BOND - JAMES BOND ISLAND, Phang Nga Bay Thailand

Day six and we have travelled from Chumphon to Phang Nga Province, a couple of nights in a hotel close to Phang Nga Bay and a number of Tourist attractions, near by!
Arriving before dark and a look around the nearby town before an early night and early start. First up hiring transport to James Bond Island!
Landing on Khao Phing Kan on the opposite side to J.B. rock than 14 year ago, the new path and view point then was a ramble up the hill side for that impressive snap shot. Maybe it is to prevent the big boats from docking on the Island (decant by canoe) makes the Long Tails Boats a must, they just need a bit of beach! Although the sea was calm there is low visibility in the water, worst I have seen it, not pollution but the sediment from lime stone which I would expect in rainy season and strong winds, all the other islands to follow, crystal clear!
This area (Phang Nga and Krabi) is great for divers and snorkling, not just the Bay the Andaman sea is 30 minutes away and Khao Lak Beach then the Similan Islands over on the national park, absolute paradise and old timers will say what Phuket used to be like. So getting that PADI diving certificate can be made very enjoyable and inexpensive (depending on air fares).
Google maps, invaluable for getting around also for finding accommodation 1,000 in the area and diverts you to web page, I not “we” prefer to turn up have a look around then book, in person or on internet / facebook while having a drink in their cafe!
Note: There is a Mrs James Bond Island, Broccoli is often used in place of Cannabis to get past utube censors, so what does broccoli become. I did not show the super market, good stock great prices and seems very popular with hotels, guest houses and locals, also I tried taking a welding machine on an airplane (Cyprus) It did not go well.
