways,
For I am The King alone;
Apart from Me, there is nothing at all."
I needed to hear this SO badly right now! Thank you for this beautiful video with a great reminder that God is always with us, even when everything seems so dark. This brought me to tears and reminded me how much Jesus loves me!
Jesus provide me, a sufferer, a blessed purpose and a tangible grace from my suffering.
God Bless; outstanding.
Thank you so much, Chris. This was exactly what the Lord needed me to hear.
Great video, Chris! Thank you so much. May God bless you and your family.
Sir your words changed my life for forever and ever! So motivated!
God does not put something in our way that we cannot conquer.
Great message, I loved it... It made me think twice for whatever I do in the rest of the day. God bless!!
Jesuschrist I Trust In YOU !🙏👍💪🙏 Viva Cristo Rey !

God is good all the time , .and all the time God is good no matter what.....❤️
God lets us suffer because he has a joyful ending for us.
+Dank Memes He loves you so much you do not even understand, BUT! if you don't like him he sends you to hell for eternity and watches you burn. But he loves you.
Josiah not true Hell means grave you’ll be put to rest forever that’s all
thank you for your videos
God is the best thank you for this speech I cried
This is so helpful!
Yes, my opportunity to share in Jesus's sorrow
Love this video!
Awesome video!
Your awesome!! God Bless!
Finally somebody said this
All I know is that I am really, really, really, tired of this world with all its ugliness, hate and mud slinging. Please pray that Jesus comes back soon to take his children home.
What a wonderful video. It really spoke to me at a time when I needed it.
Thanks for sharing, Jocelyne! We'll keep you and your family in our prayers

God said to Satan "do anything you want to do him, just don't take his life and he will still worship me"
Good video man
I Will Carry my Cross !🙏👍💪🙏⛪
Very well done. Thank you for your gift, it is a true blessing. Carry on my friend.
Jennifer
I still cannot comprehend why God didn't protect me from the ill treatment that I received from my blood relatives and work colleagues. I deeply hurt and heartbroken.
God bless you 🙏❤
You "atheist", seem to watch this video without listening. Leave your objections aside and listen with your ears and heart open. A human trying to understand the work of GOD. Not easy just takes a little faith to believe.
Awesome!
Well done!
This video is wonderful! Thank you. Not only has it helped inspire me , it has reminded me to hold onto my faith and to trust the Lord completley as he has a great plan for all of us. It's just about doing our best to get through the journey and stay strong holding his hand. Amen!! :)
Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
I’m suffering a lot with my husband and my husband is doing so much bad things behind my back. How come he’s not suffering?
Because your husband is CHADDIUS MAXIMUMIS while you're a virgin Becky.
Cause he’s listening to the stupid devil that’s why dear don’t worry you be fine Jesus told me he love you always remember that
It was a pleasure to meet you today Chris 👌✊💕 thank you for coming to st.Anthony
We allow the suffering. Every time we see a homeless person in the streets we are all connected with it and recognize our accountability for it and all other suffering. Putting too much stock in money and not enough in our brothers and sisters regardless of station of life. Everyone needs an opportunity to contribute and utilize all this Earth has to offer as God gave us all
Great video.
Brilliant !!
What about the fact that when you die and make it to heaven you will lose most, if not all, of your memories from this life??
What's the point of allowing suffering now only for us to not remember it happened? What's the lesson or 'greater good' in that?
Right! Very good question. And if life is all about suffering to "learn lessons" that we can't remember, I really don't want to be a part of it.
You don't lose all your memories or most of them in fact you have to answer for your sins to God which brings back a lot of memories and you will still remember family as well
This all ties in with Free Will. Great video!
No one chooses to get cancer or ALS.
Great job..!! God Bless You.
I stumbled here looking for a video that is for the non-believers..
Like the people of other faith.. Got any suggesstions?
good
Amen
The only way to destroy evil is with love, if u don't want believe, anything I say will not change your mind but look at God this way. During Christmas do u like to receive presents, I do. God is like that and he has given u the greatest gift, this life. So don't waste it. Be kind to yourself.
+Robert Jacquart let's extend that metaphor further. He gave all people the gift of life, but some of them the gift of cancer, or other disease along with it, meaning that after 3 years of this gift, god took the gift away
+Ludvig Burman ... and you he gave health and wealth. And how much suffering have you helped to alleviate with your gifts?
Chuck W If you ever feel like writing something that actually relates to my point let me know.
Your sentence is just a massive distraction.
The fact that god has done more good than me does not take away from the fact that god did create children with fatal and painfull diseases. Either that, or god did not care enough to help them get free of those diseases.
God gave us scientists with the freedom and intelligence to find cures for deadly diseases -- and they have. Scientists have also found answers to many of the mysteries of the universe. Hunger for knowledge is inborn in mankind.

