i actually cried when thyme was angry cuz it shows how much he loves her, that made him that mad, in his perspective he already thought he lose to Ren n this made him out of control n with the line he said "you will never choose me" this broke me even more i want ppl to watch the show without judging the character but feeling with the character n they will know who thyme really is n feel for him as i did.
Lol if you guys watch the last version of this (Meteor Garden 2018) you'll see how toxic the male lead character is compared to Thyme 😂 But you know, I realized that in this version they address the issues way more "realistically". You can tell that they really paid attention to the details. Honestly, out of all the versions I can say that this is the best, in my own opinion

@@mariamarie9776 2001 Dao Ming Si is the most actually followed by Jun Pyo. Dao Ming Si 2018 and Thyme are the softer version of this character but Thyme is the softest you can get lmao
I agree! This one was the best version out of the ones made. Thyme realizing his mistakes and not resorting back to violence was not really seen in the other versions.
Guys , at 43:10..Thyme was talking about when in that shirt picking scene Thyme tried to ask Ren about what happened in France and why he is sad...you guys just judge him too much...
It's pretty much clear right from the start that he does have anger issues, then why people are complaining here now, he hasn't changed completely...
i love how involve all the f4 is to the story in this version cuz honestly i didnt really felt that in other version
I feel so scared to Thyme in the start of this episode. His anger issues is so scary that if I'm in Gorya's place, I'd definitely break down out of fear. What I love though is that he's starting to realize his mistakes and try to straighten himself up. I just hope this version will make him heal while in a relationship with Gorya, like trying to get help and controlling his issues and Gorya supporting him. This would be more realistic and will never romanticize this kind of people or situation. Also Thyme being toxic is all because of her mom. Just like how Thyme said, ever since he was born, he was pressured and taught that he's the best and that he's special compared to anyone, he's above them all. He also said something like, the more he fear that he will lose everything (power, respect, fear of others) the more he's hungry for power. Tell me, who do you remember with that line? His Mom. She's so scared that her empire will collapse that she got more ruthless and hungry for power and wealth (remember the scene about Tulip Mania). Also, if any of you noticed, Thyme's Mom keep pressuring him about *going back to his old self* while Ren said *turn back from his old self because he's in the right track* . Another thing is, when Thyme said, I want you to accept me (Thyme) not Paramana (or smth like that) is so deep because he knows, he (Thyme) is different to him being a heir of a big empire as being a Paramana turns you into a beast always craving and living for power. It's like he's a different person and he knows it, Thyme being the carefree, innocent young man who's craving for love and warmth and Thyme Paramana who's raised to be a ruthless monster, taught that he's above anyone else. This might be a risky claim but above all versions, this might be the best one, in addressing real life problems at least. They are bringing Thyme's issue into a better light so we can understand where he's coming from, why he's like that and just how toxic and loveless he was raised. This version shows what kind of a mom his mother is, compared to others who only make viewers understand that she's the villain and she's the hindrance to their love but never really show how she affects her son causing him to grew up that way, struggling to control his emotional and mental well being because of too much pressure.

I also find it fitting that F4 beat the crap out of each other in the same place they used to bully others. Then we have Thyme closing the stadium afterwards and cancelling the Red Card once and for all.

This episode was hella intense and thyme at the start scared the shot outta me But the writers did an amazing job for this character. The fist was way yoo much for me butt Overall thyme's anger and frustration was realistic. the writers questioned this character through us. Obviously there no way a person with so many issues would b changes so fast just because of a girl. And also The conversation at the statium where thyme seems to acknowledge why he is like that and why he wants to change bcz he hate himself too when he's drunk with power. Cuz even a girl can't change a guy who isn't willing to change himself if he sees no fault in his actions.
Anyways loved your reactions. The symbolism was also great in this episode. I would also like to mention the Cafe kitsune as kitsune aslo refers to the nine taled fox which in mamy lores are refred to seduction as well i think it was intentional that they put it there.
Plus pigeon being the symbol of love and right in that moment gorya relaizes her feelings for thyme for the frst time as well.
Ahhh This show is just so good and feels so fresh even to someone who's literally watched all the adaptations. I love how they're taking thyme's character and Bright is doing an amazing job.👏🔥 looking forward to your reaction always

