This amphitheatre is only minutes from my house. I hope they line up like this again this year and shake the neighbor's houses with "Thus Spake Zarathustra".
I was surprised to still see them in town on Sunday practicing. My kid jumps out of the car, I ask him where he's going. He said he wanted to say "hi" to the guy who smashed the guitar at the end of the "Rach Star" show...lol.
Could only imagine after the countless hours in 90+ degree, hot sunny days, how nice it must have been to perform like that in the rain. A Phantom Phan at heart, but Crown's Brass lines are just incredible! Keep up the excellent work Crown! Looking forward to seeing you guys on top one of these seasons.
Thank you for posting this. I saw a lot of people with cameras and only hoped what will probably be one of my favorite moments of the year was captured on video. :)
Hey Bro.....Great sound quality and in the rain....The only rain all weekend,we were lucky. Crowns horn instructor said " Make it good your performance will most likely be on U-Tube." Carolina Crown organization is way cool ! Thanks for sharing with your fan base. Best corp for entertainment! Thanks bro for a great week end getaway.:)
Wow...just wow! Knowing the Crown horn line the audio recording , while very good-even with the rain, did not do the live performance justice like at all...
Sometimes with CC I can't tell if they have a high part or its just overtones.

At that particular time I consider the people in those houses as the luckiest people alive.

Stuff like this REALLY makes me reminisce about my time doing drum corps....lol Those were the days! :)
I'm glad I could help you reminisce. I just wished you tube was around in the late 70's so I could 😊 Thank You for watching !

No problem Mike, I was lucky to get this with my Flip camera. It's one of those moments Carolina Crown has each year. Thank You for watching.
Betting that this is still a favorite memory for the brass members that year....
It is.
Holy crap. That's much more tgan a warm up in the rain. That's a brilliant performance of Copland from start to finish.
I agree but once I was getting views for this video. I didn't want to change anything. Thank You for watching!

It's not ELP, it's Aaron Copland. Get yo facts straight. Yes ELP did it, but they didn't write it.
Haven't heard a hornline like this from Crown since '05 and all i can say is my....god! :)
Good god contra entrance at 1:49 makes me salivate...
My high school is playing this or next year

I like this song by E.L,P. and this is the first time I hear any corps play it.
Herbert.
While I can see your point and respect it, I simply cannot bring myself to agree.
@@nehemiahboscia7056 what?
Most likely overtones.
