What i like about Sinner in compare to many young players like Alcaraz, Rune etc. his reaction to winning points is quite mature. Wins a point, wins a match and doeas not overthrow or yells like spoiled kid looking for approval from his trainers coach or th public at every point. He is stable with his game, his attitudes and his character. He has a true champions phycology even at his very age.

The score doesn't show how hard the match was and how close the two players were: Khachanov makes practically no unforced errors (and today was no exception), hits hard, hits deep, runs fast and has good solutions. In order to secure the match, Sinner had to play hits from an other league... his tennis is getting better and better: really impressing 😳
to me it seemed that Khachanov actually lacked depth in his strokes, giving Sinner plenty of chances to impose his will

Less then 50% first serve for about the 80% of the entire match from jannick , great performance from the Russian who played with no fear against his opponent finding his best tennis … but still a remarkable 3-0 from the italian. To be honest Sinner is the only player Alcaraz really suffers.

Sinner vs Alcaraz is always 50/50, with Carlos better on clay and Jannik on hard surfaces.

I laughed out loud at some points, the sheer power and precision of Sinner is ridiculous. Next opponent will be a tad more difficult but Kachanov was already a good test, no breaks conceded, broke 4 times in three sets and no tie breaks. Commanding win

People have no clue how good Sinner is right now. Novak wouldn't have played 3 sets against Kachanov. It would've at least been 4/5 Sets. Sinner is truly the definition of the next gen player. INSANE player of both wings. He is the best player in the world right now and will be the future number 1 and GS winner who dominates the next era imo. The only problem I see where Sinner can lose is when he loses confidence in his strokes, especially on the forehand side. Then the forehand gets a bit shaky and everything can fall apart. That will however improve the more he plays and the more confident he gets. But otherwise he is the best player in the world, and it's not even close imo.

I'm really charmed by the way he's playing, I'm french and so I don't like when other europeans are better than us, but I've got to say : "wow". This morning I had a match that unfortunately I losed, and when I got back, I just wanted to see good tennis, and right now I'm thrilled, thank to you Jannik and Karen for this marvelous game, and I can't wait to see the following matches. The only one who can maybe challenge the cyborg! Magnificent performance again by Sinner. Karen can't play better than that (maybe 8-10 points in the whole match he could do better, but that's normal) and still couldn't snatch a set off Jannik. It's the difference in potential. Novak and Sinner are in a league of their own atm! With Novak still being ahead ofc. He was scary against Adrian!
Sinner beat a fitter Baez with almost the same scoreline. Still very impressive win by Djokovic though.
@@fwvw7056 It's not the scoreline! It's the fact that the man just couldn't miss! Especially in the first set. Mannarino was actually playing well. And it was nothing to Novak, who still improves at almost 37. That's the scary part. His slices, his volleys, his angles, the depth in his shots are better than ever. And physically he hasn't deterriorated that much! Still in prime. Unreal...
@@jay_kulinaneah, Novak is past his prime. He is just better at tactics and players like Mannarino have to answer to that. Also Novak like to take rhytm away from opponets so it was a perfect match up for him

I think Sinner is ready for his first grand slam. In terms of skills there is no one better than him right now. But tennis at this level is most of all a mental game. If he keeps his nerves, he can and will beat both Nole and Carlitos.

This was a much tougher match than the results would suggest.
Sinner struggled quite a bit, especially with his 1st serve.
Good that he still managed to win, but he needs to get back to his level, as his next opponents may not be very forgiving.
