A suggestion, since you invested in some shelves in the smaller dog run, think about buying some more of them for the big run.. They come with different numbers of shelves. They should hold your totes even if you have to put them sideways. Takes up less space than the chairs! And they are fully adjustable and strong. What you bought holds much less.
Hi Robbie! Love this idea. I purchased a 10L×20W×6.5H Chicken Coop instead of a dog kennel. You get more space at a cheaper price. Thanks for giving me the idea.
Hi Robbie, I bought several and put up the kennel so it is double wide. We had to change the roof tarp set up but it works great, I used cattle panels for an arched roof. I also made a standard wide U shaped set up. Keeps the deer from eating all my food.
Nature is eating anything I have not covered. Something ate my tickseed flowers in a pot that was uo 3 ft. I am the only one that the critters come to for dinner. No one else grows anything new that they like!
As long as the rhizomes are okay, the plant should grow back. Obviously, they ate the flowers for food. Here in USA, as we go into winter birds and other critters are desperately looking for winter food. So sorry, maybe you can tulle the pot base incase it was rodents 😮
I was thinking that the kennel would make a nice safe place to feed the birds. I have too many feral cats in my yard. I was going to post this comment a while ago, but now that you hinted at it, maybe you’re thinking the same thing?
Oh Yes, I have been thinking of this since I feed birds in large cages. I told Gary today I may get a dog kennel to set up in the bird garden a 6’ or 8’ one, so I can put plants in there have it covered for the birds to be out of the rain and no hawks and I think doves won’t be able to get in there. This would be a bird haven, maybe even a bird nest box on one side for fun, this could be beautiful ❤ Great minds think Alike 😊❤
Hi Robbie!! I had been looking for a “crop cage” for the last two years … I wanted a good sturdy Chicken cage … without chicken wire … Finally i found one with green pvc coated mesh wire! I love it!! Replaced the standard green plastic cable ties with stainless Steele cable ties … i love it!! Will be using it for blueberries and strawberries!!
Too bad you can’t use both doors in one end! Since you don’t need the door at the other end, it would be nice to have, but maybe the door pieces aren’t the right size? Love watching it all come together!
Do you think the birds will fly into the mesh that is painted black? Dog kennels are a great idea, all the wildlife tear up my garden. I'll keep an eye out for used kennels!
Could you hang a “tulle curtain” out only as far as the blue bins, from ceiling to floor and the 4 feet wide from front wall to back wall, leaving the top area uncovered like you have it now? Then cover the top everywhere else around the dog kennel? You’d be able to easily get into the bins to add things or whatever you need to do but the birds could still get directly to it and you’d have the rest of the kennel for covering and growing bug and bird free?
Now you lost me. Why would you get expensive Dog enclosures when you can get a Greenhouse that keeps heat in and keeps cold out? Which is much cheaper to buy???
Robbie you and Gary have SMARTS❤.... The world needs more of you. I love how you two work together.
Love hearing Gary's aussie accent

I did buy another set of the shelves that I got for the small dog kennel, that are working out great. Thanks

I have looked at chicken coops, but I haven't decided yet. Have you put yours up? If so, how do you like it?
There are so many different ones available now. They are becoming very popular.
The ones on Temu are legit and on sale with free shipping included right now. Can't beat that.
That sounds great! Happy Gardening ❤
@@jwater63be sure to see how a chicken coop is built, and the wire they are all different 😊 also keep in mind raccoons can rip through chicken wire
You just gave that bird a luxury suite for her future family. She looks nice & comfortable & can trust you. I'll give it a week or so😂😂
For now she can use it all she wants, we will see how it goes 😊
the dog kennels are a good idea, and I'm liking this series. It will be nice when you have them set up as you like.
I love the dog kennels, so much more to come😊 Thank You so very Much❤️❤️❤️

That sounds fantastic! I’m so happy to hear it’s working for you. Keep sharing here, thanks ❤️😊
That is why I bought a black security door because it looks better to me. It also makes that easier to see through!
Yes, very true
Hi Robbie and Gary. Hope everyone is doing great. Temps here plumeting from mid 70s to low 30s. Brrr lol
Things here might be changing tomorrow, they are calling for rain and colder, so we will see. You stay warm❤️ Thanks
Hi Robbie and Gary!
You could put a fountain outside the kennels

This is a great idea Robbie! Do you know if it's possible to connect the kennels?
Will there be a sun problem for the plants with the canopy above them?

No, birds do see the wire, will not be a problem. They just may look, but they will not be able to get in with the tulle or mesh.
@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy thank you!!

2nd
It probably be easier and faster if you just took the quarter inch wire off and set it down somewhere and use the spray gun and spray painted it

Annoying
