I’m still using a Kenmore fridge, GE electric stove and Maytag washer and dryer that came with my condo 21 years ago (No dishwasher, kitchen too small). Never had issues (Besides a minor fix to my washer that my dad fixed). I think a lot of appliances nowadays aren’t made to last as long as old ones, and have a lot of things that seem to crap out. And I’ve heard mostly bad things about Samsung fridges. My appliances may not be energy efficient or stainless steel with bells and whistles, but they do the jobs well and I’m in no hurry to replace. Hope I haven’t jinxed myself and have something die on me now 😆
I agree with you! They don't last as well as the older ones have. Fingers crossed that gets better over time

Yes Costco hands down for sure.
Fridge might not have been leveled properly, that might be why it doesn't stay opened. We buy new when the old one wears out. Right now we have an LG dishwasher that we bought new years ago. It could be replaced, but it is still working fine, so when it breaks down, we will replace it. Love your content and look forward to seeing the price of the furniture.

Please replace your dishwasher. I did not and put the old one on one night. It ran while I was sleeping. The trouble is it called for hot water all night and flooded my floor and ruined my kitchen, my living room and the basement bedroom as well as our electric panel and hot water tank. Needless to say it costs a lot of money, time and effort to replace everything. It is worth it.

Wow, I'm surprised at the Thomasville reviews! I always believed they were one of the top furniture companies. Did you try out the sectional?
I've tried their sectional before and thought it was comfy. I think in general they're a good brand as Costco has carried their furniture for years now

I really like the clear acrylic storage boxes. If they go on sale, I'm going to have to get some!
I also like the Marina Del Rey Night Table. For $300 it's a great piece of furniture. Even the ivory leather chair is beautiful.
I'm actually shocked about the bad reviews on the Thomasville sectional sofa set. That is usually of good quality.
If you are looking to buy a new dishwasher, I recommend getting one with a stainless steel interior, as well as 3 propellers/jets.
The cutlery tray on top is a great feature, plus it leaves more space in the main area for more dishes.
I tend to look for replacing my appliances once they don't function as well. If they start going wonky on me, they will get replaced.
I am really looking forward to seeing your redecorating, reviews, and "life at home" bonus footage.

Hi Marcelle. I hope your week is going great! Thanks for the recommendations for a dishwasher. I'm still holding out until we absolutely need to replace it. Fingers crossed that's no time soon. With renos happening and needing to get furniture for our new space I really don't want to add more to the buy list 😅
@@DEEANDFAM Especially with everything being so expensive now, it's best to wait until it's absolutely necessary. You could still have fun sourcing out a new dishwasher so when the time comes, you'll know exactly what you want and need.
I hope you'll be doing some "before & after" videos about your renos. I love interior design stuff, LOL.

I only replace major appliances if they break and cost too much to repair. I dont think its a good idea to replace major appliances because of aesthetics, not great for the environment
We normally replace when needed and try yo care for them well so they last
Thanks for video! Just a comment on that Thomasville sectional that one person in store gave bad review on, I looked online and it gets 4.4 out of 5 stars on 581 reviews. Always check for multiple reviews first before making decision to buy or not.

I bought my samsung stove from Costco . While I am absolutely NOT a fan of the smooth top the stove itself works great. Thanks again for giving me another reason to go check out my costco. I just had to get a new furnace/ac so spending is limited 😂
Oh no, a new furnace and ac is very expensive. I'm sorry you had that extra expense this month.
We also have a Samsung flat top stove and I really love how easy it it to clean the glass top. I am not the best at cleaning the oven regularly though. I need to add that to my to-do list this month 😅
I’m redoing our living room. Got the new tv and wall mount. My daughters bought me new decor for Christmas. I’m on the hunt for small sectional with chassis. Plus hubby wants a comfy cozy lazy boy type chair. I think I will reuse my coffee table but will need end table not sure if I will do 2. But it’s a project in progress.

I was told price adjustment on food 14 days, 30 days for other things.
It's 30days for everything but sometimes they'll tell you things that may not be as accurate
Hi Dee and Fam❤❤…I am also looking for hiking shoes but I’m gonna wait for it to be cheaper…I replace my appliances when they are done done …I have a dishwasher but I never even used it ounce…. I bought my sectional at Leon’s sectional called Anastasia I have it for 5 years and looks new, I recommend ❤💕
Hi Veronika! I hope we get the sale we are looking for. We also replace our appliances as needed and tend to replace sets whenever we need to also.

Walmart is a different ball game compared to Costco. I'm not as knowledgeable on Walmart policies compared to Costco's policies and in general prefer Costco over Walmart hands down 😆

I have that transformer dining table/bench but I bought it from a different company a year or so ago and that costco price is excellent....I paid almost $3000.......it goes from about 18 inches to I think 16 or 18 feet and the bench expands as well. I bought the dark brown wood (mahogany) and love it and it is something that will go with me where ever I move.
I love the Transformer Table! And it's great to hear at Costco the price is better. It's nice to see they have several colour options to choose from now 😀

Wrong,misinformation on Ikea plant 🪴 pots 15 cm is from $3.99.
I disagree. Only the very small pots at Ikea in Canada are sold at that price. Costco's pots are WAY bigger!