For as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten,
Bringing forth much thanksgiving
To the praise of My glory...
As it is written, so shall it be done...
Therefore trust in My ways,
For I am The King alone;
Apart from Me, there is nothing at all."

Without choice, there is no free will. Without the tree of choice, there is no free will. Without free will, there is no ability to help the suffering.
Because how many animals in the wild go out of their way to help other animals that are suffering. This is a choice to love from the gift of free will.

Is that what you think, My child ?
calm down, trust Me, don't be riled
I am always at your side,
don't forget, also for you I died.
The world makes a lot of noise
those who don't follow, it gladly destroys.
I work in silence to open the doors
I will provide you the perfect oars
to steer your boat in My direction
which will request a lot of circumspection.
For you I don't set exorbitant expectations
nor turn away when I see your frustrations
I never promised you life would be easy
more often than not it can be very cheesy.
Stay with Me, My child, don't ever leave Me
I hold you tight each time you want to flee
you are so much Mine, I need you, I need you
when it's difficult I pull you through.
I promised you the victory
which presently might seem contradictory
but know My child that GOD NEVER LIES
the way I will act will be a surprise.
Come rest at My Heart while My Love is mounting
and every hair on your head I have been counting.
Walk in My footsteps it's your only security
to continue your life in innocence and purity.
This world is heading for total destruction
'cause it surrendered to the evil one's seduction.
Offer Me all your doubts and hardships
and I will turn them into Divine Worships.
I wait for you, My daughter
to refresh your soul with My Salvation Water.
Your Jesus, Your Lord and Savior who loves you more than you can imagine.

But my God loves you even in your unbelief, in your struggles, in your difficulties, even when you succeed even when all seems to hit rock bottom, when life falls apart or some one dies unexpectedly, who may have been your
+Robert McAnany Are you saying that you are seeing the weaker among us as inferior and thus their beliefs are invalid and should be crushed?
God is present at the mass through the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and since Jesus said “whenever two or more are gathered in my name I am there”
even when u beg and suffer then die doing it. ya sweet.
God's plan is suffering in order to create a greater good. That's a mess. I'll take the greater good immediately. Thanks!
Jehovah will end all suffering
4 Did Jehovah scold the faithful prophet Habakkuk for asking such questions?
A VITAL ISSUE IS RAISED
I just feel like dieing dose he really notice my pain and 😭 this is too much for me how long 😭😭😭😭
Sandy Coco , listen again...take InThe message as much as you can. Ask God to keep healing you.
I don't know what to tell you, but you can handle whatever you are going through. Trust me NO suffering is great when compared to the suffering of Christ.
WR GOTTA DEAL WITH HOMELESSNESS
To any suffering souls -- this will alleviate pain for a few brief minutes -- (YT video) Schubert - Ave Maria - Deanna Durbin
Great video! And where can I download the background music?
SovngardeBeckoned So where do you disagree with that statement?
Did you ever get a good answer to your question about the existence of God?
But no...
Because those stories are boring and God demands to be entertained.
So, this God gets a free pass for everything bad thing he has done but not for us
@@Antboy4566 He has offered us eternal salvation from the mess we created.
God will get hate if he keeps hating us
It's curious why people that say God does not exist take the time to watch and comment on videos about God.
Too cool for school!
Put it this way. No suffering is as great as the suffering of Jesus. The joy they will have with God is limitless.
This is fine and all and not bad but have you considered that when you post a video about a topic that touches people at such a difficult and challenging place in their lives that you should be prepared to engage them with dialogue or at least answer their comments and questions with a thanks for watching at the very least?. I would suggest that you don't actually suffer to any deep and chronic extent thus perhaps you are not qualified to add your editorial voice to the topic,
Could you caption your videos?
What city is this?
Did anyone ever answer your question?
+halomodtesters So What You Are Saying Is...
God Is The Reason Everyone Dies From Cancer... Because He Doesn't Want To Save Them Oke
If God was real there will be no more pain and suffering in the world and people will not be starving there would be no sadness but there is still pain and suffering and people are still starving because God does not exist
