A great Man ofcourse. My father worked in Packages Ltd for 39 yrs and retired in 2005. My father told many times about this great man. He told that how he learned to save water, by Babar Ali himself, and that way we still are using in our lives. There is an Ocean of Prayers on the back of Syed Babar Ali.

He is a true legend and I can’t help but grin when Jugnu tried telling the facts her way which I can defo say we’re more sugar coated but Babar sahab is MashaAllah an honest man and man of great greats morals and he is not afraid of calling spade a spade . I belong to Jalandhar, Indian Punjab, and my maternal grandparents were none other than the Bhallas of Lahore. It is said that before partition, Anarkali Bazaar was synonymous with Bhalla Shoe Company, and its patriarch, Seth Dhani Ram Bhalla of Lahore. My mother still has moist eyes whenever she reads about the glory days of undivided Lahore. Can I request you to please make an episode on Bhalla Shoe Company in your show Jugnu Ka Des? I, and my family will forever be indebted.

Listening to Syed Babar Ali, one fact is evident that the moral compass has deteriorated in recent generations; effect of materialistic world. Such decay has gone worse after episodes like evacuee properties and many such “opportunities” for which many into competed to be larger recipient than others.
My sincere thanks to Jugnu and respected Salaams to Babar Sahib. Thanks for your gift of LUMS to Pakistan, which you will be remembered for ever.
Thx for the program. My salute to you and your uncle. I do have one question: How could his roll number be 84 (somewhere in the 1930s) given that Aitchison was founded in 1886.

Syed Baber Ali and his brother Syed Wajid Ali are the best business men's of Pakistan.
In the Indian subcontinent the real classy people exist mainly in Pakistan such as the Hostess above and her uncle in subject. In India we can find few classy Punjabi families too but they are rare. I am an Indian and I always believed in what I just wrote.

Sayed Babbar Ali Sahab is such versatile man - but despite with people like him Pakistan couldn't progress economically. Is it because ZA Bhutto's socialism policy?
A request to Jugnu Mohosin Sahiba . There was a great entrepreneur in Pakistan who relocated his factory from India to Pakistan and even used to manufacture aeroplane's parts. Bhutto nationalised this factory. And the factory turned into loss maming unit . Later the gentleman was asked to take over the factory but he refused. Would madam Jugnu make a video about this gentleman?
Asalamualikum, my father in law Syed Tufail Ahmed, was the CFO in packages, always praised Syed Babar Ali . After this interview I now know why he always talked about him with love n respect. Please give my regards to him. May Allah give him long life with health n Emaan.

