    You actually put quite a bit of effort into your videos brother. Kudos. Back when I did landscaping for 10+ hours a day, six day a week, this would have been the bees knees. Not bad at all.

    I have seen them used for trail maintenance and guys building steps or paths on steep slopes. it looks like a simple blade or plow attachment would make a lot of sense to haul a load of gravel and be able to spread it with the same machine.

    The overall package is massive compared to the amount of actual wheelbarrow volume.

      Yup, the hopper on this is 4.4 cu ft. The average wheelbarrow is 6 cu ft!!!

    I put the turf tires on. You don't need to buy any lug nuts you can just use the ones that are on there. Currently making walls for the wheelbarrow so it can hold more because I do alot of mulch work and going to see how practical and useful it is to use for landscaping work this summer.

    Man. I just built an electric one with nearly the same wheel base(thinner to get on a front door) and other lifting specs.
    Although mine dumps itself, also acts as a lift table, is equipped to move trailers with a hitch, tow any implements for a lawn tractor, and even has a front loader/dolly/fork/ lift front end with two points of articulation.
    It also pobably runs longer on one charge then 4+ tanks of fuel when actually being used with full loads.
    Not to mention is controllable with one finger.
    After my next spine fuse I’ll buy a beefy enough drive control it will all be radio control in addition to the cabled controller.
    I built a crane thing for another attachment so I can lift awkward sbc’s but I think that will end up being attached to my work bench.
    I’ll have maybe $200 into it after I buy that fancy drive control for about $180.

  • @volvo09
    @volvo09 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    this will be super handy for a farmer or anyone with lots of rough property that constantly needs to bring heavy items back and forth (water runs). loaded down i bet it would pull a pretty decent load too. i would use it for moving and bucking logs out in the woods where you cant fit a truck, or the terrain is too rough for a mower and trailer.

  • @GermanToolReviews

    I don't see it replacing the common wheelbarrow considering humans have been using them for over 1800 years, but it could have it uses for very rough terrain. We have all been pushing a loaded wheelbarrow that hits a hole, and then newton's 1st law takes over with all that inertia.

    • @PK-uh9or
      @PK-uh9or 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, it comes crated and you have to bolt on the wheels, handle bars and fill the motor oil. The bucket is also comes un-attached but that’s just 2 cotter pins.

    It needs joystick controls like drone aircraft have so you can just walk beside or behind it. I'm putting fill into A pole building and there is no room for A tractor and wagon to turn around and backing out is A pain. I'm going to call around and see if I can find one at an equipment rental.

      Tony M looks like any old generic Chinese honda clone to me judging by the on/off switches used, the recoil starter and even the carb choke and fuel setup. The only difference being that this has a Briggs and stratton sticker on it. It even has the same displacement as any other 6.5 hp 208cc honda clone.

    Great review but there is no such thing as a "wide wheelbase". Wheelbase is the distance between front and rear axles. When you are talking about the distance between the wheels from side to side then you mean track width.

    A heavy duty cart that attaches to a riding mower is $400 and can carry the same if not more. Better value if you own a riding tractor. If not then i guess itd make sense to someone

    • @RealToolReviews

      This has a much smaller footprint, so narrow gates/small yards/avoiding landscaping is a big advantage. But yes, with more land & an available tractor….a dump cart would be more ideal.

    So the steering seems abrupt with this. Either it's going straight ahead, or you're pulling one of those "brake levers" and either the left-side or right-side wheels stops turning completely. Have I got that right?

    • @RealToolReviews

    It would have been helpful to see what uphill grade it could take fully loaded (15-45 degrees). I mowed lawns for 30 years; I would never go forward when loading my big mower into my truck bed. Load equipment in reverse (backwards) when loading into truck bed. That way, when you unload machine, you can go forward. For safety reasons, you NEVER want to be in front of the equipment you are loading or unloading.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      The secret is to push the engage lever (on the handle) down and release….. then try shifting again. If you ever have a problem getting it to shift…. Engage/release/try again…. It will shift with ease.

    I'm just curios what happens to all the tools you review? I know from having ran a computer hardware review site that there are a large portion of items that are sent to reviewers, that are allowed to keep. So what is the skinny with reviewed items here?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends......about 50% of the time the tools featured were bought by us (since most companies aren't interested in featuring items that aren't the newest things they are focused on). Some are on loan with a temporary basis, rentals, or product samples. Here is our FTC disclosure on the subject --- www.realtoolreviews.com/disclosure/

    So the point of this wheelbarrow is to carry loads that are heavy without straining yourself, but you still have to manually dump the bed? You would think for this kind of money they could make the hopper dump via engine power.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the hinge location, the "strain" is minimal.....the only time it took any effort on my end was with the 660lb max capacity test. The have a hydraulic dump bed on one of the larger models --- and it hauls almost twice this much weight.

      It doesnt have a hitch (currently), but I am thinking about making one so I can pull around trailers with it.

    I'd be more inclined to back it up the ramps and drive it out forward to stay out of harms way.