I think I'm gonna call them the "F'ed up 4" much more often in the later episodes😂
It's crazy that MJ is a gangster, but he's the most patient, smart, calm and down to earth between all of them. Obviously he would have been done with the bs towards the end😂
One thing that I understood in this episode, is that no matter what we're talking about or what we're going through, our ways could be different from others', so we can't really judge everything in the way we would think normally...
For example the way Ren handled this, might be good in his pov, but might be wrong for others. Someone might think that he's going too far and that messing with Thyme in that way, is only gonna create more of a mess than it already is (I think Thyme would have still told Ren that he loved Gorya, I mean, he told him he was serious, but Ren didn't take him seriously), but maybe someone like Ren, would know his friend the best and could think that his ways are good, because he's making Thyme reflect on what he wants for real and maybe they both needed to vent on someone.
Even if in my opinion Ren didn't really have to do that, it was a good thing at the end, it solved the conflict and it made "F'ed up 4" even stronger than they were before.
Plus Ren did it with the best interest in mind for Thyme, so I liked this part more than in the other versions, because it really shows that he cares...in a twisted way😂
They are all f'ed up at this point, so I'm not surprised about anything.
Dude, you didn't get it ..when Thyme got back to his old violent self in the very first scene , didn't you notice the way Ren was observing Thyme...Ren got to know that Thyme is on wrong track now...
Plus, about Gorya...I believe Ren just wanted to make Gorya realise his true feelings that who has she chosen exactly...in a way Ren tested both Thyme and Gorya...now they both are much more sure and clear about their feelings...
Thyme backed out and almost ready to give up on Gorya that's why Ren provoked Thyme by insulting Gorya...
They all are not at all ideal or perfect characters..they all have their own flaws...
I don't get it that why most of the people instead of understanding them and their perspective lecturing about what should be done by them as if they are so perfect and have done Phd on human behaviour...Man is a puppet of mistakes btw...
@@kanchanprajapati4641 That is exactly what I'm saying...they al have their ways to solve problems or deal with stuff. Good or bad, the important thing is to get to a resolution and this is exactly what happened.
I know all that, but honestly, in my personal opinion, it was a bit of a dangerous way to make Thyme say that he loved Gorya, that's what I mean (also involved MJ and Kevin, when they were just trying to cool them downh)...and Ren already knew Thyme was serious about her, but took for granted that he wasn't, because he never talked to him as much as how Thyme did with MJ and Kevin about Gorya.
When Thyme was "backing up" he oviously didn't mean it, you could read the sarcasm in his voice and face.
I know Ren was testing them, but this is exactly the f'ed up part, but as I said, I can't judge anyone here, because what in my opinion was not the right way, ended up being the only way at this point.
I can't complain...everything was too funny, especially during the fight scene lol

I guess that fight scene wasn't meant to be all serious fight...I mean makers wanted to show some part serious and some not...and it's exactly what is being shown here...
@@kanchanprajapati4641 He was sarcastic in my opinion because what he said wasn't to look cool, but was intended towards Ren, to make him understand that he was holding a grudge against him, that he was angry at him...
Look at Thyme's face while telling Ren "just an ordinary girl, you can have her, she's all yours".
In Ren's pov, Thyme was trying to look cool, but his intention wasn't to look like he didn't care about Gorya, his focus was on the "you can have her" part.
Ren thought Thyme wouldn't have admitted he loved her because he was too proud, while infact, when Ren was away, Thyme expressed to the other F4, how much he cared about her.
Thyme in this moment instead, was clouded by the fact that he thought Ren wanted to steal the girl he loves and this is another misunderstanding between them, because Ren doesn't know that Thyme saw him hugging Gorya on the rooftop.
So Thyme is trying to be like "I don't care about her, I can give up for a friend, she's all yours".
If it was just to look cool what would the point of the fight be?
He could have admitted easily that he loved her as he always did, even without fighting, but he couldn't since it was Ren.
Obviously the fight wasn't meant to be completely serious, we're meant to see it as a way for them to vent all their problems. It's chaotic and at a certain point it makes you laugh because you think "these guys are all idiots, punching each other when they could just talk", but they personally needed this.
For them it's a serious matter because they care about each other and they are friends, even though sometimes they would like to kick each other's butt.
But this is normal...

May be not everyone will agree with me that throughout the drama the thing I saw with Ren is that he cares about everyone but still he's everyone's second priority whether it's mira or gorya and even Kavin and mj though they're friends but when they'll have to choose one among thyme and ren they'll be on thyme's side which always makes me sad
In "Meteor Garden 2018" the character Ren is hella annoying and distrubing. IDK why people's been saying second lead syndrome. I never liked his character
