Respect to Mounir for making it this far as a defending champ in the following year. Too bad this comp I think he repeated the chair freeze too often even if it was 'different' transitions. Hong 10 came hard in this competition and responded well with his signatures, variety and smooth transitions on every battle. I'm confident that he could've did 2-3 more sets EASILY if this battle went longer. Congrats to Hong 10! a well deserved victory!

Mounir is technically sick and always hits his moves, but he has no personality, and his dance has no musicality. He's like a robot, just doing sick tricks, not a human with character on stage. Hong10 totally deserved the win.

I agree he is perhaps the most overrated pro bboy. I can't understand how he wins so often when he rarely dances to the beat, hardly even hits beat on his uprocks its pretty lame. When he hits the ground its always at the same pace/flow regardless of the track, he may try to freeze on one beat if your lucky. I think all too often the judges are influenced by the size and reaction of the crowd, voting too often for the bboy with the largest crowd reaction instead of the best dancer. The event was not as bad as some previous in regards to the judging.

Yes Mounir was good but he repeated the same freeze twice and crash on his 3rd set. It wasn't even a close battle. Hong took all the votes. If we take out Lamine who is a part of Vagabond with Mounir and Ducky who is in the same crew as Hong 10. All 3 of the judges El Nino, Poe One and Storm all voted for Hong 10. Regardless this Red Bull 10th belong to Hong if we take out Lamine and Ducky. 1st round: El Nino voted for both Hong and Menno while Poe One and Storm voted for Hong, vs Lil Zoo all 3 voted for Hong, vs Wing El Nino voted Wing, Storm and Poe voted Hong and the final all 3 went to Hong. I do believe you though that this isn't Hong's best. His final vs Lilou in 05 and his 06 final was a lot better. I think he even said he didn't feel like he did his best in this final. Regardless Hong deserve this title.

Mounir looks really serious in his battles! He should enjoy the battles much more and have fun instead of looking down on his opponents. His performance is great, but his attitude kinda pulls it down.
I hear ya on this, maybe he has to get all crazy serious to get in the zone who knows. I do agree that his attitude is a bit of a downer most of the time, I prefer the Thesis attitude in battles. Hardcore battle face with sneaky you don't stand a chance smiles/glares and then HUGE respect after the battle and big smiles even if he lost.
