Q. Why isn’t ‘Off to the Vet’ available in full on TH-cam?
A. ‘Off to the Vet’ film production and crowdfunding campaign was a huge undertaking for the Simon’s Cat Team. Our hope is to produce more long form, full colour content for our fans but without having to turn to them through crowdfunding again. The film was completed in 2015 and submitted it to a selection of international film festivals over the following months. During this time, it was exclusively available to all funders that contributed via our private production blog. The feedback we have received from our funders has been overwhelming positive and we hope they are extremely proud of making the film a possibility. Q. What software do you use?
A. Simon's Cat is made using Adobe Flash / TV Paint / CelAction animation software.
Q. Why does it take so long to make each Simon's Cat film?
A. Even though the films are made on computer software, they are still hand-animated in a traditional manner, frame to frame. It usually takes between 12 and 25 drawings to create 1 second of a Simon's Cat film.

I love how they call him a "sell out" when someone who is spending all of his time and energy creating beautiful content tries to make some money out of it, but if he takes too long to publish a video (which is free) people start raging and demanding like if they were paying for it.

Jesus christ people, it's a free game, You don't have to download it. It's an option for people who like Simon's Cat AND games like candy crush. Chill out.
These "free" games make many Millions of Dollars per year by tricking people into spending money. Many are basically unregulated slot machines. And, yes, it is sad to see a great brand like Simon's Cat getting into this. I don't know if I've ever downvoted a TH-cam video in my life, but now I did.
Well, does it have micro transactions in it, because if so, it's just gonna be another one of Jan Tißler's examples.

"Tricking" huh? Sounds like: "Oh no, it said it's free but instead the game sneaked inside my wallet and took all my money when I was not looking at it." Yeah, makes sense.
Every bit of money spent on a game, no matter if paid normally, or through microtransactions is always a matter of customer's will. The game alone cannot trick You into anything. It cannot pop a message that says "Oops, You just bought a premium account, have fun, lel". You have to make a conscious choice to spend money on anything. And Ads? Guess what, the game has to have some sort of income to sustain itself to guarantee updates, fixes and stuff like that. It cannot survive based on wishful thinking.
Also, it's so scary for a brand You enjoy to earn money through many different sources, right? You don't like this idea, cool, You can just pass by it and live Your life however You want. It's really that simple.
You know why Casinos are regulated and are also only allowed in certain areas? Because they trick people out of their money and some of these people even get so addicted that they need help. These "free" apps use the very same mechanics as slot machines do. Look it up and read some about it if you want. It's interesting. Afterwards you might wonder why these "free" apps are even allowed in this form today. And, yes, I still think it's sad that Simon's Cat goes this route. And I commented on that... in the comments... that are meant for commenting.
But the funniest thing is, how you tell people to just ignore this game, but you can't just ignore their comments :D Can you see your own contradiction? If it's so important to you that other people don't comment on stuff they don't like, why do you keep commenting on stuff that you don't like? Go first and ignore my comments and everyone else's. I'm pretty sure you can't :D And now you know why some people comment negatively on this "free" game: Because they just want to express their opinion. End of story. Credits roll.

Awe I love it!
Despite some of the negative comments I tried the game out and I think it's a lot of fun! I love seeing all the characters in the game and the crow animations when you earn different star levels and the way the game board changes as you move up the levels. Well done to the developers :)

What's with all the negative feedback? I rarely play games on my phone but I LOVE simons cat so I decided to give it a shot! I am addicted to it and I think it's cute that you can save the cats by "feeding them". I've never played candy crush. I actually like this game. :)

It's a cute game. I like the animations and colored backgrounds and of course the cats. It isn't a big challenge for adults but it passes the time nicely during a commute. There are 400 levels with more to come. Well done Simon!

Damn, you were quick on delivering the game. You didn't even slow the video production. Because I know a TH-cam channel or two that literally STOPPED doing videos to dedicate all their attention to a game or movie they want to make, but your team was able to keep the flow regular and come up with this lovely-looking game.
