I have been to Karnataka for office reasons, what I noticed is, all the people I met there , shop keepers, auto uncles and hostel wardens are so lovely and supportive, but as kannada PPL they face dominated by lot of other language people,
People move to Bangalore for job reasons and start speaking in Telugu and Hindi there , but as we r migrants we should respect their language and culture there, instead of that many migrants are not giving respect to kannada people.
That's the reason some people are getting angry over migrants.

I am from Andhra and I was been more than 5 years each in Chennai and Bangalore. Keeping secondry language as Hindi is good to people. But I see people who migrated from North also need to learn reginal language so it will be win-win situation. Currently what I observed is who migrated to south states for business purpose is they earn money and settle is south states and they build their community larger and I also see they let out there properties only to their community. And also they never try to speak south language especially who came for business and settle here.

However, one thing I'm unable to understand is why Karnataka people want to avoid the Hindi language. I don't understand why English is spoken everywhere in their state. So these guys don't like our country's regional language and want to ignore it and not use Hindi. At the same time, there is also the fact that they and their kids can speak English, a language that doesn't belong to our country.
