Hi Sarah, I’m so sorry to hear about your experience at our show-it’s definitely not what we wanted for you or anyone who came out to support us. To be honest, we knew we were bringing in a big crowd, we really wanted to "shut down" VFW but even we were blown away by just how many people showed up-over 400! The venue told us this was the biggest turnout they’d seen from an individual designer in 20 years. They were caught off guard, and so were we. Things got pretty chaotic, from seating and crowd control to the delays at the door, and I know it made for a rough experience for you and others. Having been to past VFWs, it has NEVER been as chaotic as this, like ever. We were told the seating situation and guest management would be handled, but it didn’t go as planned, and we take responsibility for that. There were a lot of moving parts that should have been managed better on all ends. Lesson learned, for sure. I really appreciate how you spoke respectfully about the show and brands despite everything, and it means a lot to us. It’s people like you who remind us why we’re doing this and why we’re pushing to make Vancouver’s fashion scene something special. Again, I’m truly sorry for the way things turned out, and we’ll make sure future shows run a lot smoother. Thank you for sticking with us, even when things weren’t perfect.
