- Come along with me and my lady as we drift for some ferocious pre-spawn Ohio River blue catfish! Springtime can be a great time to catch boat filling numbers of blues with a few giants sprinkled in here and there as well!!

Sometimes you catch them and Sometimes you don’t. We’ve been out plenty and not caught much or any. Just keep on fishin. Try different bait. Good luck next time!
on your muti rod holders in the back the base plates is that 12x12 with 4x6?
I had the plates custom made by Mult-T-Bar just for my boat since I knew the aluminum was on the thin side. Yeah I believe they are 12x12. The smaller default factory base bolts onto the bigger plate. That's the smaller plate you are seeing.
@@squealingreels2503 how did you secure the plates to the boat , was the area below easy to access or was it filled with foam?
@plattner01 Filled with foam with no access. I used a rivnut tool I purchased on Amazon with no issues whatsoever. I can pretty much hang on my rod rack. I just wanted the plate to spread out loading on the thinner deck aluminum.

Parkersburg area at the mouth of the little Kanawha where it dumps into the ohio is an awesome spot. I caught my PB blue cat there and I know of 2 fish over 50+ caught there. That pool of the river is a good fishery!
got a question, your rod holders are they 4,6, or 8. and what bases you use.
4 inch stems on those smackdown rodholders. I can't recall who manufactured the bases but I can do some digging!
