- I am opening two FOTL (1st/First Off The Line) hobby boxes of the new 2023/24 Panini Recon Basketball for our next collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/product review! These boxes have an SRP of $160 but resell in the $300 range (FOTL resells in the $400 range). Every box contains 10 6-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 2 autographs and 20 inserts or parallels per box. FOTL boxes contain 2 exclusive parallels /12 or less (Orange Holo or Platinum Swirl) or 1 exclusive parallel and 1 auto /18 or less (Pink or Platinum). These boxes come with chances at pulling rare rookie parallels of Victor Wembanyama, rookie patch autos (RPA) of the top players from the 2023 NBA Draft class in their NBA jerseys, ultra-rare SSP case-hit inserts (Gala, Fuzion, Contours), rare Draft Night Acetate Signatures, various SP/SSP parallels (1/1 Platinum, SSP Holo Dots, Green /5, Gold /10, new Effect /49, new Purple /75, Bronze, Holo, Red, Blue), various inserts (The Mighty, Rock the Rim, Portraits, Sky's the Limit, Vector, World Travelers, Rookie Review), on-card & sticker autos of the NBA's top rookies/stars/legends/HOFers (Caligraphy, Private Signings, Archetype, Novice, Seasoned Pro, Sophomore Acetate, True Potential), rare cards of Wemby, Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Brandon Miller, Anthony Edwards, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Steph Curry, Scoot Henderson, Nikola Jokic, Keyonte George, Ausar Thompson, & Amen Thompson, and more! You’re one of the few people that can rip every product, you should do an end of the year ranking every year.
I used to do those but the sets are so delayed that by the time they all drop, it’s already near the end of the next collecting year
Every product doesn’t need 3 different case hits. Panini is watering them down, they are basically just glorified inserts that hold slightly more value
Recon 23-24 is a W. Good value. Bought into a PYT break for $30 and hit two FOTL exclusives /3 and /12 plus a short print rookie review.

If he could get a card or a little dollar pack or any pack SPECIFICALLY and simply from you I bet it would raise spirits tremendously man hes currently in a coma put expected wake up any day now!!! i think recon really improved this year. The cards look really clean and its pretty cheap which makes it easier to get
That Chet parallel was a sick design and I like the look of the base cards but unfortunately, like most products this year, the autograph lineup is an F. Box 1 was better than box 2

1. Can you explain some of the acronyms you use, like PC, fotl, etc. I am new to this and sometimes get lost.
2. What is a good place to start? I'm looking for packs and / or boxes (baseball, football, and WWE) that aren't super expensive (I'm not independently wealthy).
