Kinda of a hot take but, personally, I love magnifying glass on Scraps as someone who mains her (If you wanna do an extraction build on her), it got me to be better at skillchecks in the game and now I barely miss them unless it's because of lag or lag spike, it's also very rewarding too, makes you complete machines MUCH quicker than usual. If you don't possess the level of skill to hit the skill checks, there's still plenty more options for you to choose from, so it's not the end of the world! As for survivalist Scraps build, I think I only ever played FOUR matches with those builds (despite her being a SURVIVALIST), but they're good too if you have a good team and you want to make sure you last longer than usual, I recommend getting some of the trinkets in the video, but also speedy shoes, since speedy shoes paired with pink bow makes you SO much faster, the difference is very obvious once you play Scraps with no speed trinkets and then play Scraps with speed trinkets. As for extraction trinkets (or misc trinkets) AND speed trinkets, I mostly use mag glass and pink bow, but the ones in the video are also very helpful if you're STILL getting trinkets and don't want to buy too much from dandy's shop because you're saving up for a toon (probably Goob), these builds are also very good If you want to support your team/go through floors better and still have a better chance at surviving, I totally recommend starting out with this build and then when you get better trinkets, change to one of the playstyles I mentioned. If you already have all the trinkets/VERY good trinkets, I recommend VeeMote + Pink bow / any misc trinket + any speed trinket you'd like. Everything comes to personal preference!. As for her ability, you can just use it to escort yourself to the elevator, but I love using it to escort myself through the map and getting to places quicker than usual, since the cooldown of her ability is short (30 seconds or 27, it may not seem that low at first, but once you actively use her ability, you'll know that it is kinda fast). You can also use her ability to escape chases, at the cost of maybe putting someone else in danger too, so I suggest you only use your ability on someone with good speed stats and make sure they didn't get chased much before, I also recommend you to warn them to watch out because I accidentally got a vintage Sprout killed on a blackout because I didn't tell him I was being chased and used my ability to try and escort myself to safety (Communication is key, remember that people). You can get as creative as you want with her ability's use, but make sure to not use it too much or at all when only one machine remains so you can have her ability to escort yourself to the elevator. Overall, Scraps is pretty... Okay for a survivalist/backup extractor, her stats bring her down and her ability is team reliant just for it to only help herself, which is why people dislike her, but, you NEED to play her to get Goob after all, but... I use more than any character because she's simply quite fun, you can get creative with your ability for multiple situations (EX: A Twisted is chasing me and I'm on an experienced team, I should call out to sprout the back up distractor to come support me so he can distract until pebbles arrives, I'll use my ability to escort myself from the danger and then go find a machine/Regen stamina!), Scraps is a fun character, good design (pancake head), amazing personality, but her stats bring her down by a lot, honestly, they should buff Scraps, because everyone mostly just uses her to get Goob because she herself is... A very okay toon. I hope your guide helps people use her better, this comment is just MY tastes and preferences, I'm not saying it's better, I'm simply exchanging my playstyle/builds for her, maybe someone will like it, who knows? Pretty good video by the way! Good job!
i prefer being scraps (and glisten but i like scraps more cuz stamina) and i usually just use more walkspeed-focused trinkets since her stamina will take a while to regen without protein bars or chocolate bars
@@hmmbutwhatif Yeah, that's another problem with her, stamina takes long to Regen, so if you're Scraps, waiting for your stamina to reach max can be tedious, which is why I mostly use running trinkets, since that way, I need to spend less stamina running away from twisteds/going somewhere else (also DO NOT waste more than a quarter of your stamina going from place to place, you might not have it when you need it the most), but your walkspeed trinkets also help a lot too! I tried it out once, it's also very solid!
I’m not gonna lie, Scraps is my absolute favorite toon. So, when the eventual realization of my first match playing her and moving at the speed of molasses pained me. I really think that they should expand on crafty grapple though. Maybe having the ability to grab onto machines. For me personally, I really would enjoy Scraps in a more stunner role. We’ve never gotten a toon that could actively stun/block twisteds. So I made it function two different ways. (I’d also like to add that this’ll probably showcase her character a lot more than just a few lines of dialogue.) Crafty grapple could bring her to a toon or twisted (white highlight for toon, red highlight for twisteds) She’s an older sister, she teaches kids to be creative and resourceful, and she’s very lucky! Using what she’s given and what she has and using it to protection her fellow toons to give them peace of mind is exactly what the ability can portray. But also given her current circumstances, and tying in with her cat-like inspiration(and possibly instincts) she’d prioritize self preservation(since cats are often portrayed as independent). I was originally just going to change the entirety of Grapple to the twisted idea, but I feel like it would be throwing away the idea of having that option to help yourself and her original role as a survivalist. I’m hoping this made sense to anyone that’s remotely interested about her as a character, but I just thought that this would be nice to share! :D
use a stamina trinket (friendship bracelet or speedometer) if your planning to run a lot, then either participation award or magnifying glass (or both of them together). use your ability on toons with low extraction speed on a machine or on a machine in general learn how to kite goob/scraps if you can
