PLEASE DO NOT KEEP FISH IN BOWLS. even tho pet stores may tell you that it is okay, it is not. Every fish needs a different tank and requires different care. For example, common goldfish. They usually are rather social fish and don’t usually like being on there own, they enjoy when there owner comes up to the tank (yes they can recognize your face), they also need a tank that is on the larger size since they can grow very large (obviously tho it depends on the breed). Beta fish (seen in video) on the other hand do well in medicine to slightly on the smaller side of tanks. They M U S T be alone, especially if they are male. They will eat other fish/snails and will eat other male beta fish (not sure if they will do the same with females). They absolutely must have pleases where they can hide and sleep, if they are awake they will swim to the front of the tank to see you. I recommend having a thing that I think is called a leaf hammock so that can rest near the surface.

It's a really nice compilation, but the poor little fish in the tiny tank kinda killed it for me. Word of advice for people who want betta fish: a single fish needs at least a five gallon tank. Anything smaller and you're essentially guaranteeing it won't live its natural 3-5 year lifespan. :( people underestimate the size fish need. Goldfish can live up to 40 years, and when small need like 20 gallon tanks. Do your research people!

That betta fish isn’t being kept in optimal conditions. They need at least 5 gallon tank with a heater, not a bowl. Like you can afford a bunch of skincare and fancy accessories but you can’t get your poor pet the minimum tank size for a comfortable life. Surviving does not equal thriving.
