I saw him with Sonny Rollins once and with Joe Henderson another time. My favourite jazz drummer. For me, he’s the most musical-Max Roach taken to the ultimate level. Every solo has dynamics, variety, and tells an interesting beautiful story. Foster, and Hakim for all around genius and perfection.
