Who agrees that it is enough (to be born in Sukhavati) to recite Amitabha's Name and desire to be born in His land at the end of this current incarnation?
May all sentient beings witness this brilliant profound glory and so I heard as this is the truth I must go and make postration and upon hearing the name and meditate.

Thank you so much. Amitabha Buddha Not only did Sakyamuni Buddha use this method as the foremost method to teach all beings, but all Buddhas do the same also. The Pure Land method is hard to believe but easy to practice. Only when one has great good fortune and great wisdom will one be able to believe this method. In the Theravada tradition for example, Sariputra 5 is foremost in wisdom. In the Mahayana tradition, Manjusri is foremost in wisdom. Therefore, if one is not superior in wisdom, one cannot believe this method. Let’s think about this. Not only can our wisdom not compare with that of Manjusri Bodhisattva, it cannot even compare with that of Elder Sariputra of the Theravada tradition. But when we hear the Pure Land method, we are immediately delighted, believe and accept it, and are willing to learn and practice it. From this viewpoint, we are not inferior to Manjusri Bodhisattva. He chose this method, so have we. His choice was a wise one, so is ours. “Steadfastly dwelt” means our minds will no longer waver once we understand the principles and the phenomena of the truth, after which our minds will truly settle in “Namo Amituofo.” This [Namo Amituofo] is “the virtues and merits of all dharmas.”6 5 Both the Elder Sariputra and Manjusri Bodhisattva are listed in the assemblies listening to the Amitabha Sutra and the Infinite Life Sutra.-Trans. 6 These are the virtues and merits of Buddhahood.-Trans.
It will take innumerable eons to attain nirvana without birth in sukha vati. Not to mention the innumerable sufferings we will have to endure before we attain nirvana! And I think this is what you have not considered.
@@sumedhbhagat161 Beings in Sukhavati attain Nirvana alot quicker than what you are saying. I mean it seems like you saying being born Sukhavati has nothing to do with attaining Nirvana!
Yes. I have heard the elephant's dung turns into lotus flowers of the sweetest fragrance, and that the elephant's urine is used for perfume since the smell is do agreeable.
Sorry to say but Gautama Buddha never delivered this sutta. It was composed way after his Parinibbana. Written i Sanskrit and then transmitted to China.
He did. These teachings were given to a select few and thus took longer for them all to be collected, rather than the general teachings he gave to a mass group of people, like Theravadan.
Historically, you are correct and Pure Land monks/priests tend to recognize that, but do not consider it important. To understand why, it might help to have a stronger grasp on the fundamental principles of Mahayana Buddhism. It is also questionable whether Gautama Buddha delivered the entire contents of the sutta pitaka of the Pali Canon. These matters of historical fact are generally irrelevant when the Buddha himself insisted that the Four Noble Truths were the center of everything he preached. The path of devotion to Amitabha, and rebirth in his Pure Land for the objective of attaining enlightenment there, is one of the 84,000 dharma gates. It also does not mean you can't do other forms of practice.
Amitabha unbelievable and greatest credit no world can competency all overall Buddhas are respected
