I've seen Meshuggah once. I felt the music go through me. It didn't just hit me, it blew me apart! It's like nothing else
It's an almost meditative experience.
Bill Burr said it best. He didn't really like them, then he saw them live and called it a "mind-altering experience". Now he'll go see them any chance he gets, as do I. Three times and it's still as mind-blowing as the first time.
I love how on meshuggah concerts everyone is watching and headbanging. No moshpit nothing. Ive seen the 4 times its always incredible (sry if english is bad) at least in europe I dont know how it is in the rest of the world

I've had good experiences with people at Uncle Ted, lamb of god, megadeth, tool, iron maiden, rammstein, joe satriani, Eric Johnson, and some small country shows. If you're good, everybody else will be good with you lmao. God bless!

"The more brutal the band is, the more technical they have to be" that's kind of true but Meshuggah isn't just a "brutal" band, they are really technical in the brutality. It's a Progressive Metal band so they are really technical, and also really brutal :D

Love your reactions and your honest opinion! To answer your question, Meshuggah shows are the scariest welcoming feeling you will ever get. They put on an amazing show! The pits are insane. You leave a Meshuggah show sweaty, bleeding and smiling!
Meshuggah are very conscientious about what they're doing artistically, as is evident by their lyrics. They try to express that in their vanguard rhythm technicality, etc.. The result is a very cool, metal-connoiseur live show crowd. So, nothing to fear. Check-out Bill Burrs reaction to their live show. Do a reaction to it!

I got to see Meshuggah live a couple years ago, they were touring just after their Violent Sleep of Reason release. That show was absolutely incredible. The light show was mesmerizing and everyone around me was super cool. Definitely, if you ever get the opportunity to see Meshuggah live, go for it! Cheers

By far the best metal concert I've been. They're performance is just perfect, the sound quality is fenomenal and the stage lights totally coordinated with the beats is a whole trip, makes you almost hallucinate 😅

They are considered the Godfathers of Djent so you should definitely check out more techincal bands like this. Maybe "Blood Eagle" or "Reptile" by Periphery, "King" by Teseract, "Slave" by Leprous live at the Rockefeller, or "Yoshu Fukushu" by Maximum The Hormone.
If you get a chance to see meshuggah live, you need to take it!

Metalheads are are the better crowd you can find in a concert involving rock or heavier genres and despite things may go wild for the most extreme bands out there in the case of meshuggah you're gonna find that the onions are counter-intuitively calm!

If Corona ever clears up enough for Meshuggah to go touring again, definitely go see them! Their light show is maybe even more impressive than Haake's drumming. Also it's fun to stand in the middle of a crowd awkwardly trying to headbang along while failing to keep up.
Was at a Mesuggah concert once and somebody accidentally hit me in my face so my lib started bleeding. Had to sit out with an ice cube on it but then Bleed came on and I had to mush again :D Still have a scar on it today.

Go. I went to see then in Houston and I headbanged so hard my neck muscles for a week hurt. The people are awesome. There is always a couple assholes in any place. For the most part, metalheads are rare in some places and huge in others. There is always respect amongst them. Just dont stand in the pit. :)
