Handy, was looking at doing something like this for the shed in the house I just bought. Was wondering about a damp proof membrane and didn't realise you could just install it over the insulation/wood. How do you go around windows? Just do the whole wall and cut out the openings?

Luckily I live in the north east and the Egger factory is up here. Egger Protect is readily available here. You shouldn't put plasterboards in a skip Liam. Regulations changed in 2009 and plasterboard is now classed as hazardous waste. It releases hydrogen sulphide gas when its wet and this pools as its heavier than air. The gas is flammable and poisonous and poses a risk to human health. It needs to go to a waste management facility.
P.S. I have two boards of Egger left over from my build... anyone interested... lol

Egger Protect is still readily available. Ask your supplier if they deal with Meyer Timber. That's where we get ours from 👍

Sorry basic question - what order do you do electrics vs plaster board? Also need to add windows so do I cut before you do all this? Thanks a lot!

Great Videos as always but may i suggest outsourcing of call taking as i had the same problem as a number of people getting a response back which is the only downside i can see. I have text advertised mobiles, emailed and called with only 1 email response but then did not get a further reply. Having said that i can see the quality and sometimes all good things come to them who wait. What is your maximum installation distance you travel?

What are your thoughts on air con unit for these garden rooms to help keep warm in winter & circulate air and keep cool in summer. My thinking is less moisture build up in winter when you leave for the night and room cools quickly vs just having an electric heater

No mate, I’m not sure what goes on with them, but every time they bring a roll to the counter they can’t find it on the system 🤷‍♂️ if like most big stores, everything is in the same place, then it should be near the fibre installation and the blue rolls of damp course membrane, sorry I can’t be of more help

Hi everyone. Great video. This might be a wind-up question. I have insulated the garage just like in this video i.e. breather membrane - stud wall- Kingspan insulation board - polystyrene vapour barrier and plasterboard. But then I watched the video th-cam.com/video/f5w-kgQ4GhE/w-d-xo.html 3:05 min. Will not vapour barrier trap moisture between the drywall and the insulation causing mould just as described in this video. Guys, what's your view on that?
