Have one, love it. I have a 8000m2 property with all kind of different lawn patches with all kinds of obstacles (flowerbeds or just random trees/flowers) and different shapes. Be sure to install all the software updates when setting it up. After that, just ride it across the lawns and done! It does not care about holes, ditches or uneven terrain. It just barges on! It is really strong, one time it moved a wooden construction with beehives on it that weighs around 50kg (be sure too map the no-go zones correctly :) ) Few minor issues I encountered are: When the grass is a bit too long it will get stuck under the cutting blades so the blades can't rotate freely anymore. And the obstacle detection fails when there is an overhang the Luba needs to get under. One time it got stuck with its camera unit under a wooden beam from the beehive construction.
Thanks for sharing. I am in a similar situation with lots of varied grass types/dust/mud etc. and lots of obstacles. Yes, it does clog up fairly easily, but it is meant to cut short grass often, not long grass occasionally. I haven't had it go into anything serious yet, so hopefully my mapping is on point 😂
If activity_mode="stuck" (not sure if that's a thing) then shutdown the mower so you don't have to carry it in 12 hours when you get around to rescuing it. I built a specific cradle for my forklift tractor just for rescuing Luba (V1)
It doesn't really matter what height you want your lawn, as long as it is within the height setting on the mower. You are mowing every day or two days with the LUBA 2, so it only cuts off a tiny bit every time, so the height you want doesn't matter.
Pretty cool now I want one!
It's so good. Saves us about 8-10 hours of mowing a week. And the lawn looks much better.
I subscribed because I'm all about the 28:44 ! 😊
Absolutely! The HA integration has improved a lot since then too.
Love my Lubas. Two seasons without any major hitches
Me too! They save sooooo much time, my lawns look much better, and robots!

if rainfall over the past week
That is perfect! Now to actually make that happen....
@@LarsKlintTech EcoWitt integration has the rain data for me, so I think I can do it (but the integration is being a bit stubborn to configure)
@@PCRoss2469 I use the EcoWitt too, so should have most of it. The area is the tricky bit for me, as that seems temperamental.
"If on_Charge and charge% >85% turn off the power" - to better maintain the battery, not done well by Mammotion

Can the Luba 2 mow grass if you are mowing your lawn around 3" tall setting on a normal lawn mower or is that to tall and thick for the Luba 2?

It would be neat if it would push the sticks or balls to the edge of the lawn with the front bumper.
Definitely, but that sounds really difficult.
how long till someone can turn up to the farm and talk to a lady in a can and say Alexa tell Mowzart to mow fruity lanuage in to my lawn.
If you're involved Clint, maybe 3-4 minutes? Why do you want to write "APPLES" on my lawn anyway?
Love the SUBSCRIBE bit!!!!
Haha, thanks mate. I love it too, so much it is still there being meticulously mowed 😂
@@LarsKlintTech ... great review, guess that's the one I need to get :)
@@Hougaard It works for me. If you get one, consider using my affiliate link please :)
I have a large tree in the middle of my lawn. I wonder if the Luba 2 will work there.
I'd say it will. I have tons of large trees and no issues. The first gen couldn't handle it, but this has had no issues.
@@LarsKlintTech Special Thanks from the other side of the world. You already helped me with my Ubiquiti stuff.
@@ArnoSchmidt70 Any time mate. That is why I create the videos ☺
If you do consider getting a LUBA 2, please use the link below and we both win.
@@LarsKlintTech Can just create a no-go zone. Works fine (with Luba 1)
@@PCRoss2469 I think Arno was referring to the GPS coverage and not the tree being in the way of mowing.
Will it avoid something the dogs may leave behind, or will it make a huge mess? 😂
If it is visible and "sticks out", yes it will avoid it. If it is more in the lawn, it could be a mess. 😬
@@LarsKlintTechso emojis only basically 💩 😂
I dont mow my lawn. I pay someone too do it 😀
Haha, if I had to do that, I would be broke.
