This is exactly the type of art I need for my home! I've never painted but I want so much to recreate this painting. Your work looks so effortless, but I'm sure it's gonna be challenging for me. I know I'll need to drink a bottle of champagne to fight the fear, get creative and stop questioning my skills (or lack of them) 😆
Fr starting a painting is always the hardest part but once your in that flow it’s so therapeutic

I like how you build a very soft background to start. Most people don't think of this in this type of style, but it makes the painting since you don't have to cover an area later for white areas. Congrats!

Your painting techniques teaches many things, one of those things is that I have to start somewhere, and let others fucus on finding the meaning, and start having fun without worrying too much, it should be all about having fun.

My 3 year old grandaughter does this twice a week at nursery.
Hers though are much more structured and bi-linear, interspersed with moments of spontaneous mood changes ranging from the ethereal to the subliminal .
She can really slap that paint about !
even-though I don't really like that type of art I do like your technique and use of color.

Every time I think you’re done, bang! Another color added to the mix! Each time I hold my breath to see what else you’re going to do, and each time I am amazed. I’ve been following you for a few months, and I love your videos. A couple I’ve seen more than once. Question, do you preplan what you’re going to do or do you just slap on paint without thinking about it? I love your style, and it’s kind of the way I like to do it, but then I overdo it...I start thinking. Once I start thinking, I have a disaster. The smears, the loopy lines, the writing, oh my! Wonderful.
That's the principle. Don't fear that if you add another little thing it'll ruin it. Remember: there'e no neighbourhood without a house.
This painting has a masculine feel to it. Really love that because I have trouble with creating masculine paintings. This helps alot.

Onceagain. Because a man would choose this for his wall before he would choose pinks and purple flowers....or florals. The colors and linear lines make it favorable to a man OR a woman .....not just woman.

You make everything look effortless! Is it a light touch on the squeegie? Also, I can see this pattern as fabric for home furnishings! Like a nice upholstered chair with a black lacquer frame!

I got my squeegie and I'm looking forward to trying this. Are you letting the colors dry before going over it with another color? I just love when you add either bright red or turquoise bc the painting then seems to come alive!

Я из России. У нас такие же "картины" возле каждого подъезда висят. Они называются досками объявлений. Тоже все крашеные - перекрашенные, размалёванные маркерами. С висящими, наполовину ободранными бумажками, объявлениями, различными рекламами. Со следами от клея, эпоксидной смолы и всякой другой грязи. У нас в России прям то же самое. Абсолютно. Точь в точь. Иногда даже по интересней)

You're work is amazing and I'm thrilled honestly, such grace. What advice do you have for a 50 something female with no training at all in the arts but who enjoys art and colour. I know very little about technique but have enjoyed immensely what I do
Appreciate the color work, but I don't understand the craze with the 19th century cursive script that's in so many abstract works these days. Any thoughts? Honest question -- not trolling
I'm with you on this one. The cursive script ruined an amazing painting... in my taste.
Don't like that and all the straight linear stuff. Lots of good technique I can apply to what I do (which is STUCK at the moment) but going looser in large areas would, I think, make this stronger, edgier. I need to go looser, too.

I wish I had a painting by Chester Stone his art is pretty amazing its completely different from anything I've ever seen! There's only a handful of his paintings floating around in the world but his art will be the next I gotta have hanging on my wall..

@@mounalouhichi7043 He's using many different techniques; wet on wet, squeegee, handwriting script, etc. It's the mix of techniques, forms, and colors that make his work so wonderful.
