Should we aim to finish this first or the F430? Let me know below because the projects are piling up and the anxiety is slowly creeping 🙃
Oh, don't forget to subscribe as well!
Full send on the S2K!
S2K>F430 all day my man but please stop ruining it lol. For the love of God please just stop lol
Finish the RARI she’s been waiting so long 😓
Cant spell crap with APR
As someone who has wide bodied their car, I understand the pain. For those who are looking to wide body your car be weary that all kits are not made equal. Sometime the same kit can work fine on one car, while your kit may need more TLC. I honestly would check Rocket bunny body kit for the S2000, as its a bit cheaper, and rocket bunny is known for its amazing fitments on cars. Keep at it Alex, you got this!
Thanks homie, we're going to give it our best try!
Please God no lol. The rocket bunny kit is uglier than this one. He should just get it lookin nice and oem+
@@ramonbriones4487yea I’m not a big wide body fan in general either but when done right it’s fine
You know, part of me wants the S2k to have that "funk" of a widebody fitment to stay there as a testament of "yeah, we did a widebody. No it doesnt fit perfect, but fuck it we tried and it at least runs and drives well." But another part of me wants to have that widebody to have a bit more work on it to have it fit as perfect as you can to make the whole piece fit and flow well just for the aesthetic. Either way, i cant wait to see the process and final build of clap car. Keep up the good work Alex!
Thanks dude. I'm going to learn how to fix this thing, or give it my best shot.
I would love to see it painted and have livery stickers on it in the colors of the MartiniWorks website or the colors of your bag that was available at one point. I think geometric styling would be your best bet and get some numbers. I would love to see the widebody kit finished but it may have to wait until next year. The money is invested and sometimes body stuff just takes forever. I am personally more invested in the Gloria and this than the F430 but it’d be great to get any of them! Videos are solid as ever keep them comin!
Yea “Ray” through me off was waiting for a pt.2 of the build in your garage but I guess i won’t be putting that kit on
If you’ve never drove time attack before just leave the cosmetics for after you’ve learned how to drive more. If you’re pushing the car your definitely gonna make mistakes sometimes wait till your comfortable in it and just get seat time. I’ve seen people run our local touge after finishing a build paint, suspension, bodywork, engine mods and they spin out or hit the guardrail and it’s all for nothing.
Your videos are like a burst of energy that energizes my day.
Hope you can make it back out to MN when you finish that! I'm sure the guys at JWP would probably love to see it
We're aiming to finish it by end of October, no questions asked!
Exciting!
After realigning my front with the rear unibody multiple times to get the seams lined up, I can only imagine. Stick with it, I eventually got mine pretty set, just took my time, then someone helped me total it….moving on.
Good shit! I like that spicy Miata. 😅
I think any direction you go with it, its still a cool car. Clapped out, show ready, track, time attack, whatever the setup may be. People like seeing s2ks. Thats just a fact.
My condolences Alex I know how much it sucks for a project to not turn out the way you thought it would.
I'd say finish this build first, fuck it, whatever time it takes.
Because personally it hurts when I don’t complete a project I wanted to.
I’m getting my S2000 and removing the body kit and going back to stock. I’m not worried about being different . I’m worried about being reliable😅
My wide body kit went on perfectly no mods e36 widebody from fitment lab uk
lets make a video of detailing the whole fleet?👀
Know someone?!
I'm a detailer here in Appleton lol@@AlexMartini.
welp, if that kit doesnt work out you could always custom fab one in your garage with foam and fiberglass
Those wheels would go crazy if you painted the car Cherry Red 🍒
That'd be kinda hot...
With like so much flake. Yes
Welcome back Clapped car
Salute to clappeddddd
In my humble opinion, get the car wrapped after you make this widebody kit as clean as you can. No widebody car is perfect, you can get close, but it’s very rare that that happens. Part of the appeal, at least to me
Anyways i love ur s2k
Thanks dude, me too!
I don't like anything resembling body work. Every time i pull a bumper off for a condenser or whatever i get anxiety about lining it all back up. And that's with the same piece that just came off
Me too, that's why we're going to just go heads first into it and figure it out lmfao.
Dude for real man! Lol
Bro send that APR wide body back asap! Get you something more modern
I like it and i'm not convinced it's not just us being idiots haha. More on-hands is needed and then we'll go from there!
Alex is so right. Those widebody kits need so much work!! Thats why so many of them dont look clean when you get up close and personal.
Spend 6k on a veilside widebody and the labor on fitting the kit was IMMENSE. Yeah, maybe some brands are better than others, but its far from bolt on
not every car should be perfect, lets see those lap times. also paint > wrap any day
Wide body is always hit or miss
We're going to make this a hit.
itasha wrap it
Please bro dont clap this one out man. There's still time to stop! 😢
I think im third ahaha
whattup!
not second
ope
This guy is always crying about something 😂
Jimmy chill babes
Wide body kits are all trash
not first
lol
@@AlexMartini. :)
A lot of the times with wide bodies, the molds end up getting worn out with being used which causes the kit to not exactly fit right. I’m fairly confident I’m telling you something you know already because I heard something similar in the podcast(go listen to it if you haven’t. Is great 🤌) that in and of itself could be the issue as to why the kit doesn’t fit so well. As to comparing yourself to throtl, they’ve got about 5x manpower as you working on one car with about 100 years of knowledge and expertise combined. They’re naturally going to know the ins and outs of things, Ricky himself said he had 2 different s2k’s prior. Don’t beat yourself up too much about it. After seeing the kit in person, I’d say go with it, it would be awesome to see it through and have it painted some wild color
We're going to finish this thing and make sure it's proper by the end of it all, that's a promise!
