If you are replacing/upgrading an existing home router, follow the guidance about cloning the current MAC profile of the old router when you see that option in the setup window he discusses. By cloning your existing router's MAC profile, you eliminate the need for a call to your internet service provider to have them set up the new router for you. He also discusses this situation and why cloning will avoid it. Overall, a five-star review for making an essential technical operation easy, and an additional star for revealing the incredibly labor/angst-saving tip about cloning the existing router's MAC profile. The new router's directions don't mention this, nor did my ISP when I specifically asked them, beforehand, what trip points I might encounter when replacing my existing router.

It only works when I connect the mixer on the yellow port. I am supposed to connet a tablet using wifi and my computer usind an UTP cable. Thank you.

If it works without MAC cloning, then you're fine and won't need to do it! Some ISPs work different than others. The MAC cloning is only an additional step if you require it. Thanks for asking!
The problem is, this router says it does 450 Mbps, my Internet is 230mbs, its only giving me 40/50 Mbps for wifi, on my laptop wired it gives 80/90 mbps, how is it not doing the full speed that its supposed to do, and the app connected to it on my phone is so confusing and frustrating, I feel like just giving it back
I have it all the plugs are in all the right ports and right before the MAC cloning step its saying 'the cable is unplugged' even though the ethernet cable they give you is definitely in there, so I don't know what the problem is

@@Aaronja234 Yes, and it is wireless however you have to plug this into your modem/ existing router with a CAT6 cable and then you can connect devices wirelessly to the TP Link
You can't get the Mac address if you don't have the router. This is an optional step. If you're having trouble getting online you'll need to contact your ISP and tell them you upgraded your router and they can help you out.

Just use it on the LAN (yellow) port instead if the blue one is not working. And buy some Ethernet/cat6 adapter for more spaces on your yellow ports

You can't get the Mac address if you don't have the router. This is an optional step. If you're having trouble getting online you'll need to contact your ISP and tell them you upgraded your router and they can help you out.
