    Going through shingles right now, I am 62 ,i first got shingles when I was 50 ,got it while going through treatment for breast cancer..
    It has now been 4 weeks, the sores are dried up, but dealing with alot of pain now. I am taking zinc, c and magnesium and added D3 and L- lysine ,but only started these for the last week. My doctor has me on gabapentin so I can get some sleeo. My shingles is around my left upper torso around to my left breast.

      I'm so sorry to hear you are suffering. The pain from shingles is nerve related. You could add in supplements to support and help repair the nerves. This may help to reduce the pain. B-complex (a couple times a day, lecithin, fish oil and lavender oil topically would be good choices. With your history of breast cancer you have been through a lot of stress, which weakens the nervous system.
      Noni juice would be very good to help support your immune system as well.

      Mary, I also have same situation as you are. I have finished all of my breast cancer treatment last year. I am 48 years old. Now I got a Shingle for a week. The blisters appears on my left side of my body, it is same side of my breast cancer and still feel painful. I think about to take some supplement to help my immune system.

      Sorry you are going through shingles on top cancer and treatments. I got shingles during my treatments back in 2007, but it wasn't as bad as it was this time. I hope yours will be short lived. I am over the worst of it as of a week ago. Thank God! But am experiencing nerve pain on my left side when I over do, like today raking leaves.
      Ruth Yu i pray 🙏 for complete healing . Take care

    I think one of the reasons I had a mild case of shingles is because I have been low carb/ keto for 2 years prior to my breakout. Lots of red meat, and no processed foods for 2 years

    Thank you so much for this! Im only 22 and I get herpes zoster on my eyes ever since I was a child and I currently have a flare up right now and have been tying to do some research because I’m really tired of dealing with shingles whenever it just feels like popping up. I definitely know my immune system is super crappy. I get allergies allllll the time and sometimes I’ll be sneezing and blowing my nose all day long. I really do believe that shingles are curable naturally by doing what you said, just taking care of my body as a whole. I’m definitely gonna be picking up these herbs and I’m gonna check out your detox video next. Thank you!!!!!! 🙏🏽

      I havent been to the Dr yet and want to improve my immune system naturally. Do u think bentonite clay would be goid to place on sores.

    • @RestoringLight
      @RestoringLight  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry, I missed your comment on my alerts. I don't use bentonite clay alot, it is a little drying so I tend to use it with a "weepy" skin problem. It does have some properties which might help the shingles. If you tried it let me know how it worked. I would probably use aloe vera with some lavender oil in it instead. The aloe is cooling, but mositurizing, and the lavender would help calm the nerves. Hope you have recovered.

    BTW For anyone willing to try, I have used Diatomaceous Earth, DE, as a kind of drying talc on the rash. Seems to work for me. Also, one time I used Windex (yes!) spray 3 X a day. I had heard this is what is recommended as topical treatment for jellyfish stings which have a similar neurologic burning pain sensation. So please try and report back. May be a simple way to curtail the suffering if we can test it out.

      I'm sorry I missed replying to your question. I take 50-100 mg. of zinc daily when my immune system gets run down, usually for 2 weeks. I always take it with food, as it can bother an empty stomach. On a maintenance dose I take 25-30 mg. a day.

    Wonderful video. Battling getting over oral shingles right upper palette and upper and lower side of mouth (teeth). Continued L-lysine is of course the go-to, remedy journey every 4-hours (I always take 4000 mg every 4 hours when in emergency mode). I take all the trace minerals, macro minerals, egg yolk, probiotics, greens, etc. mentioned. When the pain got worse on the third day, I had to resort to Nitetime cold & flu syrup plus 4 aspirin every few hours to put me to sleep so that I could deal by sleeping through the enormous pain. Because I am experienced with my body and what is necessary for me, I was willing to risk. The pain makes you want to die! At night laying parallel keeps the virus pain subdued, after a couple of hours in a.m. the pain begins again for duration of day but not as excruciating as the 2-day/night initiation. Dentist prescribed FIRST mouth wash BLM ($100 copay $30 for me), which I use throughout the day to deaden the topical throbbing and is worth it! It has been 14 days so far (began developing with New Moon in Pisces, Mercury retro (mouth) and hidden remedies the established dental system has no idea about. Thank God I have been studying and applying my alternative herbs and vitamins to my own life since I was 20 (I'm now 70), that has been a great, great blessing in my life!!!!! Thank you for this video of affirmations!!!!!

      I'm so sorry to hear you are suffering like this. Consider adding liquid colloidal silver as a mouth wash a couple times a day. Nature's Sunshine or Silver Biotics have high quality silver in nano particle size. I also just saw that Silver Biotics has silver and manuka honey infused lozenges - these might be soothing for you. Silver reduces inflammation so it often helps with pain.

    • @MasterMetaphysician
      @MasterMetaphysician 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Valarie for your response and your suggestion of colloidal silver and Silver Biotics. I came across Dr. Berg's video on shingles and he recommends 30,000 mcg D3 and 500 mcg Vit K, which I had on hand and it definitely took the pain away. Your video was great and gave wonderful information of which I made a 5x8 index reference card on Shingles, virus and warts, very, very, very helpful. I have integrated the propolis into my daily plan as well. Thank you greatly!!!!

    Hi Valerie, I really enjoyed your video because tod,ay I was diagnosed with Shingles on my arm, I was upset but not shocked as I've been under a lot of stress for the past year. My Dr. was surprised considering that I'm young I've been getting a lot of welts and allergic reactions on my skin since Dec. I made an appointment with a Immunologist already. I think Diet is very important so I want to improve my diet to strength my immune system. Thanks the video. My

      Thank you Afrika, diet is so importnat for keeping our bodies healthy. Supporting stress is equally important. When we internalize stress, it weakens our digestion, so this may be tied into skin reactions a swell. See my video on sinus and digestion as I talk alot about this in the video. th-cam.com/video/x2Pn_cfb5qc/w-d-xo.html

    Zinc depletion from too much sugar, high carb and processed foods. Could alcohol also cause depletion of zinc?

      Good question, yes, alcohol is known to cause depletion of zinc. Zinc deficiency is common with alcoholism and cirrhosis of the liver.

    What about vitamin C?

    • @RestoringLight
      @RestoringLight  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, anytime your immune system is run down it is good to take additional Vitamin C. Typical dose miight be 3000 -5000 mg. daily. The adrenal glands require vitamin C to handle stress, so if you are under high stress, then additional C may be improtant as well.
