I know it's " rare tetra" but 15 or so of those black serpae tetras would really pop in this too .. I think they call them black phantom tertas..tetras... there are some that have been line bred to have darker longer fins and more blue... juatca though..Cheers!

When I first read your comment I hadn't watched the video yet, and I thought you meant it in a way that Amazon, the company, would pay him to do a video series on building fish tanks and you'd watch it; as would I. Which than I thought they definitely should since the items to build the tanks can be purchased on Amazon. AMAZON ARE YOU LISTENING?!
I’d love to watch you guys do an Amazon series, it could be pricey but you could ship some fish back with you and make a scape similar to where they were found. Might be unrealistic but I think would make great content.

I love this scape. It looks amazing with the different types of tetra, and the lack of stems really makes it feel like a river bed you’d find in the amazon. Great video

You two working together works really well. The aesthetic feel for design by MD combined with Matt pushing to keep it natural has resulted in three stunning tanks already; the African tank, the Amazon discus tank and now this one. Keep it up guys. One tip: maybe nice to also mention the scientific names of the fish which should be interesting for the more serious fish keeper.
A name is a name is a name. The name is just made up in the end and that is why many fish have several different names from different parts of the world.

It's not really my thing buddy. I like more rough and natural look with low tech. That isnt really what the comp seems to be about. Love the scape in the contest, just not something I'd be interested in doing.

Matt, your aquarium will be stunning!!! I have to tell you, however, that when your dals barreled in I started crying. They are absolutely gorgeous. Both “hand painted” for sure. Dals are my favorite dogs. I cried because I never see any around anymore, and mine has been gone for years now. What memories…..my sons named ours Rogue after the super hero with black and white hair. I have had soooo many dogs over the years, Roguie was my favorite. If only they didn’t shed…well they are still worth it. Enjoy them for me, too. They look so well loved. Mine smiled so hugely sometimes people were afraid she was snarling. Ha. She never ever snarled even once. Enjoy that gorgeous tank!!! Best dog ever.

No! The rainy season is a mess.
Everything floods and is muddy. The rivers and streams lose their banks. The wildlife hides away.
You will be miserable, permanently damp and see nothing (you won’t even get nice fruit to eat and it is much harder to rent boats, etc).
I used to live in South America and was in the Amazon many times (Brazil, Peru, Colombia, etc).
I can’t wait to see you both there, though.
