Then you will understand what is happening here. Hunting waterfowl is controlled by the Federal and State governments based on educated principles of conservation rather than emotional reactions.

It is better not to overdo the hunting of birds because this deprives us of looking at these beautiful birds and their breeding and harming the environment. Supervision is required. We are not hungry.
This is not hunting this is a massacre besides these guy are hunting with extended chamber shot capacity which is a illegal i know there native but those that make it right not in my eyes that's why there should be rules for everybody the same this is not cool if people think its cool then they should get there head examen i've been hunting for over 40 years never seen such disregard for other hunters that do follow the rules and the laws not a big fan of natives using there power over common sense and don't tell me were killing for are people that cannot do it any more right !!!!
I dont know who they are or where they are, but where I am, and I am guessing in most of the US, at least in the Central and Mississippi flyways, the COLG season (conservation order light goose season) that starts mid February here in OK after the regular season, you are legal. There is no 3 shell limit, you can use electronic callers, there are no daily limits, and you can hunt up to 1/2 hour after sunset. The purpose, and the COLG season started in 1999, is to allow hunters to thin the North American herd from say 15million to 3 million, (they seem to have stabilized at 15 million because of nature allowing fewer young hatched per adult) because the habitat up north can not sustain a population that large. They are destroying the tundra with their grubbing/rooting style of feeding. The alternatives are poisoning, egg harvesting, or natural death by disease. Even with the liberal regulations, the hunters have not even come close to keeping pace with the burgeoning population for the last 10 years or so. I have been hunting them for 30 years and grilled snow goose brushed with Lawrys and butter tastes about like steak. I think large kills like this are made into jerky and distributed locally, most likely, to groups who supply food to the less fortunate.
