[Plot Introduction/ synopsis]
The play tells the story of the princess Wang Xuan (played by Zhang Ziyi) who has a first love, the third prince Zitan (played by Tony Yang). Wang Xuan was involved in the court battle because of the prophecy of "getting her, getting the world." She became her father's chess piece and married Lord Yuzhang, Xiao Qi (played by Zhou Yiwei), from a humble background. Soon, Prince Helan (played by Yuan Hong) kidnapped Wang Xuan to seek revenge on Xiao Qi. The couple fell in love with each other because of a blessing in disguise. In the end, the couple joined hands to create a new era and guard their homeland's people.

好吧我知道很多人都在說章不適合演少女，我是沒這種感覺啦！但是章在後期演的超棒很有氣質真真的王妃風範
章子怡至少有顏值有演技有氣質。
I recommend this as a must watch list of Cdrama now. Such an amazing script it is (romantic and edge of the seat thriller). Both main leads acted perfectly, their understanding for each other in this was very well done.
Story: It's about a princess who gets married to a general unwillingly(leaving her lover), but when time passes they get together very well. Between so many rivals in the kingdom she had to stay focused and help the king (her uncle) to stop the chaos and announce the next king as he dimses. The new king and his mother think that their kingdom will be snatched by the general as he became prime minister (who is powerful) and tries to kill him but in the end his younger brother assassinate the king and put the blame on general to take over the palace while the princess runaway with the crown Princess as ordered by the king and queen at their death bed. Then the princess was kidnapped and forced to get married to him afterwhile she knew her husband was killed by the kidnapper. She will be reduced by her husband (who is alive) and takes her back to the capital and announces war against the present king who caused death to his army and for assassination the king. At last the kingdom goes to the actual crown prince and both general and his wife leave the capital and live happily ever after.
Note: I only gave few main points, cause I don't want to ruin your mood before watching it. I guarantee you won't regret after watching this and thank me for the suggestion.

This drama is highly recommended! It has 68 exciting episodes to watch plus all characters are so good played by astounding actors and actresses. Zhang Ziyi will play as a teenage princess for only a few episodes, then she'll turn as a mature one. She maybe 40 in age but im telling you, she rock her role as a young princess...she's phenomenal! Not to mention her graceful acting skills. The lead actor, Zhou Yiwei..what can i say? He's stunning..a heart stealer!! My first time to see him in a drama..and he stole my heart the moment i saw him in episode one!😍

The Rebel Princess is such a great drama series. The most entertaining drama. Both actor Zhou Yi Wei/Xiau Qi n actress Zhang Zi Yi/ Awu were excellent on their roles. Xiau Qi was so strong, gentle, n romantic...so cool... Awu was so sweet, beautiful n elegant. They deserve of winning the Awards. Even the soundtracks are great ❤️👍👏

I agree. At first, it felt off watching her act childishly but as the character grew, you realize that they did not make a mistake casting ZZY. No one is more perfect as Awu than ZZY. And her chemistry with Xiao Qi? It's perfect.

Zhang Ziyi's personality perfectly suited for this particular princess role. Why some viewer pinpoint her age whereby she has so many other good attributes. Just finished watching it don't be scared from number of episodes it was totally worth it.I really like the mature characters they portrayed and a relationship evolving over the time it really felt real . This drama's off to a wonderful start. The settings, costumes and acting are incredible. Awu is adorably stubborn. My favorite part is General Xiao Qi being a force of nature, especially at 25:35. I hope he maneuvers well with palace politics too!

我觉得还好吧，没有网上说得那么糟糕，章子怡确实不是很像15岁少女，但也没有糟糕到看不动，颜值和演技还是可以的，能感觉到后期一定会比现在合适很多。总比如懿传第一集舒适一些
真的，她的臉還是很有故事性，只是抱皇上那一幕我真感覺是妃子有點錯亂😅希望劇情別再是那些套路狗血，不然就可惜這些老戲骨了！

I can get enough every episode I want to watch again and again especially the general so handsome and the princess so cute. Love their chemistry. I already watch the 40 episodes 😂 but want to start all over again because of the general . Hoping this show will have season 2 like Yanxi Palace 🤣kinda crazy because I haven't watch the final episode yet.

I started with EP8 and got hooked on it instantly. After watching the series finale, I went back to watch EP 1-7. Everything makes sense now. Great story. Fabulous acting. By the way, this is the second Chinese TV drama that I have watched entirely. The other one was Jing1 Cheng2 Si4 Shao4.

我真觉得大家太严格了 章子怡的演技在线 装容也不错 只是她眼睛天生就是这样凹陷的 你们去看她年轻时候的电影 她在里面也是这样的 她样子真没有多大变化 只是眼神少了少女的灵气而已 这个女主的性格我觉得她拿捏的很好很到位 女主不是嚣张跋扈宠溺的公主 而是被爱包围长大却懂得宫里人情世故被太后调教出来的 当然会有些老城 难道每一个15岁少女都要像偶像剧里面那样傻白甜？
男女主氣質選角都很可，應該給予肯定鼓勵，好劇👍👍
听到她对皇帝说，无论封不封王，他都只是皇上手中的一枚棋子的时候，果断判定人设不是傻白甜哈哈

Zhang Ziyi will always be my fave mean looking kick ass actress. She sh‘d have asked her younger look alike Toga Yao to act as her younger self. Overall great sets and great production,
Tong Yao is barely 6 years younger than Zhang Ziyi, would it make that much difference? For me the problem isn't so much Zhang's age, but her face and expressions are not very suited from the traditional princess role in period dramas. Maybe I'll get used to it over time, but so far it's not working for me.
@@singsongeric Thank you but I disagree, so far she is doing a fantastic job more than expected. She is the original ethereal screen goddess, acting as a princess is nothing new to her, what is important is the delivery and her acting makes one forget the obvious flows!
章子怡演出了少女的傲娇和灵动呀。挺好的。不要对女演员这么苛刻啊。明明演的一颦一笑都有戏。 是不是因为大家对她都太熟悉了，平时不是走少女路线，都是slay气场，所以有点出戏。好好看剧，会更开心。😊😊

@@user-ko2sm5kv9x 明白，说真的我同意她确实不是那么的少女（如果让一个年轻的演员来演少女部分的戏可能是最好的）。只是这部剧并不是要显示章子怡38岁还有少女感，观众如果只注意到她不够少女这一个部分未免有点苛刻，对她的演技评判也就不会那么公平。（很多优秀的女演员到了这个年龄也很尴尬，我希望我们观众对她们外表不要太过于苛刻了。至少章子怡演的还是挺好的。我个人喜欢演技好的演员多过于只有颜值的演员。）整部剧的镜头画面服装道具也都很优秀。后面真的越来越好看了，很快少女的部分就跳过了。祝观剧快乐开心 😄
我觉得演员态度认真的在演，尊重作品尊重观众，台词有背熟没有后期全靠配音，而且这些演员演技有目共睹，也被各种大奖影后公认过的。所以只要他们都在认真演就没问题的。少女的问题我相信也不是章子怡个人要求非要演的。肯定是剧组就这么安排的，所以刘云左小青他们都是少女演到妇女。没什么问题。大篇幅肯定还是嫁为人妇之后的戏
