just subbed, this video is helping me understand what mounts and parts to get. I'm going to be mounting an action 3 to my motorcycle so i'm trying to find the best way to mount it without using a helmet mount
I use the Ulanzi GP-4 and also got the GP-11 which has the GoPro feet. It’s been really easy to move between the various tripods, swivel clips and suctions mounts. Sometimes I have the GoPro 10 and Max 360 with me and this makes it easy to swap cameras between mounts. I considered the snap mount but I would have had to buy multiple sets to cover the different tripods, etc. so it would have gotten expensive really fast.
I decided on the Ulanzi Claw after trying the GP plastic version. I didn't like it, because you can twist it off without pressing the release button. This may be a quality control issue, but I didn't feel comfy trusting a $400 Camaro to it. Thanks for your helpful videos!
Personally, I find the Falcam F22 system to be a near perfect combination of weight and flexibility. It is going to be more expensive than the cheapest options you reviewed, but not super expensive either. And it has as comprehensive set of options as any QR system I’ve seen.
GoPro Rookie here 👋 I apologize in advance for these noob questions. In regards to the Ulanzi Claw, I assume I will need a claw base for each mount to make it most efficient/quick? I guess I could purchase one claw and depending on project or video, switch the claw base to the mount I will be using. The only issue with this is I am looking to do a majority videos POV and then switch to selfie and back. Any tips would be appreciated.
Ulanzi really get what people love and hate with all these new lightweight action and cinema cameras. I bought ton of their things yestersay for my new hero11 and sony a7siii
I’m confused because I clicked on the ulanzi quick release because I thought you could put it on any go pro mount like you said… but it has to go on an ulanzi mount it says in the listing
You don't mention the dji action 3, My action 3 is no good and I can't send it back. I bought the adventure pack from dji. If I buy the GoPro 11 what quick release would work the best for me, so I don't have to put all the parts I got from Dji in the corner and have to start all over again. In one of your videos, you show out of focus issue, so you know how much came with that, and I bought allot of extras as well like a suction cup for the windshield, and a magnet for the action 3, so what would be a solution. Please answer and describe the right link on my email. Its on my youtube channel. I really learned allot getting into action cameras watching your channel. I never knew about the focus issue until you brought it to my attention. Thank you for that. Then thats all I been seeing on youtube is this focus issue. So now I believe it and see it myself, and blow outs on bright areas. So what good is the Action 3? I guess I will have to use this camera for fish bait, I can't use it for a boat anchor. I hope you have time for me. Please respond!🤣🤣🤣
Ive been using the ulanzi gp 16 for a few months now and I absolutely love it. And it’s a fraction of the price compared to the snap mounts. While I don’t have the snap mounts myself, I can’t see it being THAT much more value for the price
@@Gemini_Connect can you pls make a review for osmo action 3 with rode wireless go? I know theres still no cage available with cold shoe mount, diy method would be😂. It seems interesting i think, coz many creator would like to know its audio quality
I haven't-- hard to keep up with all of their quick releases, lol. I chose the Claw because it has a backpack clip, while the Hummingbird doesn't, but it does look really good.
I didn’t have it when I made this video, but I do now. Caplock is great if you buy into the PGYTECH system - their mounts are solid and reasonably priced IMO. The only thing is I wish the Caplock mounting piece wasn’t dependent on an Allen Key, because there’s nowhere to store it on any of their mounts and I usually don’t have one with me.

What about the DJI magnetic mount? Ulanzi makes various bases and different seller that make the plate so you can screw it in a tripod thread.

I like the Claw for it's backpack mount, but the Hummingbird does seem smaller.

I am looking for a metal/aluminum quick release buckle go pro base and have a hard time looking for one.

Could you test Snap Mounts against Ulanzi GP-16? It seems almost identical, but I wonder about magnets strength.

Yeah, same is true for the Insta360 X3. The cages are on pre-order, but not shipping yet.
