I think your wrong on the lose/lose scenario. I think most Vols fans will be happy with TN coming out in the first half and taking care of business and getting some young players in for the 4th quarter. I would be thrilled for sure.

Scouting report on the VOLS offense. When they run the ball they will ALWAYS run between the tackles and they will call 47 wide receiver screens. Other than that you have Nothing to prepare for. Control the clock, protect the ball, minimize penalties and beat the VOLS.
You're right. If they don't open up the offense, they will again get embarrassed.
Heupel is an offensive genius, and my favorite coach we’ve had since Cutcliffe and Fulmer actually liked each other.. but let’s be honest and get to the root of the problem..
Heupel is a brilliant offensive mind, cool as the other side of the pillow, but just as “a.d.d.” as every true genius any of you know! Furthermore,

From UTSA side - UTSA has yet to put on a solid all around performance. Their running game has been the only consistent. Everything else has been off. If UTSA came in healthy and with JT Clark who wasn't mentioned, was their best WR until a huge injury, it might have been closer. I predict ya'll win by 21-28 points.

Is the new clock rule a bigger hindrance than we thought in the off-season? Seems like each team is getting less possessions per game? If you go 3 and out now it can really put you behind the 8 ball it seems?
I mean, there have been some people who made points about it affecting us negatively but overall, if we get to the line, call the play, run the play and don't wait until the clock has 10 seconds on it and call audibles and all the other stupid crap which has been going on, the new rule kinda helps us to be real. If run this offense the way it can be done and was last year, look out. I just don't see it with joe at the helm and Halzle as the OC.
If we correctly play the Josh Heupel offense, the shortened game should not impact us. We need to get back to playing really fast.

Look man I was a Milton guy and said all off-season he was the man and he'd do it. I've soured on that completely. He doesn't have it. He can't get the most out of this offense and receivers that were often wide open against SEC opponents last year can't/won't do it this year. Joe's the leader of the squad so it all falls back on him imo. He hardly ever extends a drive with his legs. He sits I'm the pocket too long. He takes too long to make audibles.
Joe may have not been the main reason we lost ill give you that but he certainly didn't give us the best chance to win. He's a lame duck at this point and it's probably going to take another injury for huepel to try someone else in a game time situation.
Also if they blow the doors off like they should against UTSA, I'll be content. It's not lose/lose. Take care of business. Show us there's reason to be hopeful.ill still be weary but there's at least hope.
YOU ARE SPOT ON DUDE. I was the world's biggest Joe Milton fan all off season. I wanted him to be successful so badly FOR HIM. He had stuck with it and put his time and work in and he deserved it. I criticized people who criticized him. I kept telling people to give nothing but their full throated support to him and that he would prove everyone wrong. He's failed. OL or no OL issues, receivers dropping or not dropping perfect throws, he hasn't a good understanding of or any control of the offense, he plays tight, he throws the ball to the turf monster or overthrows receivers, he doesn't tuck and run when he needs to, he can't hit receivers while he's rolling out if he even does that at all. It's horrible. He's the guy you tell to "go here, do this and don't even think about it, just do two things and do them perfectly." He's a specific role guy, not the field general who has to think and maintain confidence. And we have an $8 million dollar kid sitting the sideline who outruns him, who can roll out of the pocket, who can hit throws while rolling, who does tuck and run if pressured, who had that offense running VERY quickly and exactly the way it looked last year. He has the instinct and the finesse that Hendon Hooker had. It's sickening that we don't just cut the cord and go with the future star.
He’s not Hendon Hooker it’s kind of really what it boils down to. I don’t think he’s bad. His accuracy has been better than it was. He has gotten a much help from the O-line? No. Has he played bad enough to be benched? No. Does that mean that starting Nico is still not the better option long-term? I don’t know.

Demote Hawlsey and promote a coach who has the stones to bench Joe. Gaston Moore is the best qb on our roster this year. Nico is the future but it is not fair to throw him in there this year. Joe has cost us a loss in Neyland against Pitt. He also caused the lost in Gainsville last week. Gaston Moore threw 4 tds in the orange and white game. Hawsleys coaching capabilities are in question by playing Joe.

If someone had told me in the 90s or even after we lost to LSU when we should have beaten the breaks off of them in that 2001 SEC title game that we were about to endure a quarter century of this kind of misery, I would have said they were high on crack.

I found that watching the last 3 SEC games involving these Josh Heuple coached Tennessee teams is that Physicality and toughness are the ways to beat Tennessee. Just ask South Carolina and Georgia from the previous year, both those teams were very physical with Tennessee... Tennessee's skill players seems like they refuse to hit the weight room. Nico's arms looked like a pencil stick over on the sideline against Florida... If the vols do not change their physical nature and attitude, they will not beat South carolina or Georgia

Milton’s had 3 chances this year and 5 other years worth of chances to shine. It’s not happening! Love for him to prove me wrong but history isn’t on his side.

Lets be honest we needed alex golesh waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than anybody but heuple knew 🤷🏽♂️ joey halzle aint it basically throwing screens all game its embarrassing the oline has been terrible all season long without cooper mays but cooper cant play every line position and there's a problem everywhere there 🤦🏾♂️ we used the portal and so far the best thing we got out if it is a kicker maaaaan let me stop
