You might check out the wonderful San Francisco performance a few years ago. It’s on U tube. The Valencienne is Angelika Kirchslager and her Camille is not half bad. Pretty darn good in fact. Bo Skovus is a fantastic Danilo. For a big man he can move both gracefully and comically and you cannot fault his singing. Yvonne Kenny does not have the best natural soprano voice in the world but she can act and dance and portrays her Merry Widow with great panache and humour.
Gregory Turay was a very good Camille , both he and Angelika Kirchslager acted and sang most beautifully .
Quite intense for the operetta scene. Forshadows later Land of Smiles and Giugetta. Best version.😀
Those the "pavellion" melody have a name? Because it is truly beautiful.
Yes Eric, Helge Roswaenge, to my mind, is unbeatable though Piotr Bexcala is very good indeed. The closest to Roswaenge would be Nicolai Gedda

no hay derecho, nos deiaron solo los duos, no hay opera completa, esta es mi preferida, los artistas son excepcionales cantando, actuando , bailando, lo que sea, que voces taaaan hermosas masculinas y femeninas, por favor devuelvanos la opera completa, ademas mi aleman mejora así que no necesito los subtítulos.
