Oppo is a well known all round bad sport, will abort if you open with a bingo, nags all game to abort if losing ,then no plays you. I am surprised he or she has anyone left to play against. Well played David, congrats on 12 years, I was with you on day one :)

For the record the unplayable bingo on the rack following ANISEED, was TONGERS, another unique bingo.
You did nothing wrong, if the opponent really needed to leave for some emergency they could have easily done so. You are under no obligation to void the game whenever they happen to want.
True, In an actual emergency, one would have surely resigned

I quite liked MEH and EDH on the right for a similar score and setting up EDHS, but HM probably right in this case considering the vowel shortage, creating a new bingo lane for opponent without the S (although difficult with no Ds or Ss but still easyish to block), the T at the bottom not being too dangerous without an S and making bingoes more difficult for yourself.
I think PLAYS was the better word choice at the end there and would of prevented the 'comeback' bingo and them going out at the same time. They almost made a remarkable comeback and almost snatched victory. Well play them, and you also, you both had challenging tiles to overcome.
any "comeback" bingo is pretty much inevitable - PLAYS still allows TREMoLO on the triple row. opps last rack was so flexible & the board open enough that any "block" would give back _at least_ 1 in response 🙃
@@ab12c3d4 Good point. I still think it was the "plays." But ultimately the point is moot, as David won on a tough board with a player repeatedly wanting to abort, which must have been quite distracting for him. I appreciate David's principle, or habit as he termed it, of avoiding that as a general rule.

Shaking my head at your opponent continually asking for an abort, yet taking their time to play. Then puts you on No Play list! What an absolute slime.
At 38;40, you didn't comment on "grove" at H1 for the same score as "strong", but keeping the 's'. Did you not see it?This was the second game in the last two weeks where you've had "I" troubles.
I think he was distracted by the fear of a missed bingo during the recap (or whatever you call it when he looks through the possible plays at the end). He only saw the H1 potential in the next move.

Rude opponent. The game was already 15 minutes in when they requested the abort. You clearly weren't agreeing to it and they just kept spamming. If whatever reason they needed to leave the game was so important they could have just forfeited.
Yeah, not sure what was going on there... we can't judge perhaps the neighbours where arguing or the cat threw up?

@@cukka99 Yeah, as I said strange (implied)... but drama aside, at least David won in the end, just... he should of used PLAYS towards the end and won by a lot more.

Doesn't even try to explain the abort request? Keeps requesting an abort even when they're down 100 points? That's some embarrassing bad sportsmanship on rebmob's part. Being on that noplay list is a high honor.
David has chat turned off during games (and for good reason); therefore, opponents can't explain why they are requesting an abort. Regardless, I think it legitimate to grant abort request only to people you know well enough to trust.
I guess it turns back on at the end of the game, I recall seeing some tygg's from opponents. Still cannot fathom what the reason could have been.

Funny indeed. And they devoted two of their ten lines of personal information to explaining how they don't accept "adjourn" requests and how they definitely don't accept them when they are ahead
