My grandma just passed away but she was old as dirt and HATED electronic music. I put this song on for her and she said it kept making her move her body, tap her foot and it made her so happy inside. Thank you Todd for this track I will always have that moment with my grandma.
The synth lead puts something in me that's hard to describe, almost like it contains the energy of life itself. It's beautiful, hopeful and emotional. I want to dance.
can you feel this guy's despair? his father's sick, he's stuck in his village, he cooks drugs to forget how shitty his situation is. Then music gives him an outlet. And remember no matter how you dance, for as long as you feel the groove, that's fine !!
Oh this song was inescapable in nightclubs for a few years. Not that I'm complaining. Anywhere that played techno/tech-house/electro-house/disco, you could be guaranteed to hear it and people went OFF every time, it was glorious
@@fantabulous_unicorncoachin338 He was the second night headliner at a camping festival here in Australia and having a crowd of 15,000 people 'singing' along to that iconic synth in a lush little pocket of bushland lit up all neon and rainbow was some otherworldly magic. Pey Tron This made my day. Doing this now. Thank you for the reason to get up off my ass and dance like nobody's watching. Next to an open, ground floor window with no curtains.F*ck it. If Pey and I can do it, so can you. Let it all out. Go nuts!
This video has it all. Amazing track to dance to, one of the best IMO. Combined with the mockumentary, a story of a guy stuck in a rut that's his life. His story gives a strong contrast to the song's catchy, bright, and hopeful tone. I got teary eyes the first time I watched this, and now that I come back to it, still is.
When I saw him live last week, I had one of the most amazing experience of my life. I wasn't sober at all and the club was absolutely packed, however that night was magical. It was like when this song came on, everybody just started dancing like crazy. It was beautiful, beyond beautiful honestly.
justfetus you can! Just catch him whenever he performs live and do 1/8 of shrooms lol haha Hey, but on a serious note if you're around NYC in July you should come thru to his show at Terminal 5. I believe he's bringing his whole orchestra. I'm gonna be going with a bunch of friends! p.s. IT'S ALL AGES!!! ayyy
Fèlix funnily enough, I already have tickets to the show in NYC, and am very excited. Unfortunately, crowds nowadays are boring as fuck and don't seem to want to dance or show much enthusiasm which is a damn shame. This is coming from someone who goes to many many concerts including dancey stuff. Also funnily enough, I enjoy shrooms. I won't be doing them for this show but shit I guess that explains your experience. P.S. All ages sucks. Although the younger kids are more likely to dance, meh.
So this song I've shared with family and friends and they just don't seem to understand how this is one of the best dance songs and dance I've ever come across his live performance of this song is amazing as well and I just wanted to mention how this song has gotten me through a lot thanks Todd Terje!
I understand mate. Same thing here exactly with a tune by The Comet is Coming - Summon the Fire: th-cam.com/video/5E4QndyyxPw/w-d-xo.html The 2023 Glasto version is even better. I absolutely LOVE it but my family (who have excellent musical taste) don't seem to share my passion. They love Terje tho :D
Holy shit this dancing is perfect. Seriously, more people in clubs should do this, and not just jump up and down like twigs. He's got the most simple catchy dance moves I've seen in years.
i just heard this in a television commercial here in usa for 'budget razors' - "whaddya want for a few bucks? lobster" - pretty funny commercial and then........................i got to hear this!!!!!!!!! AWESOME! recognized it instantly!! Go Terje!! (love you bryan ferry)
Someone shared this on a music thread on 420chan back in 2013 and I still come back to it. Saw Todd live in 2015. Did a light dose of mushrooms. Incredible performance.

after relying on this track for many years, and on'y seeing this video for the first time today, I can confirm the interpretation to video is spookily accurate - almost identical to what played in my mind all these years - salute. much respect and thanks.
I'm gonna be deadass honest, do this day nothing gets close to how the "drop" at 2:15 makes me feel. no matter what situation or mood i'm in, this part always makes me feel super spacy and like everything is alright!
I am the female version of this guy. 51 years old, isolated, and dancing through it. Danced to James Mile "White Lies" like an asshole in front of the condo neighbors just yesterday. This video brought me much joy - not the only FREAK in this world!
Haha this was me for a full month after the discovery of this sick ass track!!! Anyone who didn't cook and act like this after listening to this track is not normal.
Love the song, love the music video. It reminds me of the movie Nói albinói, about a young man in Iceland who is stuck in his tiny hometown. If this music video was a whole movie I'd watch it for sure.