*What a living legend & visionary person, worked under his Chairman ship in another Swedish Company & would like to quote about his vision " Tetra Pack was newly established in 80's in Pakistan & asked the question who is going to buy milk in a paper packing its not our culture, his reply was " One day you will see that every little thing used as a household you will get in a package be it sugar or butter " now I realise this is what the vision is. کسی شہر میں رہنا اور کسی شہر میں بسنا دو مختلف چیزیں ہیں اور دونوں مختلف کیفیات۔
لاہور میں رہنا نہیں، بسنا پڑتا ہے اور پھر لاہور آپ کے دل میں بس جاتا ہے اور ایسا بستا ہے کہ پھر کوئی اور اس دل میں بس نہیں سکتا۔
مہرالنساء لاہور میں نور جہاں بن کر آسودۂ خاک ہوئیں۔ لاہور سے انہیں بڑی محبت تھی، جس کا اظہار اس لازوال شعر کی صورت میں کیا:
لاہور را بہ جان برابر خریدہ ایم
جاں دادہ ایم و جنتِ دیگر خریدہ ایم
(لاہور کو ہم نے جان کے برابر قیمت پر حاصل کیا ہے۔ ہم نے جان قربان کر کے نئی جنت خرید لی ہے)
پطرس بخاری نے کہا تھا کہ لاہور کے کاٹے کا علاج نہیں۔
کرشن چندر نے لکھا کہ لاہور آدمی کو بوڑھا نہیں ہونے دیتا۔
مشہور افسانہ نگار کرشن چندر لاہور میں رہے، ایف سی کالج میں تعلیم پائی۔ وہ اس شہر سے بے پناہ محبت کرتے تھے۔ آزادی کے وقت ہندوستان جانے کے بعد بھی اپنی روح لاہور ہی میں چھوڑ گئے۔
اس شہر کا تذکرہ وہ کسی بچھڑے ہوئے محبوب کی طرح رقت آمیز لہجے میں کیا کرتے تھے۔ وہ لاہور سے آنے والوں کو بڑی حسرت سے دیکھتے اور اپنے محبوب شہر کی گلی کوچوں، بازاروں، عمارتوں، باغوں کا تفصیل سے حال معلوم کیا کرتے۔ کرشن چندر نے احمد ندیم قاسمی کے نام اپنے خط میں لکھا کہ لاہور کا ذکر تو کجا، اس شہر کے بارے میں سوچتا بھی ہوں تو آنکھیں بھیگ جاتی ہیں۔
راجندر سنگھ بیدی جنہوں نے اپنے ادبی سفر کا آغاز محسن لاہوری کے قلمی نام سے کیا تھا، مرتے دم تک لاہور کے عشق میں گرفتار رہے۔ لاہور کی باتیں کرتے ہوئے ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسوؤں کی جھڑی لگ جاتی۔ ایک مرتبہ ٹی وی پر انٹرویو کے دوران لاہور کا ذکر آیا تو پھوٹ پھوٹ کر رونے لگے۔ اے حمید برما میں قیام کے دوران اپنی جنم بھومی امرتسر کی بجائے لاہور کو یاد کیا کرتے تھے۔ وہ کہاکرتے تھے کہ لاہور کا نام زبان پر آتے ہی طلسم و اسرارکی الف لیلہ کا ایک باب کھل جاتا ہے۔ لاہور ایک شہر ہی نہیں، یہ ایک کیفیت کا نام ہے۔
سید احمد شاہ پطرس بخاری کا شمار بھی لاہور کے سچے عاشقوں میں ہوتا تھا۔
نیویارک میں قیام کے دوران انہوں نے صوفی تبسم کے نام ایک خط میں پوچھا، "کیا راوی اب بھی مغلوں کی یاد میں آہیں بھرتا ہے؟"
گویا یہ شہر اپنے عاشقوں کے اعصاب پر ایسا سوار ہوتا ہے کہ وہ کبھی کسی دوسری جگہ پر سکون نہیں پا سکتے۔ جمنا داس اختر، گوپال متل، پران نوائل، اور ان جیسے کئی قلمکار آزادی کے بعد لاہور سے کوچ کر گئے، لیکن ان کا دل لاہور ہی میں اٹکا رہا۔
معروف شاعرہ شبنم شکیل لاہور کے ہجر میں غزلیں کہتی رہیں۔ بھارتی فلمی اداکار پران، اوم پرکاش، دیو آنند، یش چوپڑا، اور ناول نگار بپسی سدھوا جیسے مشاہیر لاہور کی بزم سے اٹھ جانے کے باوجود اس کی طرف بار بار مڑ کر دیکھتے رہے۔
اگر یہ کہا جائے تو غلط نہ ہوگا کہ لاہور ایک کیف و مستی کا نام ہے، ایک نشہ ہے جو طاری ہوجائے تو اترنے کا نام نہیں لیتا۔

گمبٹ ضلع خیرپور میرس میں فقیر ٹیکسٹائل ملز بھی بابر علی شاہ کے ننھیال کی لگائی تھی آور وہ سید جاجا میاں کہلاتے تھے فقیر جننگ مل اور فقیر سینما بھی تھی وہ بھی سخی مشہور تھے ابادگاروں سے اچھا رویا تھا ہمارے رشتے دار میاں فیض محمد عباسی سے دوستی تھی
