We love ours, but still climb when necessary. Think tall hedge trimming, or removing multiple trees from one set up, rainy days climbing vs riding or rigging out a dead tree in the back yard, etc... we are finding more and more uses for it the longer we have it.
An interesting article which addresses this very topic: A search Google with the phrase "climbing versus bucket truck". The very top link is an article from Kansas Arborist, which sites the source material from Tree Care Industry Association. I would post a link, but that is not allowed on TH-cam comments.
Cool lift but I would have climbed that tree and most likely be done in the time it takes to get the lift in and out. It’s like a bucket truck, great to use it but sometimes climbing is the way to go.
Hi Mechanical_shot, bucket trucks and our CMC tracked aerial lifts have their place. As you stated, we agree: not all trees are best to climb, and not all trees are best to use a bucket truck / CMC lift. There are tens of thousands of tree companies using CMC lifts / bucket trucks to do tree work without climbing. In some cases, climbing may be faster, but overall the fact that you can find CMC lifts / bucket trucks everywhere being used every day proves that there are many cases where climbing is not the better choice in all instances.

I would b asking neighbor for a exit route lol
I love the concept, but wouldn't it be easier just to get a certified arborist to climb the tree for simple limb removal?
