Love doing currency searches. In a recent video I found a 7OAK rotator to go along with many other nice finds I have made over the years. One of the things I have been working on is collecting each of the 12 federal reserve banks for each series going back as far as the 1990's. The notes you are going through are in a lot better shape then what I have been getting the past few years
Silverpicker, you’re also looking for contaminated ink well errors too right(Usually involving the black seal on the left side). I’ve found 7 of those as well, they sell for $50 and up depending on condition. I haven’t sold anything yet. I’ve saved every date I’ve come across (birthday, historical or anniversary/ tombstone). Saving most trinary notes and while doing that trying to make matching pairs with them therefore increasing the value. Pairs sell really well because of their collectibility. I’ve got well over 200 2013 B series duplicate star notes, hopefully I’m going to find a few matching pairs that would be great.
Web notes are 1988-A, 1993, 1995's. Easier way to tell is if there's no plate position indicator on the front upper left of the bill, and single digit where the plate number should be(lower right front). No need to turn the bill over. I've searched over 300k bills, and have found 9 of them. All, in very fine to UNC condition. But they're getting more difficult to find as bills are replaced by the Fed. No more star notes though, last one printed was from Dallas FRB, serial number K 19200000 *. Wouldn't mind finding that one. Sorry to see them out of print.
Web notes are extremely hard to find. I’ve only found 7 so far, sample size about four years of searching. I’ve found every type of bill except for a solid and a true ladder.
Ask Google. There are many fancy serial numbers. They are fun to look for everytime you get change. I found a $1 bill serial number 84999999 from the grocery store. I got $35 for it.
