    A lot of spinning, small leaping, ballet-like movements, with those quirky little extra moves I've never seen until Mongolia

    This is a truly authentic Mongolian dance. It's a dance tribute to a man's beautiful black horse called 'Jalam khar'. You can see and feel the catching energy of Mongolian dance which is typical of people from the vast steppes of Asia.

    Buryat's territory is belong to Russia now, bit it doesn't mean that Buryats aren't Mongols.
    Buryat has russian citizenship, but they still belong to Mongolian ethnic group.
    p.s. i'm buryat :)

    • @thomaswateren3967
      @thomaswateren3967 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry I'm not Russian Mongolian or Buryat...But Buryaty are MongoLIC. Just like Tuvans and Altaic. Turkish people like tatars, bashkirs and yakutians all come from this group. Even many Chinese got their heritage from the mongols. In Europe there is the Kalmyks. Many say that the Japanese derive from Mongolian heritage. As soon as you are a people living outside of Mongolia, you become not a Mongolian but a people. You should be proud of that. Because cultures that differ even slightly are big accomplishments. Especially in modern day. Buryatia is beautiful. I have been there many times. And the people are incredible. But they are Buryat. Not Mongolian.

      @@thomaswateren3967 bruhh, they ae mongol, not mongolic, if you know the term mongolic means its for the language, and altains are not mongolic, they are turkic. And he said mongolian ethnic group, not mongolian. We mongols would just call them mongol. Not mongolian by nationality but they are mongol ethnic people.
      And mongolic includes people like daur which is much different, we got separated through out history that daurs are doesn't consider mongol to us. They are just mongolic to us. And its even harder for us to understand their language, unlike, oirad and buryat dialects.
      And if you say that buryats are not mongolian, there are mongolians who are buryats. And it doesn't matter. So if you are going to specify the sub ethnic group by MONGOLIAN IN THE COUNTRY MONGOLIA. Then what happens to those that are not KHALKH. Just because majority of the people in Mongolia is KHALKH, and the country is known/represented by Khalkhs doesn't make other mongol sub ethnic people any less Mongol or Mongolian, whether they are in mongolia or not.
      That person may not be a Mongolian, but that person is Mongol ethnic person. Not mongolic.

      Thank you for your comment. I can honestly not say I am too wise about these particular ethnic details. What I do know is that the term Altaic is controversial. At least as a language group. If I have offended you I apologize. I did not mean to be ignorant. I like to think I know a lot about the Mongolian people and Russian and Chinese ethnic groups that share a lot of the same heritage. Again I thank you for your feedback

    To the people saying this is Kalmyk dance......it is very very much not, lmao. The heel rock is in Irish dance too, but we don't accuse it of being Kalmyk. Even ignoring that it's a traditional Mongolian piece, the movement vocabulary and movement qualities are explicitly Mongolian. Kalmyk dance has a stuttering rhythm. There is no stuttering here.
