I think you have to distinguish between actual football players and freestylers...these aren't proper ballers. You don't need so many skill moves all it takes is one body feint in a 1v1. I can tell you this much : you wouldn't last in a 1v1 with a 14 year old if you went to west bengal kerala or the northeast let alone an adult. In bengal even professional players from africa-nigeria, ivory ciast etc come here to take part in 7v7 local tournaments...

Mumbai seriously? Mumbai? Football is just a show off there ,no hate to the real football fans living there but still you gotta admit there is no proper craze for football there . Max football followers in Mumbai are european football watchers (and club supporters)they dont even support there local team Mumbai city Fc properly and dont get me wrong player grooming wise they are the best club in India and has achieved so much in the past few years. But a personal request to you mam plz do visit West Bengal or atleast Kolkata and next you could go to Kerala and then the north east (manipur, mizorametc) and carry out these activities . I am sure you wont be dissapointed rather be overwhelmed by the overlooked talent. Talking about my state West bengal and city Kolkata one thing is for sure as soon as you touch down in the city and meet few people and observe people you are going to feel that aura and culture of football existing here , the city is the home to one of the oldest and most fiercest derbies in the world . The thing is its normal for us to have 2-3 grounds around our localities with goal posts 7 ,9 side were we play normally and its just a normal part of our life to play football we dont always need to go pro or semi pro or organise tournaments in turf . But make sure to go to maidaan were its the home of 1st to 3rd division clubs of our city. Were you are bound to see players who have better abilities than naational team starters

Hey, I was a soccer player in profession from kerala and now residing in Canada and doing part time coaching stuffs and all. I would like you to do a video in Kerala. You'll like it there. Its the football hub of India alongside Kolkata. But the enthusiasm, culture and the love to this specific sports there in Kerala is different. Almost everyone plays soccer there and they do love playing rather than watching. And I can assure you that you wont be able to play a tournament there. It's really intense and hard. Managers used to bring players from African and Asian countries just to play 7's football tournaments which is like heart of kerala football. India is 117th and 66th only because of poor infrastructure and government. Pay to qualify for higher level is the motto there. "I know this very well". Please try to do a video there in Kerala and try to visit malappuram and trivandrum (SAI) to see many talents.

It's different than I'm used to. As a kid playing indoor in gym/rinks in the cold Canadian winters in the 1980s, we'd tackle, blast shots, needed shin/knee pads and would be diving and bruised and often bloody every game. Same on pitch in the summer. These technical skills are much stronger though. No fouls, no hard tackles, no ref calls, no cards, no free kicks, no shin guards. It's a different style than I'm used to. Very enjoyable as an exhibition. Also, I've noticed this in adult leagues where people play less competitively for fun/exercise, the intensity is quite low as no one wants an injury. "Gentleman's football". There's a similar dynamic in Canadian vs. British amateur rugby and in adult intramural ice hockey. Amateur ice hockey is still competitive and rough.

Football's journey in Kerala traces back to 1899 with the establishment of the RB Ferguson Club, which was the first South Indian football club, laying the groundwork for the sport's popularity in the Malabar region of Kerala. In Kolkata, the football craze flourished from the 1880s, fueled by the city's status as a national capital under British rule, fostering the growth of numerous club teams.

    1. This is a mixed match and you being a visitor they might not want to hurt you in any way
    2. The chances of you finding great talents at a football turf in India is close to none. Go to the grounds at evening or a Flood light tourney or a Sevens tournament. You would see 5 ⭐intensity there
Also thanks for putting the effort to address the situation. Feels like you are interested in it more than some authorities

Many small villages are having talented football players, but no attempt is being made to bring them to national or even international platforms. Indian football is way behind because of two things: centralized focus on those who can afford joining some acadmy, instead of bringing talents from the ground level, secondly lack of investment on U14 players' training in those clubs/academy.

Football is a very nice sport, but nobody plays it here..
We have a football ground at Vizzy stadium in Vizianagaram....
But we use it to play cricket 😅...
Nearly 8 matches can be hosted at a single time during Sundays.. 🔥
You can see many cricket balla flying all around over your head...😂

Poeple down here in comment section telling this and that or my state is good in game, come here. yall not even have the unity on your own, how your country is supposed to play well then? i know the management and guidance plays an important role but hate among yourselves will never allow the nation to pour its talent.

Come to kerala, you can understand the intensity + rough football, and also there is a reason these guys are not using their full physic and intensity (those who know, they know😅)
