I've never touched alcohol in my life, and never really felt I was missing out on anything. Perks of being a Muslim.
Andrew Huberman's episode on alcohol just reinforced that for me, and that I made the right choice there.

I never touched alcohol, either. As an atheist, I had no religious reason to do so. It just never made sense to me to start poisoning my body.

I also made this choice a couple years ago. I didn't like the way alcohol made me feel. I am also a follower of Christ....and I felt I should not look to any substance to unwind or feel better. A personal choice. :-) Thanks Jerad.

Thanks for sharing this! I find it creates a sense of dependency that a lot of us currently or have dealt with. Seems like a lot of us deal with this and know the mental health toll (and my habit of late-night snacking when I drank) than we’d like to admit.
Kudos to you for being honest about this. The need for a “wind down” drink at night is likely a symptom of something else. And, if anything, it’s an expensive habit!

This is a value added, excellent video. Thank you for sharing your journey and wisdom. I will be using "alcohol is this generation's cigarettes".

Exactly, it's a fact that quitting booze not only makes your world a better place to be in, good things start to “magically” happen and the energy is insane! Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever, that’s the best shortcut I go’ogled that took less than a week to work without suffering withdrawal.
