They are the country with the lowest crime rate. You could leave your laptop out at a Cafe for hours and it will be untouched. They have very harsh penalties for crimes, which I think is great! What a country to live in!
Sure, but they also have a massive welfare state so people don't feel forced to commit crime to make ends meet. Plenty of other Asian countries have tough on crime punishments just as harsh or harsher then Singapore, but they have far greater crime rates because many of their citizens are forced to commit crime.

I also remember a taxi driver driving me to Changi and trying to make me say poor things about SG (there is no liberty, it is a dictatorship etc). I shut up, colleagues told me I did well, it could have been a policeman. Man, this didn't happen to me even in communist countries in the 80s. I agree with the taxi driver though, SG is a dictatorship. Forza Hong Kong!
