You are very informative and relaxing to watch and learn from. Thank you! I’m in nail school and a complete novice, your videos are so helpful!! I overheard my instructor say to another student to boil her brush. Well I didn’t hear everything and boiled the entire brush and it came apart lol. 😅

I'm gunna have my hubby build a brush stand that has clothes pins to hold my brushes upside down. I found a good pic of one on Pintrest! I've always heard and seen ppl storing the brushes hairs up.. but that's never made sense to me because of possible back flow, so now I'm on the hunt to find or make the perfect hairs down storage for my brushes! I sure wish this was something taught in my program! I spent a lot of money on goood brushes three or four times. Thank you for the information!!! It will save me soooo much money.
This was super helpful 👍🏻👍🏻 the amount of brushes I’ve thrown in the trash because I’ve got the wrong size , wrong shape or they have just been poor quality ‼️
I'm starting my nail tech program. They gave us synthetic acrylic brushes which I guess okay but I would prefer to learn with natural because that's what I'll be using in my career.
This was so helpful for my newbie self. I do have a question. When cleaning regular lacquer from a liner or detailer brush, should I use the clear gel to clean it?
You shouldn't use gel in it if you are using nail polish in it. You can clean it with nail polish remover, but make sure to wipe it off whenever you finish with a colour. You can use cuticle oil to keep it conditioned and shaped
If the lacquer is dried out in the brush, the gel won't be able to pull it out. In this case you might need to use a little polish remover to clean out the color, but then run the bristles through the gel to keep them pulled together and in shape. Wipe out the excess gel, but leave a little to keep the brush conditioned and shaped until the next time you use it.
Please do acrylic application I’ve been struggling with molding it (I get acrylic from Ana acrylics) & my apex I don’t really get how to do the apex it’s hard to do the little bump when I’m trying to keep the whole nail smooth. Also putting acrylic near the cuticle area is soooo hard I either put to much or too little then it causes lifting. My nails also snap in half easily I’m guessing maybe because I don’t put enough acrylic
We have a great acrylic playlist here on our channel. We can't guarantee that your acrylic will work the same way as we don't test other products. Hopefully it will help: th-cam.com/play/PLbrhuNO154v3hJIK1--EKEp_QB5A14RAU.html
You can use it for 3D art, but if you are going to do so, we recommend having a separate one that you only use with acrylic & one you use with gel. This way they will stay clean & easier to use with each product.
Haaha! That's exactly what I said! Dang.. I need to grab that pro acrylic brush with the cap and the gel brush with cap! Sigh. Just take all my money already YN!

If you take proper care of your brushes, they can last at least a year and longer. Some of our mentors have brushes they’ve used for several years! Make sure that you only wipe your brush flat with the crimp in the ferrule, only use monomer (not acetone or brush cleaners) to clean the bristles, keep it rolled to a point when you finish using it and store it either flat or (if you have brush cover) pointed downward so the excess monomer does not run into the ferrule.
#young nails I watched a video on training your Arylic Brushes and in the video she used clear top coat that air dries and she said she would put a bit on each side of the brush and then she started to flaten the hairs and left it for 24hour hours what is your opinion on this process
To clean your acrylic bushes, we only recommend using monomer. If you are using nail polish on your acrylic brush, you would then have to use another solvent to remove it. When you start to add other chemicals to your brush, this can contaminate your product and interfere with your product adhesion.
The monomer is for cleaning out your acrylic brushes and running the art brush through the clear gel will clean out gel paints from the brush. Any clear gel or gel top coat will work fo this. If you are just using air dry paints rather than gel paints, you can rinse the brushes in water to clean out the paint.
@@youngnailsinc For nail art, I don’t use acrylic paint. I use nail art polish from Klean Color and other brands. I’m still learning certain nail art techniques and watching as many videos as I can. It’s so much fun!!!! 💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️

So if we can't use alcohol on gel brushes to clean it. What about using a little bit on doing polygel nails?
Unfortunately, we can’t speak on poly gel as we do not use it.

Hi love your video! Question when I do your method why does my brush harden kind of as if they had cured slightly 😢
Are you leaving the brush in the path of your curing light or sunlight? If so, the gel could be curing on the brush.

Could the master gel brush, being a natural bristle, be used instead as an acrylic brush? Like for 3D flowers, etc?

Do a video on how to restore brushes

th-cam.com/video/j3z0FL_vlbM/w-d-xo.html
is it possible to use painting acrylic brushes as nail acrylic brushes, would it do the same job
Some paint brushes are made of kolinsky hair, so they could in theory work. We haven't tried it ourselves however.

I thought a size 12 was the standard size for acylic
We typically recommend a size 9 for beginners, but brush size is a preference.
What if you don’t have monomer? Or gel?
The monomer is for cleaning out your acrylic brushes and running the art brush through the clear gel will clean out gel paints from the brush. Any clear gel or gel top coat will work fo this.
