On one of their variety shows last year, Hongjoong actually said that jongho good at dancing but to keep pitch while singing he doesn’t show off his dancing skills, and if he becomes the center in choreo, the groups name should be choi jongho with 7 others instead of Ateez 😂🙏🏻
I mean, people don't really say he can't dance (he's in ateez after all, ateez is known for being the group with all members having the potential to be a main dancer) but they do suggest that he's not as good as the other members. Any ateez member is very much above average at dancing

Those people are untrustworthy and very few in comparison to the people that praise ateez for being a group with excellent dancers. Actual choreographers are amazed by ateez.
Every one of the performance videos is just unique and ICONIC. They just prove once again how good Ateez is. 8 dancers and performers. Their synchronisation and facial expressions are crazy since pre-debut. When the performance videos got released, they went viral and people thought they were a dance group. I constantly am amazed at how good of allrounders they are…it's just MINDBLOWING.

The fact they were THIS good pre-debut is wild!! FYI Yunho's name is pronounced 'You-Know' (not Yun-ho!) :) . Def gotta check out their own dance practices - they've got EVEN better over time!! [My favs i suggested before: Guerrilla (FIX version specifically!), Hala Hala, Say My Name, Wonderland - enjoy!]
These are also the dance covers where you really get to see not only why they are so well known for their dancing, but why atiny talk about Jongho's dancing. You don't get to see him dance like this much between needing to be the vocalist and also his injury.
Ateez are known for their dancing. "Any member of ateez would be the main dancer in another group" is what people say in kpop. Jongho is the main vocalist and has to control his breath a lot more (he's also had 5 serious injuries since debut) that's why he's not as intense as the others in live performances but as I said earlier, he's still better than most dancers in kpop.
The "bad bitch puerto rican" from the first video became such an iconic fanchant during their first tours when they performed that song. I hope they bring it back for a big anniversary or something like maybe when they reach 10 years together. Or this year when they turn 5
The song for the last video was actually remixed by Hongjoong! I just want to praise ateez for already being THIS good and powerful even before debuting. It’s really insane and I think they weren’t even made to be performance group but after the pick it up video blew up, it was definite how incredible they have been from the start. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s reaction! You have been picking good videos to get a glimpse of them from different perspectives. I thank YT for putting the first performance vid on my recommended. When I saw it, I was like “who are these dudes?? I gotta keep an eye on them they’re gonna be force to be reckoned with” then they debuted and proved me right lol. So happy I’ve been here from the beginning to witness their growth! They’re truly amazing and special.
